  1. What happened to all the Schweppes Ginger ale in Thailand?? Seems no one has any in stock?? Not only do I like this as a drink, but it calms the stomach a bit when sick! Can't find any kind of grapefruit type drinks like Squirt over here either! Anyone spotting and gingerale in stock in Bangkok, please let me know!!

  2. Awesome, many thanks!

What are you looking for in particular? I think I have seen every lot in Bangkok area looking for a used 4X4 with A/T, with only a VERY FEW found, all were EXTREMLEY overpriced! Watch the area you are searhing and check auto good as the great deals I found, didn't take much to tell they were in the floodwater! Good luck in the search, as I gave up and back to looking new again, just hate haveing to wait on an order, or being told can't get in that color aor engine anymore!!!

  3. they say dried chilli powder is good,i dont now about wolf urine but we have a decendant of the wolf family[alaskan malamute] who pisses every where but it dont detere the cats, and yes it does stink :bah:

All domestic dogs are decendants of wolves.

Having personal experience with wolves hunting in Alask and Northern Canda, wolf urin is a LOT stonger than dogs! I have a husky here as a pet, and it is nowhere near the smell of a wolf! You may wan to consider one of the airsoft guns, they sting but do not give a lethal shot, as they are designed for people to shoot each other with in war games!

  4. Do you know which pharmaceutical company's testosterone you got for B1500 per injection? Right now, I cannot recall the brand of mine, but I remember is was one of the big pharma companies.

Why on earth was your doctor "shoving finger up [your] bum every month"? And, were you being injected monthly?

One 1 ml amp of Testoviron Depot (by Shering (sp???) Germany) only costs 150 or 200 baht at the outside pharmacies, 300 in the hospital. The rest from 1500 baht is doctor and nursing charges. Yes doing monthly.

And about the finger - checking the prostate.

I noticed one hospital bill shows the medication as "Nebido IM (1000 mg/4 mL) Injection," which is made by Bayer.

If your monthly Testoviron Depot is 1 ml and my once-every-three-month injection is 4ml, that could account for my relatively long injections.

Seems like online pricing for Nebido is $200 to $300 (roughly THB6000 to THB9000), so the price I'm being charged is in line with that.

I was receieving 1ML every 2 weeks by injection, and yes they used a big needle on me as well, that was in the states, and I stopped when comming here! Rid rage was a bit of a problem with me as I got irritated very easy, butit did increase my libedo! I was getting it to strengthen mussels as well as my heart, and not sure I want o mess with it again!

  5. The locals might take issue with that!, I see many working pickups with no liners in, mainly farmers trucks.

    rolleyes.gif

    Yep, rusty farmers trucks.

Yep, all 20 years plus old - Datsuns/Mazda's/Isuzu's. Amazing stuff Thai rust.

    unsure.gif

Sure is and never any water in the bed, great drainage that rust stuff. :D

At home if using a plastic liner, we removed it and"Painted" with a brush, a decent layer of grease under it! Biggest problems with plastic liners is everything slides! Need a rubber mat in the bed to keep from having to tie everything all the time

  6. Last Sunday I say 2 new Ford Rangers on the road, both white and where wildtrax, <deleted> is up with that?

Had to be 2011's as only ones in Thailand are at show(were at show), and they cam from out of country for show! 2.2 models in 4X4 A/T do not have the goodies I wanted, only available in 3.2 package, and same as you, naot waiting till end of year!!

Probably was the old ones, as I just saw them briefly as I was driving, but they had the chrome grill on the front which made them look like the new ones.

Well I don't need a 3.2, I am just driving around Bangkok and occasionally go for road trips. 2.2 will do me fine.

I would have bought a 2.2 if they had it available with the goodies that come with the 3.2! But I wanted the leather adjustable power seats, and the rear camera and sonsor with power mirror were also a big factor, as was the hill desent and hill assist for climbing, not available even as add ons! I still haven't bought anything yet and may wait till spring show, where all the freebies come out!!

  7. Last Sunday I say 2 new Ford Rangers on the road, both white and where wildtrax, <deleted> is up with that?

  8. Has anyone had a spray on bedliner added to a truck here in Thailand, something like Rhinoliner or Qwikliner?? I have not seen any over here, and heard plus"s and negatives about this. Anyone had it done or know any dealers/installers, as ready to buy soon and seems like a good way to protect bed from rust and dents!

  9. Did you look at the new Isuzu D Max 4*4 at the show? A 5000Baht returnable deposit secured a place in the queue and a longer test drive.

Yes I did, but it was like a lot of things, you have to ask what you get! Take away the snorkle, all the bike holder wheel flares, front camera, bigger wheels and tires, and ask what you get without paying extra! Bedliner is not free, nor is rustproofing,(undercoat), no insurance no film on windows, all are available as a package but pay extra! I wanted pearl white 7000THB extra, and still have to wait till apr for one! So far, only 4X4 A/T available for delivery in less than 2 months is Nissan Navara.

I was told today most dealers are not giving much as the new models not available, so no compitition! Should be a war at next big Motorshow in April with incentives! Maybe they will even have some trucks they can SELL and not just tease you with for months!

  10. Maybe try something different on them, easy to make a Jumbalya For a touch of cajun, and serve over rice! Easy to make green/yellow peppers, onion, celery, tomato's, seasoning salt, garlic, black pepper, basil, add some sausage sliced thin, white meat chicken, shrimp, and I prefer to add some lump crabmeat! A good cajun spice helps but not needed and chillis can spice it good also! Another good idea is stuffed fillets of fish, using traditional stuffing or make a stuffing with shrimp, crab or both! I also make shrimp,( peeled), sauted in butter and garlic, then add a jar of El Sapo Picante, and turn up heat to let it thicken and brown a little, serve over plain rice or better chicken flavoured rice! make some crabcakes if you want to stick with seafood a little less spicey!

Eat well my friend, and hope you, family and friends enjoy a wonderfull meal and enjoy the company!!

  11. I feel your frustrations, im commited to buying either the everest or some other new gen PPV, the time it takes for ford to get the everest out will mean a loss of sales to others like the trailblazer which will hit the market earlier. same way ford lost KBB to mazda.

that being said ive also decided i will get a new pickup truck asap, im debating whether i trade my current truck in for a 2nd hand nissan navara due to impatience or whether i go for the ford 2.2L (id rather a 3.2L but since im also going to get an everest or some ppv, i dont mind having the lower spec truck) it be nice if the ford 2.2 came with similar creature comforts like power seats etc minus just the powerplant. The problem with ford and many of these companies is noone knows anything, the ranger 3.2L could just appear in the showroom and youd know right after the sales staff themselves know

Im definately not ultra conservative but I wont buy that new bt50 if it was available tmrw as i find the styling VERY unpleasent.

I really would like to get a pickup truck asap, but definately dont fancy waiting till late april to recieve one, im not about to put a deposit down on a truck which gets pushed back, id rather show up to the dealers and pay cash and pick up that day if not within 3 days max.

Id like to know when the 2.2L or 3.2 is really going to be available, saying the 3.2 isnt available till end of 2012 is just stupidity and will push potential customers towards something else.

You read my mind, but be carefull about 2nd hand as I have been to a lot of dealers and lots cleaning up watermarks and painting and spraying underneath to hide flood damage!

  12. Has anyone heard whether the New Colorado is available yet? Tired of Haggleing with Ford over Wildtrack, and new Chevy Colorado is supposed to be almost if not same size. I may have to look into this truck Anyone got any info from a dealer or the show? I am still looking for a 4 door, 4x4, A/T, and hard to find even a decent used one in A/T without paying close to retail!

  13. Apart from Window tinting ,the Free Stuff you get with Cars is not worth a 150Bht, all in .Anyone want 20 years of Honda Rear Rubbish Bins and Dusters , and Dead Flowers.cheesy.gif.

Must admit I got window's tinted + a rear view camera, Electric Tyre pressure gauge the one that's in the car that give's you a read out on each tyre including spare every 10 second's, Tax, wheel liner's, + lot's of S/S trim. Oh and Toyota Sat/Nav. Not to bad me think's.

What dealer gave you all the goodies? One I talked to about a pickup, said he could offer nothing, wouldn't even budge on a bedliner and with a long delivery date as well!

  14. This is what I got;

    - Hkool film (I was offered any of the 3 V,H or 3M)

    - Rust protection/ Wax ever 6 months for 2 years.

    - Free white plate plus registration costs and tax.

    - Full tank of gas

    - Free service from 15,000km to 100,000km.

    - wind guard/ protector for windows and bonnet.

    - Park pilot sensors 4 zone

    - Insurance for 1 year

I originally posted my situation on Ford's Facebook page, then they asked me to email them over my receipt to; [email protected]

    Good luck!cool.gif

Thank you for the info, and sent complaint out to them as I was lierally told by the local dealers that there are no internet deals from ford and was told put a deposit, or shut up the conversation was over, after asking if he would just look at the web! If I wasn't an Expat, he would have got a fist! We test drove yesterday at show and wife is 5'2" and had no problems driving or seeing and loved the ride. We drove the white Wildtrack 3.2 4X4, and had cash in hand but woman out there said said same thing no insurance, nothing extra! Lamlukka dealer that insulted me said 3.2 not available till November 2012!!! If this doesn't pan out going back to the Isuzu/Toyota dealers, at least they know prices and delivery date!!

  15. Well it seems the email to HQ paid off.

My dealer called this morning and asked me to come.

I've just got back and he's giving me all the extras I asked for, which was everything I could think of.

I'm on the mobile so I'll post them all when I get infront of the PC. :-)

Let me know how you made out on list and how to contact them as I been getting the same runaround, and just got back from the second visit, and had money in hand for deposit, when told No insurance and can only get what I see with no delivery date or price! Whn I quoted all the promotion stuff on computer was told no, nothing given with the 3.2! I have been looking for their email address as well, but couldn't find it!

  16. I'm a Frito-Lays fan from way back...probably the early 1960's, and I can say that the Fresh Mart brand tastes real good to me. Being that I'm in Ubon, I have to travel to Korat (Nakorn Ratchasima) to get them at the Mall. At least now, Danitas brand and a new EL Sabor brand is now being stocked at Tesco. So yes, they are catching on. Now if we could just get some real Fritos, Doritos, and Tostitos, we'll be good to go...high price and all!

Villa Market in Bangkok had Doritos, Testitos, and Fitos in original and scoops, and also stocked up on Cheetos Puffs! Its a hit and miss thing, but I buy several bags when I find them! They also have the Frio Lays Japaleno cheddar cheese in the can, add El Sapo hot Picante and you have a great snack!

    ...the two 4x4's are still 2.2 L...not 3.2

I questioned it too, I was told the White WildTrack pictured was the top 4x4 model price listed, going to confirm this weekend. See pictures.

    http://www.autospinn..._resize.JPG.php

    http://www.autospinn..._resize.JPG.php

There are still no prices listed for 3.2 L's...check the TV motor forum..BTW,this one is nice..

Was quoted 1.1 million for the 3.2, A/T, 4X4 Widtrack, The price on that listing is for the 2.2 according to the printed ford sales leaflet they give you at the show! I was also quoted April as a delivery date for these in Thailand!

  18. The Ranger Wildtrack I looked at mainly was the 3.2 A/T, 4X4 . The 3.2 package is different as the seats are color coded leather and Vynal with orange stipe, 18 inch tires and wheels, Rear bumper, different style roll bar, rear camera, just plain fancier and was told delivery is for April for 3.2 and Feb for 2.2. 2.2 is cloth seats and all over not as fancy but 16" tires and wheels, and not same options at all. I was quoted 1.2 million for 3.2. The orange metalic is worth just going to see!!!

Backwoods, was it the 2.2 Wildtrak you were looking at? If yes, are you sure the seats weren't leather?

The 2.2L Wildtrak definitely has the leather/webbing chairs.. and it has 17" wheels - so maybe Backwood is comparing to the XLT?

The model I was looking at was the 3.2, had 18" wheels and tires, and the salesman I talked to at the show's name is Leenawat Rochanavilbata, I have his card in front of me, from the Nonthaburi dealer and was quoted a definate over a million and it is the 2.2 that is listed as 969000 as per the Ford printed listing in front of me! I have pics of all the wildtracks there, but can't resize them so it won't let me post pics. The one on the pedistal is the 3.2 version,(orange), and the one I was quoted on, and yes, I walked away! If someone can show me a quote for the 2012 AT, 4X4, 3.2 Wildtrack, at under a million, please relay info as I want an Orange one, but only the 3.2, otherwise I may go back to the offer at Isuzu!

  20. 20 foam boxes and you get 1 Leo.That's all what farangs understand.laugh.gif

You don't see lines of Farangs in free food lines! I live outside the city limits and see who buys the most beer, and they are not white skinned! Please keep to the subject, and try not to add to the list of remarks against the little bit of good to come out in a crisis! The only ones who complain about incentives are the one's to lazy to do something extra or exert themselves!

  21. I'd try Villa for the Twinkies. Seriously, though, I don't know how Americans survive in Thailand if they love junk food. I used to buy Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Hershley's in Carrefour but almost every American food outlet in Thailand is just a pale shade of the original. In the US you can get a foot-long Subway for just five bucks, or a double quarter-pounder from McDs, and US Dairy Queen sells completely wonderful flavors such as Butterfingers, Reese's Cookie Dough and Snickers. We should petition DQ Thailand to get it's act together.

I have ask several times for Hostess products by the case, (twinkie and cupcakes) to no avail. I have several items I have ask to order and even printed out product pics for them. Same with cans of American drinks, like Squirt. I have bought lots of stuff from several shipping companies acting as inbetween and hidden costs are ignorant! I have had lots of things shipped directly from company, but cost a fortune, and most won't do it, even by caseload

I do buy Reeses Peanut butter cups at villa, mac'n cheese, and cheese puffs, but not always on shelf when you make a trip there!

  22. Just picked up the Plavix (clopidogrel hydrogen sulfate) generic Apolets (clopidogrel bisulfate) by Berlin Pharmaceutical and what a deal. Box of 30 pills for 900 baht vs. 14 pills Plavix for 1,250-1,350 baht.

That's great to know! Somebody here mentioned the efficacy of generics can be up to only 70% compared to brand name and therefore was reluctant to substitute them. I wonder if there is some way for us to verify Berlin's Apolets are the same potency as or very very close to that of Plavix? I just had my drug emitting stents put in and the first few months of Plavix (plus aspirin) are critical.

I take 8 different meds in the eve as well as 2 during the morning and cost of all is just Over $3000THB. I was told by Cardiologist to use brand name Plavix, as some have different buffers, lisinapril I use is Lispil, motopolol tartrate is beta Lok ZOK, and simvastatin is called Zimmex.!

By the way Just had my ICD replaced At Praham 9 and insuranced was billed 620,000 THB, Bangkok Hospital quoted me 1,000,000 THB for same proceedure. I have Medicare part A&B and its useless outside of USA. Luckily I have others that will work here as a lot of Hospitals will bill insurance for you, but you must pay up front and collect from Insurance after!! If Medicare finds out you are using an alternate address you will have problems, also some meds are restricted on mailing, just be carefull!
