  1. No visa requirement for Indians should redress that issue!
  2. This will not end well.... if there is a group of 'tourists' that will overstay and vanish into the country, I suspect Indians......they get about more than the Irish.
  3. They have not really proven themselves capable in that respect. They just employ police who effectively add to that list. What these later licensing times do to the benefit or detriment overall... well we will have to see.
  4. My neighbour used motorcycle taxi drivers that way... he hired 2 of them, one drove him and his car home, the other followed to return the other guy after.
  5. Pattaya Mail (hardcopy) only comes out every 2 weeks....some information may become dated in that timespan.
  6. Used to be that every Thai girl sat at a beer bar had one of these stuck up a nostril.
  7. Well a hospital gown has been a substitute for one of them... just to keep up the facade.
  8. Where on earth did you learn of that association?
  9. Lazada will likely supply anything you cannot find in Fascino. That said, I always travelled back to Thailand with quite a few large bottles of the multivitamins as I could find them far far cheaper in the UK.
  10. Presuming you have the old passport with the reentry stamp in it, that should be shown on arrival at Bangkok, of course with the new passport, then get an entry stamped into the new passport. You then get the extension transferred into the new passport at immigration. I believe a letter is needed confirming the new passport, which you may not have after obtaining the new one in the UK. An agent supplied me with one, maybe easier to get them to transfer the Extension too.
  11. Yes, I went for many years without a TM30, and agree, if you had no need of anything from immigration, one could get away with it... I was always somewhat concerned doing my Extension each year, but I never had an issue. Then I got to the point of not wanting the stress, so started to get an agent to do my legwork.. never seemed to need much of anything! Recent feedback suggests they are now being stricter at Jomtien.... and fines get issued regularly. Bloody irritating as getting to distant immigration within 24hours of flying half way round the world was not how I wanted to live. Jomtiem making up it's own interpretations is annoying too.
  12. That's a great advert for going off grid......and no petrol/diesel bills too!!!
  13. Revenge and hatred. I was watching a historical documentary but a few days back, on the House of Stuart, and what some King's wife dictated done to some noble who crossed her was truly barbaric. Gaza is still in the dark ages!

Yes, chatting to a work colleague once, sat in front of his desk, I nearly fell over backwards when he took the baseball cap off, I had never seen his bald noggin before!
  15. Yes mine too, and I formerly did my own registering online....but an agent said, in order to get a COR once, I needed the Soi 5 issued and stamped slip. I was told that was good forever, near as damn, or until I moved to another place. It is more recent that I heard a TM30 is needed each time one enters the country wrt Jomtien. It was also mentioned at an Expats Club meeting I went to. I believe your 'precaution' is warranted, or get an agent to do it. Damned fancy new building and changed procedures... they just want to hit more people with a fine is my thoughts!
  16. Yes I believe so, which suggests the OP needs to do a TM30 unless it will be done by his place of residence.

This is a Pattaya forum, get real!
  18. Coincidentally visited a restaurant last night that appeared to have put up their prices around 10% since last visit too!
  19. And where is the data coming from that gives you the information to dispute the numbers?
  20. One can only go by the data out there. https://tradingeconomics.com/thailand/inflation-cpi
