Poopysdad Have the Thai Monopolies Commission actually agreed to the purchase of the Tesco share
of Tesco Lotus by the CP Group, I believe it is called, who also own BIG C's, Seven Eleven's, Makro etc etc.
This is stitch up and prices will start to rise. I feel sorry for the low income thais in this takeover.

Your current Visa is stamped in your passport. Your TM30 notifying your address in Thailand is attached to the inside back cover of your passport ( or normally is) so its only your passport that you need.

Where does that leave owners ( company managers) of SP3 Estate Soi Siam Siam Country Club who are trying to sell their houses of between 7 -10 Million Baht ? Its a lovely well maintained estate, many respectable owners.

Remember to take your insect repellant, AND USE IT DAWN AND DUSK and spray your room a few hours before you go to bed then keep the door closed after. My gf and me came back from Koh Chang 2 weeks ago and were were very badly bitten by sand flies from the beach at Kai Bay. The sand flies work in swarms and only the females bite sometimes leaving their eggs under your skin. Really ichy and painful for days ! Otherwise enjoy.

Well that's enough information for me. I wouldn't live there now having seen all the comments.
Instead continue to live by the sea on the mainland. Everything reasonably priced. Sounds rather like a spoilt paradise that was.

Don't forget that Tinnies Gourmet Pie Shop and Restaurant probably has the best pies of all descriptions. Lovely grub. Thrappaya Road, Jomtien, on the way down to the beach near the welcoming Arch, just before the Krungsri Bank and View Talay 7. Just saying.

These pit bulls are fighting dogs so that's what they do. Thee is no place for them in a domestic family setting. That particular dog should be put down before it mauls a running kiddie to death.

An enjoyable synopsis from Rooster. Seems to be a very well educated gentleman from Blighty's South East corner.

Pattaya Tai also assuming you are on the Eastern Seaboard.

Do they take retirees for teaching ? Non-O Visa holders not allowed to work but its boring being completely retired after a busy professional life in the Health Service sector. Some minimal teaching experience and good qualifications but not for teaching. I already have some English teaching notes. Anyone thanks.

Jomtien every time. Just nice to visit Phuket, Krabi and the islands twice a year for the change and pay the higher prices but then return back to Jomtien. Also proximity to Koh Samet and Koh Chang Islands with Jomtien, just a car ride away.

10 Baht. Why you ashamed about living in Thailand ?

Enzian has it in one. If the drivers have to be 'employed' then the inventors behind the creation will just pull out or employ only small numbers due to national insurance and taxation requirements.

Largely Muslim with Burkha wearing sweaty ladies yet their men can dress scantily for the weather. Seems a very unfair unequal religion. I would never move or visit Malaysia neither would any of my friends.
