  1. Think they put the price up a few weeks back and you must pay in advance of departure for a compulsory met at the airport whisked off to an awful without any choice hotel for quarantine 10 days then dumped back at the airport. Even though the vaccine roll out is happening they have made this change, clearly they know that the slightly declining official covid numbers are obviously fudged and part of the Juntas denial and delusion package and the new Thailand moves on into the abyss program.
  2. Try this site its how many of us have already received a vaccine. ThailandIntervac.com : The Office of International Cooperation, Department of Disease Control ,Ministry of Public Health Thailand Click on the Bangkok Hospital Pattaya link and follow through with the next buttons until you reach registration etc .....no visa photos nonsense to upload, was working well a few days ago. You definitely qualify by age alone a priority. Good luck
  3. As mentioned the Roche Swiss made test kits are available at pharmacies for around 1500 baht for 5. They come with very clear instructions in English.
  4. Minimal testing and manipulated figures bearing no resemblance to reality as the Doctor said. The Junta revert to default setting and enter another period of denial and delusion similar to the initial year of the pandemic. The rugs back in place brooms at the ready!
  5. Probably is but you can buy the Swiss made Roche kits, Thailand received a million or so free from the Swiss government....... couldnt possibly be the same kits though that are on sale at pharmacies for circa 300/400 baht each.
  6. Pattaya reopening delayed to October as slow vaccine rollout stalls progress Err could it be a worldwide pandemic that the junta chose to mainly ignore for a year has in fact stopped the opening as any sane person would expect. Why this ludicrous assumption that Thailand wont be effected and will receive exemption from Covid because of its dependency on the tourist industry. Vaccinate the whole population with a decent vaccine and provide adequate medical facilities for all then rebuild tourism.
  7. 97% of ministerial statements released by the Junta bear scant resemblance to reality.
  8. Antigen tests will be encouraged and PCR tests made very difficult to obtain, the antigen positives wont be included in daily figures ..... which will decline and Pinocchio will declare himself the master of Thailands amazing Covid recovery and the doors will be thrown open to all in October.!
  9. Only a few years ago they were interrogating visitors at the airport, people locked in holding cells, denied entry forced to buy a ticket out of the kingdom...........all because they wanted to come and enjoy the country and spend their money ..... but they werent genuine enough visitors for the discerning immigration officers.
  10. Thailand had a policy of sweep it under the rug for a year. Dont test dont have! pure genius! Im sure world leaders were phoning Pinocchio to find the secret of Thailands apparent exemption from the world wide pandemic.
  11. The original article and the various other accounts just confirm my utter disgust and loathing of the Junta jerks. It fully justifies vitriolic outbursts towards these disgraceful megalomaniac lunatics who are much more concerned about sandboxes and the further enrichment of a few than the lives of the common people.
  12. A great poster image! would be great to see this mass produced and distributed to all hospitals!
  13. I would imagine Prayut is keeping a very close watch on developments from a very safe distance. With bullets flying about you never know when one may find a truly deserving recipient.
  14. I had the same , just press reply and in the email body that comes up you can type the details on the exact lines for birth, nationality and address and then press send.
  15. He should be expressing his concerns about the numbers of deaths and the general welfare of the people of Thailand ,,,,,,, but that really would be fake news!
  16. Two weeks ago they announced they had received nearly 2 million antigen test kits made by Roche as a free donation from Switzerland. Guess these are the ones now on sale at 350 baht each in our local pharmacies.!
  17. Thanks! they have recently changed the requirements, but guess a photo of a negative home antigen test kit result still wouldnt pass.
  18. Dont they still require a negative PCR test circa 3000 baht with certificate before flying? Cheaper test would be hospital or home kit antigen 350 baht, is their another test ?
  19. He needs a negative test and to fill out a passenger locator form on the brit government website showing two pre booked and paid for day 2 and day 8 tests of his return, he books and pays for those online before departure gets a reference number applies it to passenger locator form along with his address in Uk for self quarantine 10 days. Red, amber and green list rules for entering England - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Thailand is an amber list country all info in link above website To clarify yes a negative PCR covid test cerificate required at check in and the passenger locator form booking reference number for the two tests in the Uk day 2 and day 8 and the receipt for tests if possible, although havng the reference number from the booking is the only official requirement along with negative covid test certificate. Good luck
  20. I think i read on a previous thread not long ago that their was still one bus a day from Cnx to Bkk. Might be worth enquiring, could be a great saving.
  21. Presume it didnt actually ask you to turn up at 10 am.? Mine was the same pop up box advised was registered but no time slot choice accepted, will wait for email or phone them.
  22. Exactly, if they tested 10k arriving tourists and 10k local residents the latter group would have a much higher positive covid test percentage.
  23. TAT also the ministry of sanitation with a daily effluence of complete sh#te!
