Health minister challenged over young boys seen smoking weed in Pattaya
jvs replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So in that mindset, who is responsible for use of illegal drugs? The Thai government is not really accepting much responsibility for anything. How often has a minister stepped down because of a major failure on his/her part? I think the parents are firstly responsible for anything a child eats or drinks. If there are no parents then all bets are off over here. -

I also believe this is the source of many problems in todays society. It also goes so deep that no one is even attempting to tackle this problem. I think it all started with the feminism movement but it is very off topic and i probably already said too much. Problems galore. -
Health minister challenged over young boys seen smoking weed in Pattaya

Very good that this incident is exposed but that is where it should end. Young kids should not be using this but it is not their responsibility. The 25 year old should have been arrested for providing this drug to the kids. I have seen young children drinking alcohol in front of their parents. All good for a laugh. I am just wondering how many young kids are using other (illegal) drugs like yaba. It is not the health ministers fault that people are using drugs,it is up to the parents or guardians and if none are available the responsible party is the government. This Democrat mp is also part of the government so he is also partly to blame. This is not primary a drug problem but a broken family issue. I think this incident is used as an excuse to blame Cannabis and its legality but that is not what is the problem here. Cannabis has been legal for about six months now and Thai society in general is doing just fine with it and none of the predictions about all the woes have come out. Just another cheap political attack,if the Democratic mp wants to do something good he should find these kids and have them taking care off.- 94 replies

Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
jvs replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
Overestimating Russia has been going on for a long time, until early this year. It has all gone downhill for Russia after that, can you not see this? "The world second best army" could not even get it right against a much smaller country. The Ukrainians are fighting our battle in their country and they are the ones dying and suffering. The least we can do is supply them with enough weapons and gear to chase the Russian out and that is what is happening now. The only other way this could end is Putin running full speed into a bullet and a total regime change in Russia. The people are slowly getting fed up with all the bs they have been getting and that will start to have effect also. In the past the Russian have always waited for winter to help them win, this time it could be winter that is defeating them. Freezing to death in a fox hole while hungry and having low moral is not what i would call a good thing for the Russians but great for the Ukraine. -

Seems appropriate today. -
It all depends, are they monks first and strayed or are they basically criminals who hide in a temple?

Use diesel fuel,it will not give you a whoosh like gasoline but once started it burns more hot then gasoline and lasts longer. You can even throw diesel onto a fire to help it along,do not try that with gasoline. Wood soaked in diesel can safely be ignited with a match.

Assault on Kiev: Russian helicopters swoop above Ukraine's capital
jvs replied to Chris.B's topic in The War in Ukraine
Also remember ,Russian soldiers are already underfed, under equipped and demoralized. The Ukrainian soldiers are welcomed with open arms and given hospitality and food by their own citizens . No matter which way you look at it,if the Russian government had any sense of reality they would stop this senseless war. It will only get worse for them if they try to hold on. -

We just germinate and plant in a big pot containing home made compost. They all grow just fine. You are right, don't mess with nature.

I remember reading last year that by x-mass time (last year) bitcoin would be 124 000 dollars. I have absolutely no confidence in the so called professionals. Yes it has been going up and down in price a lot over the years but i do believe the circumstances now are much different from before. -
Should I carry passport with me all the time?
jvs replied to parafareno's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Send a copy of your passport and visa to your own e-mail. If you do not carry your passport and if one chance in a million they take you to the police station you will always be able to show it. -
Yes it is a very nice bike! The handle bars are ideal if you go off road and they are also adjustable somewhat. I really have no idea why There are not more types of bikes like this. In the Philippines they have had this type for a long time already and they are very popular there. I saw this bike there many years ago.

I hate to take everything off when you have to fuel up plus i like to design and built stuff. I had to look awhile to find this bike, bought it four months ago. It is a 2006 and it had only 20 000 km on it,everything like new. Service book and everything, the only draw back is it has no electric start but 1 kick and it runs. Yes plenty of power, the newer bikes have no chance. My 115 Spark only foes 90,this one does 125 easily.

Ok, i see.Did you have your ribs x-rayed? Bruising hurts more then breaking and you can wrap them to ease the pain. All part of biking and one of the reasons traveling with more people is usually safer but i also like going alone and do my own thing. I stop where i like and how long i like and luckily there are now more and more camping sites to stay.

I always try to pack my heavy stuff as low as possible on the bike but you are not carrying a lot so you should have no balance problem. I carry around 30kg or so,tent, sleeping bag, mattress and food and water. I considered buying a new bike also this year but the CT125 is too expensive for me and the Suzuki J crossover took too long to become available. I settled for an older bike and it is pretty well ready now. Need to change a few more things but i went for a short trip and it is ok for now.
