If you google "Thailand Covid-19 News Tracker" you can click on the first search result and see them. I'm giving the search result, because I had to click on the google results page to open the site. Just copying the address didn't work--don't know why.

DTAC is offering "Happy Tourist" SIM cards that will help track foreigners arriving from Covid-19 high-risk countries at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Phuket International Airport, Chiang Mai International Airport and Mae Fah Luang-Chiang Rai International Airport from Friday (March 13)
Yea, I can just see the tourists getting "happier" and "happier." They will keep this policy in place forever.

Basic economics
Capitalism = you get the rewards, if you take the risks, but get the loss when risk goes against you. What you seem to be saying is that you get the rewards without risks. You get your profits, but if the market tumbles, the government should be there to bail you out. Socialism for the bankers and the risk takers when their investments fail. That's your capitalism?

No plan put forward to help any on these people but they found $1.5 Trillion today to prop up the stock market. That would pay for 4-5 months of assistance to every American resident @$1,000/mo.
The peons can just suck it up and die. The bankers and one percenters must have their profits protected. Jerome is actually promising between $4 and $5 trillion for the banks, if necessary. Yellen is telling Congress to let the Fed buy stocks. In ancient Rome, the people who did these sorts of things were ritually strangled in public following their exhibition in a triumphal march through the city.

Can't believe there is no TVF topic on this, but the Fed has just dumped another $1.5 trillion in money printed out of nowhere on the markets. And the markets still puked. Marshall Trump and Deputy Jerome went swaggering down the street yesterday and thought, "We got this." And they blew their own faces off. More than a decade of QE 3 and now we get QE 4. The Fed just printing money to make sure the stocks owned by the 1 percent can get juiced again. This Fed and Trump do not care about people or public health. They only care about pumping the markets and trying to reinflate the bubble. Disaster.
Quote“The virus was the catalyst but it’s not the cause,” said Christopher Whalen, founder of Whalen Global Advisors. “Both bonds and equities were inflated rather dramatically by our friends at the Fed. You’re seeing the end game for monetary policy here, which is at a certain point you have to stop. Otherwise you get grotesque asset bubbles like we saw, and the engine just runs out of fuel.” https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/12/fed-to-pump-more-than-500-billion-into-short-term-bank-funding-expand-types-of-security-purchases.html

Fortunately, I have two phones and two phone numbers. The "official one" always stays home and never goes anywhere.

much more serious problem will be this travel ban.
many more lives will be destroyed by it.
trump know it, he knows that there is over reaction to this virus,
he knows that millions of lives will be destroyed, if you stop travel
and block economies like that. riots, violence, even world war can start
just like that, because of few months of blockage.
but he was propably pressed by his advisors and other ministers to
do so.

Surely the virus can 'attack' anyone. But it is the elderly people, usually those with other conditions, who's immune system cannot fight the attack.
You can't die from it, if you don't have it. And the stats keep showing mainly younger people infected in Thailand. At least from what I can tell. You can never be sure about anything, here.

So far in the USA during this years flu season approximately 45 million people have got the flu, 300,000 to 500,000 people required hospitalization. The CDC estimates that there have been 20,000 to 40,000 deaths in the United States so far this year. Yet everyone is going nuts over a death toll from Coronavirus that is about on par with the gun death toll in Chicago.
The Flu which is essentially what the cororavirus is kills just in the USA far more people. They can not stop that either. Yes they have a vaccine but as you can see it does nothing to stop the very large numbers. In 2018 there were 80,000 deaths in the USA from the flu. They didn't stop the public from traveling or cancel events.
Are you Donald J. Trump?

I don't see people quarantining or testing for TB yet it kills far far far more than any Coronavirus and has for decades.
People are quarantined for TB. And there is routine testing for it in certain occupations in the US. There are treatments and cures for TB. There is nothing for the coronavirus.

If he had said this about the Chinese or Russians, Xi and Putin would be raging mad by now and threatening Thailand with sanctions, embargoes, and tourism boycotts. Our embassies? Silence.
