Took my girlfriend and parents to Rik's Bar on the Ghost Road in Bangrak last night. I was told by a friend to try the Lamp Chops. They were absolutely excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Fair play to Mr.Mark for ringing the bell at a time when there were about 80 customers in the bar...........top lad.
Was another great night in the Premier Bar. I'll be back next week again.

Was a superb night last week. I'll be back this week for sure.

You can try the motorbike shop on the left just after the Bophut traffic lights (if heading away from Chaweng, towards Maenam). They have a decent selection. If you go into the main shop and go through to back left corner, they have an accessories/parts shop out the back selling helmets, jackets, etc.

Whats the deal with parking a motorbike at Samui Airport? I now cars are charged but how about bikes?

also speed is safer as it gets you out of danger quicker. If there is a problem on the run way on arival or a propblem in the air where a pane needs to make a urgent manover then speed is your freind
very good point

I'd say there are probably as many Honda's as any other make of car on Samui. Most people seem to drive Honda, Toyota, Mazda, or Isuzu over here.

I can find return flights to KL for as cheap as 7000 baht, and 4000b of that is tax. I don't really even think it's possible for a 2 hour flight to be any cheaper than that. It's not the airlines fault that governments like to tax everything to death.

Its not just tax, its "tax and fees"..........and we know who sets the "fees" for Samui airport.

Hi all,
I'm planning on going to KL to get a new visa, and have a few questions that I'm hoping the more well informed of you on here can help me with - mainly with the timings involved.
1. Firstly, can I get a double entry tourist visa in KL? (never had a tourist visa before, have been in Thailand for 2 years on 2x Non-O visas)
2. Is it an Embassy or Consulate that I need to go to in KL?
3. When obtaining a new visa in KL, do I need to make the application one day, then go back the next day to collect my passport with new visa?
4. What time each day do I need to do this?
I would appreciate all help/advice from those that have done so in KL so that I can book a trip and make sure that my flight times are ok.
Thanks

My wife went there.
Big wig police coming to the Island, all bars must be drug free by then.
They will conduct ransom urine tests like in Pattaya.
Samui never ceases to amaze me. So they had a meeting to tell bars that they must be drug free. So, by that logic, they must know that some bars are not drug free. So, why havent they taken any action against the non-drug free bars already?

I'd be interested to hear what this was about also.

Three in Mae Nam - another one near to Dan Autos, another one again but smaller on the left near to Samui Cable.
Let us know the prices and options . . . . . right now with no cash I'm looking at taping a Tesco computer sound system to my roof - - - anyone know how to convert from 240v to 12v?
I went to the one at the bottom of the hill from Makro, opposite entrance to Soi Monkey, but they didnt have any brands that Id heard of, and strangely everything was tghe same price - 3500 baht.
I then went to the one you mentioned near Dan Auto. Its about 100 metres from Dan Auto, closer to Bophut, same side of road. They had a better selection, with brands you'd heard of, such as Pioneer, JVC, Sony. I chose a JVC one for 4k baht, which included fitting, which the guy did in about 10 minutes. He also spoke good english.
Thanks for the tips everyone.

Ian, does the vitara have any stereo or speakers in it currently? are you just trying to replace it or start over from scratch?
It currently has one, but its old and the CD players works when it wants to, so I just wanted a new one to replace it.
-
Anyone know if a car stereo bought in the UK will work in a car here in Thailand?
-
Hi all,
I need a new car stereo for my Suzuki Vitara. Doesnt necessarily need to be a new one, new or 2nd hand will do.
Can anyone recommend a shop that a) sells them and fits them for a reasonable charge?
(Ideally Chaweng/Bophut/Maenam side of the island, unless there is a particularly good place in Nathon))
Thanks
Ian
