  2. Flew in 2 days ago.. there seems to be a requirement for Neg Covid test PCR or ATK in the last 72 hrs.. the domestic check in will check your documents before issuing a boarding pass .I was ok with my 'Thailand Pass' that they asked for it satisfied all requirements re Vax and test. I would check with the airline company before or you go to the airport and find out exactly what is needed .. at arrival CNX passenger are expected to scan in the huge QR codes in the Mor chana app  in the baggage hall

ok and Air Asia asked me to change my N95 vent mask to a non vent

If only riding and maybe 1 or 2 smaller discourses on the way, then 2 days.

If you want to spend a night in Pai, plan to visit the caves, hot springs, ban cha bo, ban rak Thai and some other villages then you can also spend 3 or 4 days

Yes Tham Lot cave near Soppong well worth a visit there are guesthouses nearby .. also Ban Jabo the Black Lahu village on the 1226 has homestays and amazing sunrise views

    please can you explain why?

Massive gun & knife culture / terrible food / lot's of typhoons / lots of poverty.

The only good thing about it is everyone speaks decent English ( however, it's with an annying accent ).

Good for a holiday if you're into beaches, not for living IMO.

    Pretty much nailed it

    Pros ... cheap beer

Did you ever even get a smile at Jok Somphet?

Somphet was by far and away the worst service and rudest staff I have encountered in CM. Used to love their chicken in gravy style dishes with crispy bai makroud, quite remarkable, but haven't been in years now............................

Same here I put up with the surly service for years because of the 'Gai Ob' and Jok but after they moved a few doors away it went downhill and pricey fast have'nt been back

At Central Westgate everyday....the line is queued on 3 floors for SinoVac...whether the Thais you know will not get it is inconsequential...obviously a majority of Thais are lining up in droves for the shot and a shot at normalcy.

Personally, I try to avoid droves of people.

I asked a lady friend today why she did not go to get vaccinated and got the same answer

    too many crowds ..

I watch the news daily for an announcement that they have created chicken flavour carrots, beef flavoured broccoli and lamb flavoured potatoes.  I enjoying eating but these bloody vegetables get tiresome ????

I think chicken flavoured KFC will be a long way off though, even when they use chicken.

Getting more dog food sounding,,,,,,,,,,,,  last time I had anything from them a friend bought, it was a BLACK Bun, well my dogs appeared to enjoy it.

Gawd I remember those black bun things at KFC .. tried one couldn't finish it.. absolute gross!

Then DNA test kit from ebay £110 .. after result .. money saved several million baht ..

    thanks for reply!

Mind if i ask wt is the DNA test kit used for if the birth certificate already had your legal name on it?

I bought the DNA test kit off ebay when in the Uk then traveled to CM for the birth .. took her to the Gov maternity hospital and as soon as she was discharged had to get my name transliterated to Thai for the 'fathers details'  on the birth certificate

I took swabs from inside the babies mouth before returning to the Uk and the results arrived 5 days later confirming my suspicions (she disappeared for 5 days around the time of the conception) She confessed to her deceit and has changed the kids surname via her local Amphur I am not legally the Father as it was never registered with the embassy

I think if you need legal binding DNA paternity tests done in Thailand they have to be done through 'the Police hospital' at Bangkok

Take salt add it in water, clear your mouth with it and hey you are good to go even with Corona Viruses, easy one know this since early 2020. Maybe the Uni will invent bottles and plate sooner. Wow.... Amazing.... ???? P.S. any good mouth wash would do the same job.

Even easier just get a packet of 10B Mybacin Zinc and suck on couple of those .. will disable any of those nasty virus thingies lurking around there ..
