  1. looking at rotor sizes for the ninja 250-300 and the ninja 650, they are the same size, maybe the rotor from the ninja 250 would be cheaper than the 650? if the bolt holes and thickness match ?

Honda does this with interchangeable parts between the cbr 150 and 250, with 250 parts prices being substantially higher than 150 parts.

the thai word for milling shop is : โรงกลึง พัทยา- pattaya

  2. if honey comes from bees that are kept in fixed location boxes (or even if the boxes are moved now and then)... to me it is not "wild". Wild honey is the stuff that comes from naturally occurring large bee hives in the jungle, not on a "farm" of any kind. We have thai friends here who are born and raised locals and they tell us this type of honey is typically only harvested once or twice a year... so we wait until that time and buy a bunch.

Try knocking the box over, or even just liftinf off the lid at the wrong time-of-day or when wearing the wrong clothes, and you'll find that they can still get pretty wild !

I recommend the honey from Forabee, about 10 km South towards Lamphun, on the LHS of the highway to Lampang.

Personally I always thought the taste of the honey came from where they get the pollen not where they live.

This thread is better than a hamburger or pizza one.

Who would have thought there was so many pure honey lovers in Chiang Mai. Some willing to travel a distance to get it.

I considered using it but with my diabetes I decided against it. I went on the internet and it was about 50 50 on weather it was good for me or not. I had even heard one claim where a fellow was getting better in his hip that needed replacing.

my family has a history of diabetes, when i drink a full can of coke, things start to get cloudy and lethargic.

now i mix my own drinks, that are just as sweet as a coke would be and dont get any of those effects any longer.

the cheapest honey at central festival on the bottom shelf is mixed with some other kind of sweetener for sure, makes me blurry and lethargic.

  3. Chears guys im very grateful for the good advice i receive here. KRS1 , hope the "dirty" bike has its head/valves fixed up soon , keep us up-to-date. Can i ask where these 3 shops are - i have a good knowledge of CM by now -thanks.

Saengchai and burning on kaew nawarat, close to the bridge

CNX moto on nong hoi outbound, go under bridge and keep looking right.

  4. sonax is the worst man, it heats up like you said and contributes to chain stretch.

up here in cnx shops are finally starting to carry chain wax.

Yes Sonax is about the worst you can get. The Belray works well & does what it says it will but it left some nice goobers in our carport. The little woman told me to come out the bike was leaking & it was all the excess from the Belray that slung all over the kickstand & onto various other parts. The wax lube I found does the same job without any or next to none oil slingage.

Did you get your valve shim worked out or still working on getting the new work they did right?

i bought a new bike wink.png old bike is still sitting there, its like shes been handled by another man, got hoed out and dirty...cant bring myself to touch her again just yet.

new bike: redoing modifications with gas tank propped up, friend walks by and knocks the tank off while texting his girl on LINE (dumbass), tank falls and is saved by high pressure fuel line, connector at fuel pump snaps off, have to buy order entire new fuel pump 3000 baht. I think he's bad luck.

apart from wax and dedicated chain lube, the best alternative ive found is Kemex teflon spray. i tried the bosny stuff, but it left crud.

Boy that really sucks insult upon injury! At least you got a new ride to console the lamenting of the old one. I hate the thought of having anyone do major work here in LOS. Their idea of training is way less than in the west where if you don't pass all the practical portions you never make it to a technician.

    salt in the wound man....

ive only taken my bikes to the dealer for repair twice in my life, got screwed both times. Sometimes its good to not know too much.

  5. "total damage from corruption amounted to over 450 billion baht, or equivalent to 60% of total sum used for the rice-pledging scheme."

I'm no fan of the scheme and am sure there was a lot of corruption, but surely not 60%. That's insane, no one could be stupid enough to think they could get away with that level of criminality.

    not stupid...arrogant

    rice = untraceable commodity

i bought a new bike ;) old bike is still sitting there, its like shes been handled by another man, got hoed out and dirty...cant bring myself to touch her again just yet.

  7. The downpipe also has a catalytic convertor inside it, you can bore it out...or just get the entire KRK set up....but you have to get the welds reinforced by arc welding the last few curves by the muffler.

If you are going to drill anything id start by boring out the cat from the downpipe....Throw a NGK CR9EGP in there too, it has a stronger spark and aids in high RPM combustion...air screw 2.75 - 3.25 turns out, stock comes in at around 1.5-2 turns

@krs1 your old topic has been archived. just wondering how the altering of the carburation turned out, any (mayor) improvement while using a bigger carbie?

do you still provide the service for modifying carby cbr's?

the carb is not the most crucial element, the other things are ;)

sorry, i dont do mods for people anymore.....people keep trying to pay me in beer.

  8. I just got back from the motor show. They had a lean simulator. attachicon.gifImageUploadedByThaivisa Connect Thailand1396344216.033997.jpg

I couldn't help but make a Marc Marquez impersonation!! Lol

The 300 is growing on me just a tad bit. The more I looked at it the more I liked the few changes. By the way CBR 150 will be the same.

Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand

    haha. nice blackpanda.

cbr300r is looking cool for sure.

I will be at Motor show this Saturday. i know it will be a lot crowded as last days of the show.

    But i like motor shows!

make sure you go to the car audio area outside at night for some coyote action ;)

  9. some muffler shops modify the muffler by taking out the baffles and running a straight tube through, about an inch in diameter - much too big for this bike. The tsukigi KRK is a baffled muffler, but the first baffle is about a centimeter closer to the downpipe inlet at the mouth of the muffler.

There is also a specially designed ring at the muffler inlet that has a series of holes drilled in it.

The downpipe also has a catalytic convertor inside it, you can bore it out...or just get the entire KRK set up....but you have to get the welds reinforced by arc welding the last few curves by the muffler.

  10. like papa al says, check to see if they are the original sprockets. OEM sizes are 15/44....no other combination works as good all around - i tried them all.

14/44 is good in the city, but on the highway youll lose quite a bit of top end.

Also the exhaust on the carb cbr 150 can not be too large....the only exhaust i know for a fact that will add performance is the Tsukigi KRK set up, there are probably others, but i know this one for sure.

  11. This looks like a perfect trap for FRUIT FLYS but not at all for mosquitos. While fruit flys cannot resist the sugar and yeast ... and can smell them from very large distances ... mosquitos are attracted to the smell of warm blooded animals and are not at all interested in sugar and yeast.

mosquitoes are drawn to carbon dioxide from breathing mammals.

the sugar and yeast creates that.

  12. How do I determine my size for Dainese jackets? Is there a formula where I plug in my chest size, etc, to convert to the European size?

ah yes, i forgot to figure in for the back protector as rubberside said

my chest measured at the nips is 40 inches with regular breathing...size 52 in dainese mesh is borderline too snug with a back protector, 54 would be optimal for me.

they are also a little tighter around the gut than other brands, and slightly shorter...if you have a beer gut, might want to take this into consideration. ) sparetire will pop out - not sexy !)

for bkk id go for mesh since its so humid down there, but up here in cnx perforated leather is doable do to less traffic and more open roads. The weight of leather to mesh is literally 3-4 times heaver. In traffic i think the weight will contribute to fatigue.

all Komine jackets come with back protectors, and some also come with frontal protection. Got mine for 4900 baht vs 7000 baht for the Dainese. Whatever you get, make sure you sit on your bike when your trying it on. I absolutely hate throat stabbing. The Dainese air 3 was to snug around the neck for my liking.

Another option id love to try is the Revit Ignition 2 combination mesh and leather , but i cant wrap my head around 15000 baht for a city jacket.

my Komine (looks better in real life):

edit: btw, dont worry too much about a zip in liner, you can get a thin polyester windbreaker for around 200-300 baht to wear underneath, thats what i do.

    komine.jpg

    spd_2012052613447_b.jpg

  13. was in the same situation months ago after losing weight.

decided to try a Komine mesh (authentic not fake) this time, i like it...probably good for one time, its nice and lightweight...it was either that or a dainese air 3, the dainese had shoulder protectors you couldnt tell were there, very nice fit. But didnt flow as much air in the arms. The Komine had velcro adjustment straps for the elbow protection area. The dainese is tighter in the arms.

ive tried a few jackets and finding one that doesnt stab me in the throat is kinda hard to find.

if it helps im a large in Shift Leather....52 in Dainese mesh and XL in Komine mesh.

That a-star looks like its a throat stabber. There are fake Dainese air-3 floating around, you can tell by the buttons, dainese will be written larger than the authentic stuff.

  14. "worse pizza in cnx, like a giant cracker with a half empty ketchup packet smeared on it and only a few strands of cheese. Awful. "

I have to say, you have obviously no clue about pizza. Perhaps you are used to Amercian Pizza like from Hut Pizza - that can be nice too, but at "Why not" you get original italian pizza, a lot of the stuff even handmade. As well the idea there is that you decide your topping yourself, your fault if you are cheap and only choose tomatoes and cheese biggrin.png so much more toppings to choose from! For example the rocket salad is great!

how can i be cheap? the pizzas are not cheap there.

i didnt know i had to order cheese to put on the pizza, thats a first, do i have to order tomato sauce and crust too?...your ice cream sucks too, its like eating sand.

...but thanks for the single miniscule piece of canneloni though, i was still hungry and found another italian restaurant a few blocks away.

  15. so how many against 20mln voters and millions, who were prevented from voting?

You mean the 20 million of which around 50% voted NO, and the rest were a couple of million for assorted parties and 8 million buffalos for the PTP.

The ones obstructed were not PTP strongholds and I think the 2% in some provinces that turned out in the re-runs says it all really.

    The real majority are speaking.

    Not the 8 million MINORITY!!!!!!!!!

    The other 40 MILLION VOTERS!

Well over a million on the streets, and the rest voted with their feet.

Of the 40 million in un-obstucted areas, 20 million did not even bother to vote. 10 million who did voted NO and the other 8 million who didn't get the chance to vote would be pretty much all NO votes, and not a single vote would have been PTPO anyway.

So stick that in your pipe and smoke it pal.

    Only 16.69% voted no.

    attachicon.gifpolling-result.jpg

There was only 1 seat that fell below the 20% mark, Thammarat.

Even in democrat strong holds the vote was above the 20% cutoff for a seat to be valid, seats like Prachuap Khiri Khan and Samut Songkhram, likely voted in Pheu Thai (50% share of the vote in the South seats).

Your photo is impressive, but doesn't match up to the others or the TV coverage, I think its from old protests. Radio says 5000, I think that's being generous.

  16. Empire is very nice, i dont know who told you it was run down, but they are wrong. Dont get a room facing niman though, street life is loud.

Behind niman there is Punna residence, you may find a privately owned condo for rent, ask at the office.

On the other side of niman between srirajamangala and niman there are many new condos, and all in your price range. Any condo/apartment between those two roads are in walking distance to everything you need in that area.
