A very sad and tragic incident.  As we get older we see things happen to our friends and others. A reminder that any thing can happen to anybody at any time, rich or poor. Lead life to the full now. I have changed my way of life now, not worrying about money for the future, (have enough) live for the present and enjoy family and friends and see the world.

So why do you need to know ?  Presume, as it was a fireball the occupants would be fried and a bit hard to identify, and then relatives have to be notified first, when they are sure.

First thing to do is buy The Lonely Planet Phrase Book. It has everything in there to keep you learning for a couple of years. Thats how I learnt to start with.  Now find a nice friendly girl who will help you with the pronunciation and tones.  A few lessons at a school may help but not hard to find an older school kid to help you learn.  Talking in the bar is a great way to practice.

Never heard anyone from the religious groups responsible apologise for anything the clergy done. Many priests have been found guilty but the Pope keeps his mouth shut.

Where are the rubbish bins ??  They don't need them cos there is no rubbish collection cos there is nowhere to put it !!  Local councils are not interested in the problem.  So people just dump it or leave it where they have finished. DO NOT blame a Thai problem on tourists.

The Chinese tourists are not the problem, Thailand is !  Land of Scams, rip offs, thieves, murderers, rapists and more.

It was their lack of discipline and determination to walk deeper into the cave that got them in the sh*t to start with.  They would have all died if it wasn't for the heroic efforts of the cave diving teams.  Pm is full of crap, as always.

I agree with you, that is not a 170 Kph impact. At that speed the car would be  scrap metal well underneath the truck. Also the rev counter is showing a low reading.

There is no way they will get 100,000 people. I think Assen is the only circuit that gets that many. Still, I am sure they will doctor the attendance figures !  The traffic will be chaotic.  Pity all the big truck drivers bringing the equipment and bikes from BKK. Its a long slow journey.

I thought Thai Airways were trying to save money and now they are splashing out on luxury meals on short haul flights !
