  1. Why does Asean Now insult the readership with this utter boll@cks ? However this could be said of 75% of the statements released daily from various ministerial or tourist departments.
  2. For eye candy go to the Charoen chain of opticians but for a comprehensive check and prescription definitely the eye dept at major hospitals in your area. With good advice and prescription in hand you can then compare prices across the spectrum from village markets to swanky shops in malls to online suppliers.
  3. Why are the antigen 1630 positive tests not included in the daily reported figures in this headline by webfact, are they not considered relevant by asean now reporting standards.? The actual figures released total is 16,185.
  4. What do they expect Covid is rife throughout the population nationwide, Thailand doesnt have some magical exemption from the pandemic by installing temp machines at 7/11 and wearing masks. A ludicrously miniscule testing program and an initially pedestrian vaccination rollout leaves Thailand trailing in the Covid stakes but the Junta prefer to ignore reality in favor of keeping their heads in the trough.
  5. Spot on and weve had a year and a half of this pandemic policy of delusion and illusion.
  6. Lower the PCR tests and encourage Antigen testing as the norm and dont include the latter positives in the daily press releases. Almost as brilliant as the no test no have policy of the first year. Amazing Thailand land of double Ds! ........Denial and Delusion.
  7. Thais are at more risk of covid from their fellow untested Thais in the local 7/11 than from a tourist.
  8. Indeed if you really think it through until the full vaccine program is rolled out for all people visitors really shouldnt be making Thailand a destination of choice to much risk to many changing rules and entertainment venues not opening with normal facilities risk of a fine having beer with your supper utter minefield that needs clearing before any opening.
  9. Wow thats an extortionate price 8k, most private hospitals do it for 3,5 k and still make a fat profit, they really have been gouging the cherished visitors.
  10. Tourists who have had a pre flight covid test and double vaccinated should be free to travel as they please and eat drink as where and when is convenient. The Thais who have been subjected only to Sinovac and limited testing should be having mandatory weekly covid pcr tests and be fully mrna vaccinated if they work in the hotel, food and beverage or travel and bonking industries.
  11. Thailand also announced a while back their was no prostitution in Pattaya, just very friendly tour guides.
  12. To fly from Udon or khonKaen to BKK on a one way single trip at the moment do you need to provide any documentation proof of vaccine or neg covid test. Are the app restrictions actually in force at the moment or just pending?
  13. Todays figures for antigen 783 positives, one huge drop from yesterdays 6,346 figure. This is amazing Thailand so any numbers are possible, especially with Pinocchio at the helm.
  14. Delusion is more rampant than Covid, werent todays cases 12,500 pcr and 6,400 antigen positves. Thats a daily total of circa 19k, not including any possible number of home tests not reported.
  15. This is false reporting if the 6,346 antigen positive tests are not included in the figure. If they test mostly with antigen and lower the pcr tests rates and fail to include antigen in daily total figures then for sure a rapid decline will be projected and not a reflection of reality....just as the Junta ordered. A cunning plan Baldrick.
  16. Thanks. have chance due to admin crossed wires to switch to the Pfizer vaccine but first dose would be just three weeks after the Astra Zeneca first jab already administered so a tad undecided.
  17. How many weeks after first jab of Astra Zeneca did you get the first Pfizer ? Thanks
  18. For a few weeks its been around 42k tested a day with circa 14k positive circa 30% positive ratio! Now last couple of days they are not publishing the miniscule amount tested but instead choose to publish the positive ratio which by coincidence has dropped to 18% ..... the magic of Thailand!
  19. So I need to take a look at the study, but Im presuming no particular extra adverse side effects to be expected from just 3 weeks between the jabs.?
  20. Thanks, Think the Thai gov are advocating mix n match Astra Zeneca and Pfizer but maybe not with only three weeks between. Interested in the medical complications or side effects if any? of only 3 weeks between a first shot of Astra Zeneca followed by a shot of Pfizer 3 weeks later, maybe not advisable or perfectly ok? Is there a doctor in the house?
  21. So for those of us having had just the first jab of AZ for which you dont get a certificate and now waiting the 2 months for the second jab when you do get the certificate, we cant fly domestically in that waiting period, and if we dont have the Morprobs app etc etc we cant fly anyway... ludicrous.
  22. Various studies online have said the mix and match combination is ok. However if you had a first shot of Astra Zeneca and then due to admin glitches were offered a firm appointment for Pfizer exactly 3 weeks later as a second jab. Would this short period of just three weeks between the two shots be hazardous or medically risky although offering excellent protection against Covid.?
  23. Nothing to see here! Pinocchio has already told us Covid is totally under control and in decline, open the country up send the kids back to school. Phuket sandbox excellent with not that many dead and only one tourist was murdered recently and just a few hundred new covid cases a day........ At least 10% of the population fully vaccinated with a Chinese world class vaccine and only a 35% positive daily test rate so whats not to like?
  24. No I think many temples are in need of a refurbishment and the airforce and navy always need subs and new aircraft plus their has to be plenty in the pot for the annual allowances etc, so not much available for the people.
