  1. What kind of world are we living in, where we can't go to a night club in Pattaya and get orally pleasures by a beautiful girl (I assume she's beautiful, heck at 3am after alcohol everyone is beautiful). Disgusting! How are these poor scantily dressed ladies suppose to make ends meet. The cops are taking away their livelihoods. Wait, don't the cops regulate these activities and take a cut from it. Stop! Thinking too much, must have beer and BJ.......

  2. I have no objection to life style choices. Gay, straight or whatever. I do have concern however when you deviate out of your lifestyle choice. If the gay way of life produces off spring then hey congrats. However a gay coupleseeking surrogacy is a tad bit hypocrital to me. You choose a gay lifestyle but yearn the outcome of a straight lifestyle. If you do have money and feel the need for a child, then adopt. There are so many orphans in this world.

So, if straight couples are infertile.....

Perhaps you missed it when people explained human sexuality not changing the desire some people have to be parents?

Quick, let's return to the days when men married, then had kids, then left.. That closeted life surely was better!

Let's not make the exception the rule. If there is a real desire to be a parent, there are orphans looking for you in poor countries. Some places a little money goes a long way.

  4. "Sompob Sansiri, the doctor who performed the operations, was not certified for cosmetic surgery"

For some reason the local news fail to mention that the Dr was uncertified, just that he was charged for negligence. Well in a way it is kind of the same thing. However I doubt that it will help Thailands reputation as an affordable cosmetic "hub" if question start arising if their surgens are certified.

  5. I don't think this means anything at all. Mr. T and the PTP had months to plan a contingency for this very outcome. Its not a secret that both the CC and NACC are not PTP friendly. I believe they saw this coming a mile away. Mr. T may be corrupt, criminal and everything else; he is also a very shrewd and cunning man. Those of you who think YL has got her panties in a bunch sitting at home crying into the pillow while her servants pack her stuff for an extended Dubai holiday, should think again. I think she is just following a contingency script for this very scenario that has been written sometime back.

This decision means nothing in the whole scheme of things, the same party is in power, the same puppet master running the show, its just a different puppet now. PTP is working in getting the next election going (and I don't see them bucking at the knees), the Dems are adamantly trying to avoid elections (even after a lot of TV members feel that the have now an overwhelming support from the masses). They must know something we don't!

I see the results of the last two days as a slap on the face of the Dems and Suthep. They were expecting for PTP to be banned, so as to play their reform strategy and claim power for however long they can stretch it to. That did not happen! So now they are trying to sugar coat this whole affair and claim some form of victory.

To the rest of the TV members on an extended party because of these rulings. You're in Thailand, do you really need a reason to go out and get shitfaced! I think being in Thailand with cheap booze is reason enough.

  6. Typical! Blame someone else. The family should first realise that their son was riding a bike at odd hours of the night without a crash helmet. That in itself is irresponsible and should go down to poor guidance from the parents. Societies acceptance of a lack of helmet does not help either. Yes, the Russians should have made a police report (it did not state if they did), and stayed back to closed up the loose ends of this accident. That is what it was an accident.

Either way, even if they had stayed back the end result would still be the same. A senseless death, why? because of clear disregard for safety.

This is more of the family not having the opportunity to milk money off these Russians for the loss of their child. IMHO.

What a stupid and heartless post! So you blame the boy being the victim of a hit-and-run now? Are you Russian perhaps? How do you know that he would have survived with a helmet on? Did you do the autopsy perhaps?

There are only thee people to blame, and that is the cowards in the cars who hit a young boy and left him to die. Disgusting people!

Hmm, being a little presumptuous are we? You seem to know more details about the accident that what is on print, to be able to lay blame on the car drivers. Or you came to this conclusion because they fled the scene.

Anyway yes, you are correct on every point. We should crucify them Russians. Safety devices in Thailand like helmets and seat belts is there for its cosmetic value and using them is a wage of time.

The way I understand your post the lack of a helmet caused him to be hit, what kind reasoning is this. Yes he may have survived the crash if he had a helmet on but the Russian hit him with a car, duh

You understood my post wrong, lack of helmet significantly reduced his chances of survival. You and I both do not have enough details to say if this accident could haven been prevented. The Russians should have stayed at the site of the accident. Had they not fled the outcome would have still been the same, a senseless loss of life. Accidents happen everyday. The article does not indicate that the car was being reckless, or speeding. It was an accident, where loss of life might have been prevented if proper safety equipment was used.

But hey, maybe we should do it your way and forget instilling safety gear usage to improve survival probabilities, grab us some pitchforks and go get us some Russians. Because in your words "the Russians hit him with a car, duh"

Sorry RedNlvar, but I disagree with parts of what you wrote:

    1. You can ride a bike at what ever time you want, what defines odd hours?

    2. Poor guidance of parents the young lad was 16 years old, in many countries he can do wahtever he likes at that age (he was not a child)

    3. Made a police report? its clearly written they did not stop, they drove off without stopping to check on the young lad

    4. Milk money this statement is probably true but a young person has died I dont think its something that you or anyone else should say, imagine yourself in their position (its not always about money).

As you mentioned its a senseless death that maybe could have been prevented by wearing a helmet (law) But when young we dont think the same way as you do when older, I'm sure you took some risks when young, I know I did.

    RIP

Like I said, the Russians should have owned up to what happens and seen the accident investigation through. I am not supporting their actions. Neither am I advocating the lads parents witch hunt for these Russians. Everything we say here is pure speculation, you can only make a u-turn at a certain speed which is not very fast (unless you're a professional driver). All I'm saying here is that if the speed limits were followed and the required safety devices was used, chances for a fatality would have significantly been reduced.

How many times have we seen this happen, with Russians, Thais or whoever. Instilling the right behaviour and education to ensure the proper safety is taken does not seem to be a priority in this country. Excuses are made blame is somehow shifted elsewhere.

In this case, had the Russians stopped at the scene of the accident when it happened, the outcome would still have been the same a senseless loss of life. As much as I hate to say it, compensations were not paid out and thus the issue has been blown up.

  9. Latest speculations at pprune.org:

Could the Malay Govt be covering up the fact that they took this plane out, because it was a security threat (hijacked, full of fuel, heading for KL)

If that would have been the case, shouldn't the publicly available ADS-B signal first show that the plane was turning around and it would be heading towards KL?

On the other hand, if the hijacking happened earlier on the flight and the terrorists gained the control of the plane did turn the transponders off before making a turn back to KL. Then it would make sense. Ok.

Not possible, firstly no such thing as Malay Govt. Secondly, you give the Malaysian Govt too much credit.

  10. @krisb - lighten up. I was responding to Crib's assertion that some of the claims here were straight out of Hollywood with an image of outback Australia that is similarly fanciful. The idea that the pilot could somehow have landed in Oz undetected is right up there with anything I've seen on the Bermuda Triangle, but the person who typed it obviously didn't think so. TV's lunatic fringe.

If you believe I take any joy in the fate of the passengers and crew on this flight, think again - 6 weeks from now, I get on an overnight flight to KL and have a connecting flight to Penang : I suspect that I have a much more immediate stake in KLIA authorities improving their security procedures than anyone else in this thread - happy to hear otherwise.

It's called black humor, and I'll leave it to the mods to decide if I've stepped over the mark.

Worldwide you managed to do it again, stuck your big size 12 right in it. Their is NO room for humour in any variety on this thread. Krisb +1. Incoming.

Anyhow, let's move foward. I'm flying to Bkk via KL in 2 weeks. Can't help but feel very nervous. My wife looks pale at the thought of it. Nearly flew with Malaysia but booked with Air Asia instead. Hearts pumping faster just thinking about it.

reportedly airasia has notified all non malay pilots of their termination as malaysians only will fly for them in the near future. airasia own a flight school and apparently graduating ample numbers. in the meanwhile the experienced pilots are asked to provide real inflight training to the new grads. there are stories of clipped wings etc etc as the newbies get their "crash course" no pun intended. it is not clear if the new malay pilots salaries will be lower than their experienced non malay pilots.

When you say Malay, do you mean Malaysian or Malaysians with Malay ethnicity? A person from Malaysia is Malaysian not Malay. FYI

  11. Actually, two civilians have also been killed today.

PTP, who you apparently support by all means, has lost. YL and PTP could have exited the stage gracefully, but they have decided to launch a wave of violence and mayhem instead. Everything is collapsing around PTP's ears, and I guess they just decided to take as much down with them as possible.

Why would you say that PTP has lost. When this started, they took the middle ground and called for fresh elections. Its the opposition that has taken this course of action for fear of losing again and again and again. Historically every cause that is championed by the majority of the people have always ended with victory. Same would be the case for the PTP. Suthep and his band of idiots, will lose sooner or later. You can call the Shin clan whatever you want, but as long as they have the backing of the majority, they will always be around. This is a fact. The sooner you face this and get on with life the better.

I am just glad that Chalerm did not resort to tactics employed by the "Butchers of Ratchaprasong" (Bloodbath Vejjajiva and MadDog Thaugsuban), or else Mr. Suthep would have already been given the Seh Daeng treatment and many more protesters would have lost their lives. All this shows is the restraint being shown by the current government.

I hope for this to end with dialogue and no more loss of life, but given the unreasonable attitude shown by the MadDog I fear this will not happen.

At this moment PTP doesn't have a majority in Thailand. There are so many furious people even in the North! Right now it is so obvious that they raped Thailand financially in a big way. Are you following the news? Do you understand what is happening? I bet the PM will exit the country same as her brother!

If that is the case, would the opposition not want fresh new elections. Ask yourself who is still running from having elections, the last I saw from following the news, its not PTP. What are the opposition afraid off. Have brand new elections, stop this unnecessary loss of life. What are they waiting for?
