I ate.. Price/Performance is very bad. I can say that the only difference from the doner kebab sold at the counter is the sauce and bread. There is no need to pay 3-4 times more just for this.

Thanks. It doesn't look very appealing which is why I didn't order from them yet.

I always mispronounced it, until I saw a YT'er from Germany doing a kebab vid, and good luck finding something similar here:

This mob claim to do a Berlin-style doner kebab but I haven't tried them yet. I've not yet been to either Berlin or Turkey so I have no idea how it might compare to the "real thing".

They cut the meat off that '"thing" that goes around, don't know the name !

    It's called a doner.

    Yes.

The rest is irrelevant, they were guilty of exceeding the exact description of what was on their work permit.

The undercover aspect of people lying in wait posing as customers and waiting to pounce when a chef does something not 100% chef related, and instigating it - they were immigration police posing as customers in one place.

They didn't arrest anyone - it was only about money.

    So money = hate? Right...

But again what sparked my interest was ANOTHER story this morning I saw , a Australian man who is expecting a baby soon took off to BALI by himself and is currently in ICU in Bali after a moped accident

    Apparently insurance was refused .

Why would any insurance in their right mind provide coverage for reckless behaviour such as described above?

:D the agent simply prints out a referal letter from their lawyers firm that the bank management has obviously agreed to honor.  You do understand youre in Thailand right?  Corruption is the way most things are done and cash has always smoothed the way to get what you want.  I had a nice chuckle at your outrage over "illegal" lol

    I'm still chuckling 😂

Cos there aren't many expats owning hotels in Thailand.

Plenty of expats who work in the hotel game though, was chatting to a couple of them last night at the pub. However they tend not to frequent sites like this, too busy managing their hotels I guess.

It's a big problem with the OTA industry the price advertised is not always the price you pay, most of these sites allow the Host to add additional fee's and you as the guest are not aware until you book, To some of the major hotel groups it's what they call up selling check out some of the mad things they will charge extra for like Valet parking,

In the last 12 months Airbnb have tried to address this problem so before you book you are aware of any additional fee's not added afterwards,

The biggest problem I have seen over the year many guest do not read the full listing and what additional cost, such as cleaning fee, pet fee, electricity not included,

Totally agree… It really gets down to the ingredients…

A sliced up sausage link is NOT Italian Sausage… And Pepperoni from Macro doesn’t cut it…

A Hawaiian is usually the safest bet…

And I think we can all agree that Seafood, BBQ Chicken and Ketchup on a pizza is an abomination…

  11. You can pre-book tickes using 12goasia otherwise just hang around the airport for a while until the next bus. I did that trip two weeks ago and had to wait 90 minutes for the next bus because it was very busy.

Luckily the ticket office is right next to the cheap food court so you can get fed and watered for normal prices and not the insane numbers they're asking for upstairs.

You have to exchange cash for a plastic card to buy stuff there but they'll do it for as little as 10 baht so you can get  bottle of water without breaking the bank (vending machines upstairs want 40 baht, McDonald's want 54 baht!)

    Thanks
They sent me Google Maps links :

    Central Pattaya is https://maps.app.goo.gl/2xrc551GjkH7ddqJ6?g_st=ic

    South Pattaya is https://maps.app.goo.gl/TyoWw7zobVwhLSZu5?g_st=ic

The first stop isn't really Central Pattaya, more like North Central. If you look on Maps you'll see where it is in relation to Pattaya Neua and Pattaya Klang.

Not really a big deal unless you're walking to your hotel 😅
