1. Thai politicians make a salary of less than 100,000 thb per month.

99% of all Thai Politicians are millionaires

Do the math and ask yourself where all this money came from on a 100,000 baht salary?

Almost of them have their kids in international schools in the USA and UK which is not cheap.

The ruling class believes they are entitled to this corruption money

All the talk in the world will never change a thing because in Thailand there is no such thing as too much money

The people getting rich through corruption control the country, the laws and show me one ethical rich Thai that would ever admit they made one baht from corruption?

The committees are just another way to waste time, effort and more money

Greed and corruption are what fuel this country

    Without money you are nobody

Politicians have the power because of all the money they made with corruption

Without this money, they would never be able to hold on to their positions.

To think it will ever change is ludicris, it will get even worse as the years roll by

Even having billions of dollars has proven as not be a reason to stop

There is no limit and there never will be

  2. Check out the new Sony Bloggie which is 4900 baht in Thailand

The Bloggies does 1980 by 1020 full HD video and 4 other modes

Supports either Sony memory stick or SD card

I have made about 100 videos with the Sony and very good for Youtube or websites

I bought one at Central Power Buy

Battery seems to last forever but only recharges through PC USB

After all the videos I have no complaints at all and carry it everywhere

  3. When Thai's work abroad, they end up doing the manual labor slave jobs.

Thailand has no electrical code so that is why in Thailand you will find houses that are not grounded, wires run through open air and all kinds of crazy things you would not see in the first world

Everything Thai's need to be taught are already taught here in the numerous technical schools

What are you looking for does not exist

Your son could come over here and open his own electrical business is the only avenue I see

  4. These fakes have been around for ever

One thing you need to understand? Would an actual OEM like Kingston let people buy wholesale and sell their product on the street, or unauthorised shops? The answer is no

Beside Kingston and memory sticks, there are fake Blackberries, Sony PSP game players, IPODS, Creative Labs and anything else you can think of

If you are not buying from a reputable source like Power Buy in Central World or Siam Paragon or the Emporium or other name brand mall, you are getting a fake

    Caveat Emptor

  5. A Teachers job is to teach

To find ways to relate to the class so that they participate and learn

You are the one failing because you are not relating to the students

As a teacher first and foremost, you should understand how to research on the internet

Fear of public speaking is a concern shared by 90% of the students in the whole world

    Are you aware of this?

Are you aware of the shame and humiliation that speaking and failing in front of so many students causes?

Try relating to the students with things they relate to

Like an old game of show and tell

Show something they are interested in and have them tell you what it is in English

Iphone, blackberry, Nokia, Man U shirt, whatever,

Hold up an object, ask them to tell you what it is

Throw in some funny object like a roll of toilet paper or something to make them laugh

This will break the ice because they are starting off with something they know and not have a fear of the unknown

I am sure you can put 10 objects together and get them talking about them in no time

    Good luck

  6. If you are picked up at any time before you go to the airport you will be arrested for overstay. Fine, prison, deportation. Go to the airport with a ticket, pay the 20,000 Bt fine. Get a new visa in whichever country you go to. Remember that if you come bcak you should have a return ticket out of Thailand.

    Good luck.

Why is it posters are always threatening fine, prison, deportation for overstay?

Every single overstay case is treated as an individual case

For any farang to say fine, prison, overstay is simply cocking off without the facts

This is not communist China, this is Thailand

    Try to remember that.

Even if you have overstayed, as long as you have committed no crimes, the overstay is often dealt with just the fine and you can return back to Thailand after departing and re-entering

Those of you that keep threatening fine, prison and overstay are the same ones screaming the sky is falling

Before you cock off and say you know this and that person, for every person you claim, another million overstayed, paid the fine and are still allowed in Thailand

Spare us all your communist threatening rhetoric

  7. It takes 3,800 watts to power one 13.2 btu home air conditioner 4 hours per day

The average western style home in Thailand would need around 10,000 watts per month to operate everything including ac for 4 hours per day

Currently if off the grid the govt is buying back electricity for 8 baht per watt for the next 10 years

If owner generated a million watts a month and sold them all back 8,000,000 baht per month x 12 months = 96,000,000 x 10 years = 9,600,000,000 baht minus operating expenses

So for 350,000,000 investment this looks quite attractive

Whether it actually gets build or all the money disappears prior is all about Thailand
