Do dogs lick guest's penises after dinner in your country?
No, but in the U.K. I have witnessed many things that I would not have thought possible anywhere else in the world.

I beg to differ with you, respectfully. Many of the most talented and intelligent people who have ever lived have suffered with psychological issues and substance abuse problems. Stupid people don't think enough to make themselves depressed.
One of our most talented writers in Dutch died just the other day. It was the more amazing, because he came to the Netherlands as a young boy of 7 yrs old from Morocco. He died at 51 from liver failure, being an incorrigible alcoholic and drug user all his adult life. He left behind some wonderful literature. Depression and euphoria are 2 sides of the same coin. Better to have burned brightly....

Have you heard the joke:
A young man goes to eat dinner with his girlfriend's parents. After dinner, the family dog is licking his penis in full view of everyone. The awkward young man say "gee, I wish I could do that", and the girlfriend's mother says "give him a biscuit and he will let you".
Ah, the wonderful English language. I understood it initially as the family dog licking the young mans penis, in full view. So the girlfriends mother says: give him a biscuit, and he will let you lick your own penis. Why , is the dog jealous? Because you see, some men can.

I think stupid people are generally happier with life than intelligent people.
I beg to differ. To feel in control of your own life is infinitely more rewarding that simply living out the deal you've been given. Then again, one has to be intelligent enough to understand this. On a sidenote: Anyone who is dead, may suffer into eternity. we simply do not know, and it would be absurd to state with any certainty that with death, all ends for the individual involved. How do you know?

Hmmm I really wonder about how badly Thais are into debt right now. Back home when there is an economical crisis the first indicator that things aren't going so well is I can see cars going up for sale at a decent price... and the housing market sees a sudden boom in available hoses and it becomes a buyer's market. Here... nothing works as predicted and I guess that if things weren't going well and there would be a boom in housing and cars for sale that the prices would actually go up rather than down...
Been here nearly 2o years and it still is a mystery the way Thais think...
Go figure...????
Houses and cars are usually at the disposal of an extended family, i.e. 7,8 people depend on that transport, maybe 15 on a roof over their heads. Not something to give up lightly.

Italy, and Spain, are certainly looking for very big financial help. Conte came across as saying that was the price of "unity". Some member states are wary, and given the political turmoil and corruption that's always rife within Italy, that's undestandable.
However, the Italians have a point in that when the <deleted> hit the fan, it seemed very much a case of every member for himself! Requests for medical and supplies help were ignored, apart from China and Russia.
If the EU was a federal state, with central budgets, controls, and a central ruling body, then a central response would've been applied. But it's not. Nor is it a free market association of members who are sovereign states. It's a little bit more than just an association but not a federation. So neither one nor the other. Which means arguments, slow responses, and not any happy.
Great future.
Utterly untrue. When the <deleted> hit the fan, other European states stepped in, mainly Germany donated a LOT more that russia and china. It was just in Italy's interest to state that, so as to have a stronger position when they went begging (again). There is no need for a " central response", other than an EEG alliance between states to help each other in times of need. Look at the reaction at the Greek/turkish border. Many European countries stepped up to the task of keeping the Hun out.
Let Italy go back to the Lira, devaluate and do it's thing. They can come calling again in 25 years, when they have learned some discipline (haha).

I think covid-19 + immigrant swarms has shown how not united Europe is. Could take a few years, but the EU is going to be a lot smaller.
Is it not amazing how suddenly the migrant problem has gone POOF (Italy says NO for the next 5 months, in the Netherlands only 150 migrants wandered in in the last 6 weeks as opposed to a regular 900 per month), the air is breathable and even my city Amsterdam is wonderful again without too much traffic, and zero tourists!! Islamic invaders were repelled at the Greek borders, as they should be.
I could not be more happy. Do let borders exist between countries, do let world tourist travel be a thing of the past. I feel I can finally breathe freely again.

The nations within the EU have an opportunity to see what happens when a country leaves the bloc by watching what happens to the UK.
I think most of them will decide remaining within the EU is a good idea.
I think Britain will think differently in 50 years. It will still be Britain. The rest of the EU will be a pawn to the overlords in Brussels.

In case you have not heard: there is a little virus out to kill you.
Yes, you, amongst others.

In the Netherlands they found the corona virus in the sewage system, even after the first treatment. Kak, apparently, is full of it. People are discouraged to touch, or swim in open water near "the rear end" of water treating systems. So don't tell me a dead body is not swarming with it.
Mind you, a thorough soaping and a bodybag, soaped again might do the trick...

So why not buy vietnamese rice? Cheaper, and quite delicious. Maybe Thailand should stop trying to be a rice-producing country with their outdated ways of growing it and increasing droughts.
They should focus on other produce, but please, please, not all of them the same crop at the same time....

n95 offers very good protection against this virus as long as it is properly fitted. Stop spreading nonsense misinformation.
N95 does NOT protect against the corona virus, which is only .14 micron in diameter. N95 protects to parts with a width of .3 micron.
Please stop spreading nonsense reassurance.

Thoroughly useless to begin with since it offers scant protection against the virus. The one thing that may help: rubber gloves, to be changed frequently and NEVER EVER touch you own face without scrubbing up before you do so.. Put some ink on your hands and you'd be amazed at how your face looks end of day...
Oh, and do remove your gloves before scrubbing up, there's a good boy.

That is Koh Nangyouan, and you cannot live there, but you can rent a honeymoon bungalow for a couple of nights. Koh Nangyouan is a privately owned marine park.
Apart from that, I can show you 10.000 pictures from other places in the world that are not as crowded, over-rated, over-priced and down-right dangerous.

Farangs are literally dying to go to Koh Tao.
Don't understand the island mentality.
You're literally stuck there going around in circles.
The local women are ugly (inbreeding).
Everything is imported and costs more.
Everything is inferior except the beaches and air quality.
Nice place to visit, but...
Not nearly as good as Koh Kood, in my opinion.

Unless your wife's family name rings true with the local mafia you are signing your own death warrant. I know an owner there.

The original stiff passports were a very dark blue which might perhaps be remembered as black now
Actually, Britain was completely allowed to persist in having the very dark blue passports under EU regulations, but it OPTED for the Burgundy - joining the community, it was a lot cheaper and all that. So it was Britain's own choice to go with the colour Burgundy.
Now they have the original colour restored, but the passport is printed in Poland, and was designed in the Netherlands.

From Trat there are mini busses going to the border at Hat Lek several times a day. Takes about an hour, hour and a half tops. Thai immigration always polite if not friendly, on the Cambodian side be prepared to pay 1600 baht for visa and same day return. There are, also, of course, the regular number of touts. 100 baht for that, no more, if you want to go that way.
Last year they also still had the "check for fever scheme", just drop 20 baht to avoid discussions.
Upon return to Thailand there are usually mini buses waiting to take you back to Trat.

Looks like they're finally realizing what the UK brought to the table and what they're losing. Maybe they should have taken Cameron a bit more seriously what he asked for an improved deal. What was it Farage said? "You're not laughing now, are you".
Prepare for some serious in-fighting as the EU member states squabble about who pays for the shortfall. They will simultaneously try to punish the UK for leaving the undemocratic protectionist racket. Thank God we're out. Thank God.
10 billion over a period of 7 years is a mere pittance in the scheme of things. The megalomaniacal "Green plan" by vice-president Ting-tong Timmermans calls for an investment of a 1000 billion, thank you very much. The shortfall is (and has been already) easily covered. It's the extra money the EU wants for expansion that the squabble is about. President "Loony" Michel thinks he can fill the void between his dreams and the actual EU income with taxes (plastic, data, etc.) that he has no mandate for to even come up with, let alone execute..
All WE in Northern-Europe want, is that now, finally, our borders will be protected against uninvited guests. Nothing else matters. The social fabric thanks to the influx of migrants is being destroyed at a pace nobody can keep up with. Costing the Netherlands a cool 7,2 billion a year, for instance.
For this border protection scheme , however, only very little money has been allocated thus far. Consequently, a firm swing to the right politically is in the offing across the whole of Europe.

I could, but I would probably be banned from this site. And I worked hard at my good standing here!
OK: here is one: Moored to the quay in Falmouth I was extensively, but I mean extensively, questioned by Customs and Excise about bringing any soft drugs in to the country, what with me coming from Amsterdam. When I gently pointed out that not 20 meters away from us people were enjoying some good grade dope outside the cafe they retorted that this had nothing to do with it.
I was then subjected to a 5 hour search, including a diver!
On another occasion I saw a guy being chased out of a pub by someone twice his size, who then proceeded beating him to pulp - I am talking boots stamped in face - with 20 onlookers doing exactly nothing. My girlfriends saved me by hanging on to me , physically stopping me from interfering.
I can go on and on, things that would NOT happen in the Netherlands.
