Vaccine Passport issuance in Bangkok
unblocktheplanet replied to thedemon's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
This looks identical to the old vaccination booklets given out by Thai Red Cross. Blockchain is better. But if you think you won't need one, better just stay at home! -

Is the herd immunity dream dead?
unblocktheplanet replied to Harry Om's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
This statement is only true for those countries which have high levels of vaccination. The figures scare the unvaccinated into taking the jab, hopefully keeping the rest of us safer. BUT it is NOT true for Thailand! We have an unforeseeable row to hoe. -
It appears ATK tests are accurate when testing on Day 1 & Day 3 to insure correct results which are then backed up by PCR testing. The numbers are truly staggering: - Since December 14 second wave, just shy of 800k Covid+ in Thailand, rising by some 20k per day. This includes prisoners. - ~210k+ in care; ~1k+ in ICU; ~1k+ on ventilators. In Bangkok (not including adjacent provinces): - Second wave, centred in Samut Sakhon, 2,168 Covid+ - Third wave (Alpha or UK strain) March 22-July 6 89,161 Covid+ - Fourth wave (Delta or Indian strain) 108,575 Covid+ In the capital, we're seeing ~4k Covid+ per day. The numbers above do NOT include ATK tests. Deaths so far (though in my opinion this is not the most important metric) 6,646 on August 11 rising ~200/day. Will vaccines pull us out of this? Will more contagious, more deadly strains emerge? Or will the virus retreat on its own, as many viruses have, including Spanish flu, after a full three years. This is not over by a long shot.

What they forgot to tell us about mouth cleaning.

Do you mean you don't rinse the toothpaste after you brush?!? Fluoride is great for your pearlies but you would NOT want to swallow it! I've switched to fluoride-free dental floss & tooth powder. However, I still use Colgate Plax (w fluoride, unfortunately). I rinse after the floss & before the brush. Interesting story about fluoride. Fluoride is a waste by-product of bauxite mining and aluminum smelting. Stuff is poison; only thing industry could use it for was rat poison in grain silos. Until they discovered it hardened tooth enamel (the rats?) & could sell it. -

This was cashflow, not profit. How much money was made in the scheme by Thais in the hospitality industry?
