I think Prison time, compensation, and deported after time served. Compensation and allowed to leave would mean nothing to this guy. -

British Man's Urgent Plea to Save Dying Father in Thailand

I had and still have medical insurance B4,000,000 cover. I was told by the insurance company that they pay the hospital directly. After 3 days in hospital the bill was B25,000. Hospital said the insurance has refused to pay. My wife called the company and asked why? They said we have to pay first and claim it back. we had the money to pay. so we did. put a claim in, took 3 months to get B23,000 back. We had to pay B2,000 for the service. Never trust a Thai insurance company. The sole purpose of having medical insurance is if there is a medical emergency, the funds are there to cover it. -

Thailand Yet to Finalise Policy on Taxing Expats’ Overseas Income
Lopburikid replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
This I have just found on a translantion about pensions with a double tax treaty. It’s a pension you earned before 2024. Keep your pension record well just in case the Revenue Department ask for it. There’s a double taxation agreement between Thailand and your country stating that the pension, mainly from the government, is subject to tax exclusion. It’s a pension that falls under non-accessible income, such as payments from the US Social Security. On the other hand, if it’s a pension from a private company, such as through an investment, it’s likely that you need to pay tax on that. -

For the amount of tourist that visit Thailand every month, year. I would say it is nothing more than what happens in Spain, France, England in a year. 194 foreigners arrested in 2024, out of how many millions entered in that year? -

Well why else would you turn round a damaged aircraft just as you were going to land and return , putting lives at risk, back to your departure airport and land there, quite safely. then transfer all the passengers onto another plane to fly back to Singapore?? Because it obviously worked out cheaper.. The plane would have been grounded, repairs would have had to be paid for plus the storing of the aircraft and then a complete saty check before it would be released back to Thai Airways.
