Vietnam just devalued its currency
China revised their GDP downward
Thailand is in the news today borrowing US $1,000,000,000 from IMF
So what is the problem?
The problem is the govt is trying to get re-elected and in doing so artificially manipulating the baht rate to pay for some of these populist programs where they are trying to give money away like candy
Add this to the defense budget where the Army apparently has a blank check to buy all the worthless equipment in the world
Now lets see $25 billion in infrastructure damage caused by the protests
Having to borrow $1billion from the IMF
And the baht is getting stronger against the dollar
Maybe in voodoo economics but not in real life.
This is a govt action designed to help themselves get re-elected
It is impossible for the baht to be strengthening against the dollar and that is why you never see any concrete statements from the government concerning while the baht is getting stronger
Even if exports increased, which claims of 47% by the govt are absurd, they have no increased enough to offset all the money being spent on the protest repair, military or populist programs
The baht should be way above 31.26 to around 37 at this point
If the govt is in need to borrow from the IMF that tells me their figures of huge export growth and everything else they claim in the media is false
It is election time and everything will get wild from here
How about that sneaky 15% pay rise for the govt MP's, hidden in the bill somewhere that only gave the civil servants 5%
Good old Thailand, self serving the rich as always

If the way you use and write English on this forum is any indication of your teaching performance, I can see why you failed probation.
I suggest if you are planning to be employed in the teaching profession, work harder at how you are perceived by others.
Using words such as Yall are not a good indicator for an English teacher.
Not passing probation at a Government School is a clear indication of some major problems.

Does anyone know if the online course carries less weight or any issues surrounding doing the course online versus at the University?

The website says the full 120 hour course is the most recognized TEFL in Asia and states nothing about the online course?

Any teachers have any experience if the online course is enough to get a teaching job in Thailand?

Over the years there are 100's of stories of farangs making the payment to the Thai, the Thai never pay the bank and the farang gets the boot and the shaft
Save yourself the aggrevation
If you cannot buy it outright, then steer clear

There is no magic bullet for purchasing a second hand car in Thailand.
1. If there is a way to rip you off, it will happen in Thailand used cars
2. Good used cars worth their salt are almost as expensive as new cars
3. Blue book a must
4. There is no inspection system in Thailand so Caveat Emptor "Buyer Beware"
5. If you are not a mechanic and have never been around cars, it is too late for you to learn the 100's of things used car dealers can do to scam you
6. Appearance of the car is not everything, it is in fact the easiest to upkeep, so just because the outside looks brand new means nothing
7. There are some really cheap new cars you might want to consider instead of a used car
Any idea of your budget? That could really determine what kind of clunker you will get and how much effort a professional mechanic would have to expend to do a thorough inspection
Most of the used cars I have ever looked at seem to have extremely high mileage as well, meaning component failure is not far off
Good luck

It is hypocritical that after he has made his riches be comes out and bangs the everyone should respect the law drum. The problem is these politicians are so deep into their mansions and mercedes, they have no other choice but to keep going. WIthout money there is no power, so the never ending quest to make as much money as possible, anyway possible will always overrule any moral conscious in this country.

I buy all my Wii stuff in Min Buri, 15 minutes from Suvarnabhumi, in the Fashion Island Mall top floor game store called Subu or something like that. They sell Wii consoles, XBOX, PS3 and anything you could ever need to go with them. I have purchased 3 consoles there, never had a problem and over 250 Wii games and 200 PS2 games. They have consoles for USA market, Japan and Thailand. This is a large store in the mall not a kiosk or overnight venture.

In fact, the engine even felt smoother – had they changed the oil? Felt like it, smoother
Maybe it is best if you leave the mechancing to people that actual know what they are doing.

Another lawyer that has never lived in Thailand, but became an overnight expert on all things Thai.

Similar to Pak Chong where over 5,000,000 bats leave a cave every evening before sunset, form a giant formation and fly off

Sorry the BIB actually have 80 helicopters and the police department has a complete airwing with fixed wing aircraft and helicopters
That is the true fact

At any electronics shop in Thailand you can buy a 110 to 220 converter for less than $10 so no need to worry if it is only 110 vac. All the stuff I brought from USA that was 110VAC is still working on converters here years later.

The issue is whose name is the company in at the Bank? Only that person or persons will have access to the money. The other director can have a new stamp made no problem. The big issue is who ever is authorized at the bank has the power of accessing ALL the money and this is very dangerous.

For every foreign work permit the Thai company has to hire 2 additional Tthai people. The work permit itself costs allot of money and the company also has to show 2,000,000 thb in capital for each foreign work permit it issues. That is why companies will not hire foreigners unless they have some very special skill because it cost the company so much money. From Croatia he cannot teach English. I really have no idea what job he can do but my honest feeling is he cannot get a legal job with a work permit. The economy is very bad here

There is a list a mile long of jobs foreigners cannot do because it is against the law here in Thailand to do any job a Thai can do. Being a native English speaker is about the only job. Starting his own business is an option. To just show up in Thailand and think he will find a job is almost impossible unless he has some world class skill no one else has. Without world class skill or native English speaker from USA, UK, he won't get a job period

Not even one full day. A good half of a day, 4 hours should be plenty

I was just passing Central World an hour ago.
You can still smell the charred remnants of the horrible fire there and damage is still visible

If it was raised several months ago, why you are you just responding now?

Sure right after a giant class action lawsuit was just filed in California USA yesterday against Apple and IPAD claiming that after 10 minutes outside the IPAD shuts off due to over temping.
