I am curious why you and others post such detailed personal information on various threads. We all know that as I type your balance (on paper) could be say 170 to 200k or even outside this range and 5 minutes later back to 187k. Would you and others post if tomorrow 187k had reduced to 30k or would you be too stressed? Seems like a pointless quote and competition and newbies may not understand the risks.
This is the thing we are at a peak so everyone talking/boasting,,,,I’ve seen bitcoin drop from 12,000 to 3,000 gbp could easily happen again ,they won’t be talking about there balances then.

I realize how crazy it must sound but, even with a house already paid for, $1m is really not enough for one person. We know for sure that fiat currencies will devalue sharply over the next year or two, that is simply the natural consequence of extreme money-printing, so, don't fall into the easy trap of thinking that a million is a lot. It won't be.
You probably have another 40 years ahead of you, most of them healthy and active if medical science continues to improve. You may want to travel more than ever when you are 70 or, even, 80. As you age, there may be new medical treatments or assistive technology that you will want but that will be expensive. Aim to extract a few million more from this unique situation, there may not be many more opportunities like this.
We are talking 1 million gbp ...we are in Thailand ..equals 40 million bht I think that would do me and I’m only 48...if someone sitting on 28 bitcoins and not cashing any out at this stage is pretty foolish

A lot of the hate for Bitcoin is fueled by self-recrimination: most of the loudest critics knew about Bitcoin years ago, probably thought it was a neat idea, possibly even thought about investing but didn't because the price was already $50 or whatever and they felt they had missed the boat.
My advice to anyone is very simple. Take a small amount of money, maybe $1000, that you would otherwise save or invest, and buy some Bitcoin and/or Ether. Ignore all the other coins. Then ignore your investment for a year. Don't get swept up by the rapid highs and lows, don't even think about it.
That way, you will be able to enjoy a nice suprise at the end of the year, and will no longer be so torn up about friends who made millions. You will also have a better understanding of how it all works and be able to make more informed decisions about how to deploy your savings.
Countless friends, family members, employees, and acquaintances have taken this advice and it has worked out well for all of them. Some have chosen to go deeper, but I always counsel them to be conservative and never place more than 20% of their savings into crypto.
After just over a year, my girlfriend now has 28 Bitcoins and a hundred or so Ether, none of which were given to her by me. Her business was already doing well, but she had many worries as the pandemic took hold. Her business actually boomed as more people shopped online and, by taking profits that would otherwise have been funneled into property or other "safe" assets in Thailand, she has been able to build up a decent crypto nest egg that will be fine no matter what happens in Thailand, and whose value will increase faster, and with far less hassle, than any other assets.
That crypto nest egg gives her a feeling of confidence, security, and independence. In a grim year, her plans for the future have become more ambitious. If, as expected, Bitcoin breaks 200k this year, she will be in a position to do almost anything she wants for the rest of her life.
That is a wonderful thing and everyone, even those uninterested in crypto, should be happy that so many people have improved their options in life.
Your girlfriend is sitting on 1million gbp of bitcoins ,I would say she is sorted already time to sell.

Perhaps, but if you read the SEC filing it states that they amended their 'rules' in January 2021 and at that time purchased $1.5 Billion in Bitcoin.
It didn't say who they purchased them from, for all we know Elon could have a personal holding worth $10 Billion and just sold some of it to the company in an OTC deal, we will likely never find out either.
He could have bought last year and just mentioning that he bought them now to hype up the price ready for him to sell off at good profit

I can't believe it but when I heard this news, I immediately bought some BTC at $42k. I started buying it at $2k!
This TOTALLY changes the game, BTC is going to $54k this week and possibly over $60k. I expect 200-300k by the end of the year.
Musk hasn’t just bought these Bitcoin this week it was last year

I've had bigger bikes in the UK, more normal there and for intercity travel. In Thailand often a scooter is more practical around town, simple as that, but I appreciate due to ego people want bigger bikes
You will find people with bigger bikes also have a scooter to for 7/11 journeys,,,,,,they mostly don’t feel the need to boast they can beat Honda waves from the lights ,they also don’t need to bling there scooters up and claim there the best thing since sliced bread......
nothing to do with ego ...just using bikes what there designed for.....
i got a 10 year old 115cc scoot and a 125cc4 year old as well as couple of other bigger bikes,,,,,,am I gonna bling them up or change to a fancy led lights and digital display model.........no because I only go maximum 20 km distance on them

I’m afraid they would beat your click if the rider wanted to put some effort into it.

Thailand 17,142 tests for every death.
UK only 558 tests for every death.
You are aware on average 2000 people a day die in Thailand who knows if they have tests performed on the dead bodies ,,,,there was a lot of pneumonia deaths last year.

A Because it was a myth made up by some forum members whose own countries were being smashed by covid and the Thais outperforming them didn’t fit their narrative. If they not testing high numbers there no numbers mess around with....I think Thailand 1.2 million tests v Uk 54 million tests says it all really

That was a single confined outbreak after a year of successful testing
I would hardly call it a year off successfully testing ,more like selective testing.....in that year of testing thailand done 1.2 million tests the U.K. did 54 million.
