    What, with the low interest paid on deposits (even FDs) here in Thailand and the deduction of Withholding tax? I struggle to believe that.... I am more inclined to say an older guy need not buy his condo but rent as he can't take a condo with him. Five million baht will pay a rent of 10,000 for 40 years.

    Pattaya, that is the forum we are in. What is 'unreal' homelessness? Do the temples chuck people out during daytime to wander and lay in the streets, like the Salvation army hostels did?

    Is there some obligation for City Hall to provide places to smoke? They struggle to supply parking spaces and keep the roads and pavements in order. Perhaps these now defunct weed shops can become smoking houses?

    Well it isn't like we don't also have many locals homeless in town, some of whom do a bit of begging too. Pushing a shopping cart along the beach sounds like hard work, is he perhaps a fitness fanatic?

    Yes, signs including some large fine, parking in front of someone's building was always a good one. I always pondered the idea of whether a little Mall security guy could get a 5000 fine off a shirtless 6 ft 6 Russian!

    If you are looking around Big-CX, because of remodeling it isn't possible to find anything except rice and coca cola! Prior to that they had plenty Yorkshire Tea, and the one the monkeys like, PG Tips, plus some of the local stuff. I stick to Yorkshire myself.

    Well at least the school's vetting process could do with improvement. It isn't only about their English language abilities before setting them loose on kids.

    There seem to be more of them every few weeks.... they have been around a long time and likely will outlive the Indian restaurants. A few venues coming onto the market too as weed shops give up under the assault. I wonder how many massage places have Indian owners?

    There is surely a lot more variations we can have on this....in the great varieties we have in 2025 (LGBTQIA+). Interesting note on a theme though. I Wonder how many surprised looks they have had when confronted with a 200b joiner fee.

    Hah, you eventually got to the point in my mind as I read your post. There is only the Hi Speed railway project I can think of, and that will be some years yet. The monorail seems to have gone quiet.
