.... Nuts are worse than sweets or crisps.
Very true, most nuts have a high fat content and if salted, water retention.
Give intermittent fasting a try,

Well a sense of humor is definitely not missing in your life,
love your "swimming pool and pool house", ????

I have to admit, many times I feel like letting myself go, eating whatever, not exercising, etc, when I do the effects are immediate.
If you want to know how long you're probably going to live,
how long your mother or father lived, and their parents,
will be a fair indicator how long you'll might live, negative life styles not with standing.
Genetics play a big part, but I admit sometimes you just have to treat yourself,
There's existing and there's living.

Like many have suggested,
It may be prudent to spend a little time at both locales and
get a feel for the place first hand.
Some issues like traffic, noise, the general vibe, etc, will quickly be apparent.
Good luck,

Amazing,
... called taeniasis. And if you've got it, you've likely experiencing nausea, a loss of appetite and abdominal pain...

Starbucks has to be the worst coffee in Thailand, if not the world. I enjoy Coffee World. Amazon is not bad either. But I think Segafredo is the best for espresso.
Many would agree, the coffee is not that great.
But I think SB's success is they've developed a model where it's the coffee drinking environment that has become appealing.
AC, wi-fi, clean bathrooms, and consistency of product and physical lay-out.
And a price-point that keeps out riff-raff ????

The problem isn't so much dated hardware as software,
newer OS's probably can't be installed do to hardware incompatibility,
The older OS probably isn't supported anymore, but the machine can still be used simply for browsing or simple word doc applications, storage for old media, or as a dedicated machine for a particular legacy program you still use.

Good luck with this as generally alot of it is watered down copies.
You cant even be guided by price either as the rubbish is sold iat high prices sometimes too, to fool the unsuspecting.
Very true,

And to think the ISS is only 250 miles up,
a very low orbit but high enough to see large swathes of the earth's surface, -
Unfortunately insurance is one of those things which indirectly provide no tangible benefit, albeit peace of mind.
It's a gambling game on both sides.
IMHO health care in Thailand is still very reasonable compared to the west and usually of satisfactory quality.
Saying you're uninsurable at a certain age is a bit of a misnomer. There is always some entity that will insure you, but the price will reflect the risk, and may be beyond what one can pay.
Hence when saving for retirement, keep in mind medical coverage, knowing it will take up a large portion of your budget.

Being in unbearable pain (physical or mentally) at the end, with no possibility to humanely end it.
Always options,
Most Physicians can formulate a pain management plan to alleviate needless suffering, even in LOS.
Denmark has some of the more enlightened and progressive policies for end of life options, as well as Oregon and Washington in the US.
I think you'll find you'll will be able to be quite comfortably numb when the time comes and in pleasant surroundings,
albiet as much as your monitory situation will permit.Try not to dwell on it, will can only control so much,.

Agree,
You want to be careful with too much weight doing squats if you have knee issues.

Yeap, when I came to my father with some problem, he'd cut me off before I finished and would just say,

I think we'll get there, already survival rates have dramatically increased.
In the fifties and sixties, Polio was ravaging kids, there wasn't a neighborhood where you didn't see one without a metal leg brace or other.
If you developed cataracts as most eventually will,
you were consigned to blindness, now it's a 30 minute office procedure.
The big question is can health costs come down to a point where anybody can afford treatments or procedures.

Kudos SpaceX on nailing latest attempt.
This is right out of a B Sci-Fi movie ("The Day the Earth Stood Still", etc),
As soon as they find some reason that $$ can be made outside this planet it'll be another wave of gold rushes,
Think about what prospectors endured during the Klondike rush in Alaska ????

The average life expectancy at age 65, in the US, is 89.
Do not confuse life expectancy at birth with life expectancy at later ages.
That's an interesting correlation and makes sense,
as advances in medicine and other are extending life expectancy,

Exactly, nicely said,
Once you've managed a revenue stream(s) where the basics have been covered,
the rest can be allocated to anything that makes one's life more comfortable or convenient.
You can spend your money or be the richest person in the cemetery, each to their own.

Junk surveys can be created by anyone to promote anything.
Did it mention traffic, road fatality rates, corruption, no, but take-away food options was included which has always been a litmus test for a great city ????

Yes, providing shorts cover the knees and tee's do not have any offensive logos or Buddhist images, but a collared shirt is the preferred and of course you probably know shoes off.

Can't Lose Weight
in I'm Too Fat Forum

Keto and intermittent fasting,
These are proven ways to keep weight off and in some instances very quickly.
There's a ton of info if you research, but I won't lie, initially you will be rather cranky with a sudden drop in blood sugar and eventual lowering of metabolic rate, ie, you're body thinks it's starving and makes adjustments.
As posters have mentioned, Keto is one form of daily fasting where you simply don't eat anything for a certain period, (18 to 22 hours), blood sugar has long since been depleted so your body goes into a state of ketosis, where its now forced to convert body fat to sugar for energy.
Many can tolerate this form of fasting fairly easily.
Next is whole day fasting, many different schedules, some feel positive health benefits quickly and make this a life-style.
Popular is the two and one, normal eating for two days, nothing on the third,
if tolerating without too much issue, increase fasting days.
I tend to cycle weight, very heavy in winter, normal in summer,
I start of with a knock-down schedule of fasting. Nothing to eat for three or four days.
A large weight loss happens quickly, (albeit a lot will be water weight).
Regardless, you start to look and feel better immediately which motivates you to continue your intermittent fasting schedule.
Once getting near your target, revert to a healthy eating regime, albeit with reduced cals for maint.
