Every place I have been to on the island charges me 150 baht. Its almost of if they have a price fix agreement for farangs.

I was in there late November for a private birthday party, so I dont think they have been closed for 2 months........unless they opened especially for that night. Could have done I guess.

For poker you really do need to get the CAT CDMA. Ive been using it for that very purpose since Jan this year. The only time it ever really struggles is during long power cuts where the signal can go very weak. But apart from that its solid.

Try the bike shop just after the Bophut traffic lights, on the left if heading towards Maenam. They have a decent selection in their shop which is out the back of the main shop. I'm not sure about quality, but they can help you.

Is it actually possible to own beaches, or more specifically, parts of beaches that are in public places?

What do the major resorts do when they own hotels that are situated in the middle of a major beach? Surely they dont "own" that little bit that is fronting their hotel?

Entrance was always 100 baht at the old black moon venue at the Lake View. I think drinks were 120 baht a beer. I went once or twice when I 1st came to Samui about 2 years ago, but would have zero interest in going again.
