Your wife can be with you throughout the process and she can translate.
Relax. It'll be fun.
He's not married !

I understand that and understand that if not married, you get less points for certain things,
what I am asking is that can my wife act as a translater for me even if I do not get any extra points for being married.
Easier to wait 3 years than go the alternative route, which is getting Permanent Residency first.

Well take a moment out of your day and access all threads associated with this topic. I have followed this ordeal closely. There is a couple of threads specifically on what you are looking for. Some posters very negative, some very supportive towards Coach Ek. At the end of the day, this is not the tread for blame. Its for live updates and a positive outcome.
Cheers mate
To be honest, I'm not particularly interested in the whole thing. I don't have a TV and rarely read the news.
We are not all retired here with lots of free time on our hands.

Try a different thread for your negativity nit wit.
Some people here only read the breaking news threads. I have never seen any other threads regarding who was to blame.

I'm going to voice my opinion here, I think it's a valid point nobody is mentioning.
The adult of the group, the leader. Surely he is accountable for those kids. If you had a kid that went with him, your son, and that son was stuck in a cave for the duration and could possibly die, wouldn't you hold him accountable? On top of that, someone has died because of this, not to mention the monetary cost. I dunno, I don't see why people aren't looking at him in all of this, he was the only adult and thus the guardian of the kids.
If I had a kid in this situation, after literally losing days of sleep wondering the heck that son was, fearing the worse, I would be majorly pi55ed at the adult in the situation, that's for sureOf course, but they should concentrate on their rescue first. Personally, I think he should be put in jail.

ok so this is the question,
I understand that if married under 3 years, I cannot qualify for more points for lower salary etc
but can my wife still be in the interviews with me to help with translation, am sure I could take 10 points from knowledge of thailand with a translater
You have to wait until you have been married for 3 years before you can apply. Otherwise, many people would get married just to become a citizen, then get divorced.

same as back home,
you have certificate = 1 year , diploma = 2 years , BA = 3 years
question is does a 1 year certificate count as graduated from a thai establishment
What is a "certificate"?
BTW, you would get 10 points for your age.
Also 5 points for personality!
learn to read Thai and you'd get 8 points pretty easily for the multiple choice test.
Point for length of stay in Thailand, you're sorted.

..and ME.
I find it hard to believe that some people have never taken an illegal drug. Never a little bit of ganja or a tab of LSD? A lot less harmful than cigs or booze, in fact can be very enlightening, in a spiritual way. I recently watched a great movie about Ram Dass and his experiments with Timothy Leary at Harvard in the 60's.
All youngsters would have taken pot, I would have thoiught the older ones would have too, 40/50 years ago.

I am sorry this guy lost his life. Seems we do not know whether he had an addiction problem or not. It would seem to me that based on the amount of varied drugs he had in his possession he was dealing drugs. The fact that he had meth and was probably dealing the stuff is the nail in the coffin for me. Seeing first hand the effects of meth on friends, it is without a doubt on the top of the list along with heroine of drugs that should not be used. Meth totally screws up the head and causes serious addition, that's a fact. It is easily made, sold, and used. So if he was dealing drugs to support his own habit, I would agree he might have had a serious illness himself which he might not have been able to control. However, if, and it's a big if, he was selling drugs to make money to support himself and/or his family then it's one less drug dealer on the planet causing serious harm to others. I feel for the family. But it's possible that his death might save some number of poor souls he might have talked into taking drugs. Meth dealers often give a little of the drug away in the beginning as they know it becomes addictive and it gets their customers hooked. So if he was just a willing dealer, well his death is awful for his family, but not so bad for others who might have through him become addicted to meth.
He was a recovering addict/alcoholic last time I met him. Looks like he was just dealing to save going back to Iceland to make money.

I think a Pol Lt Col was in a patrol car because someone dropped the dime on the dealer. I've never seen a Thai 'patrolling' a moo baan, let alone one with a high ranking officer on board.

How to call someone aside, some of the comments about this incident border on the ridiculous and insane and very very childish. A man for reasons known only to himself, peddled drugs, he ran rather than brazen it out and has paid the ultimate price.
A sad ending and I am sure many on here will wish him RIP , but secretly glad that another Foreigner has bitten the dust as he was a bad chap .
Respect, Khun Paul!

Is this an example of you spending your time in other ways, and not being offensive on forums? Are you irony-challenged? LOL why don't you go take your own good advice?
I knew this man.
What the hell has it got to do with you?
Do you even live in Isarn?

As a retiree, there are other ways to spend your time, rather than being offensive on forums.
Get out and meet some real people, if you have any social skills.

Perhaps you should take better care of your "offsprings" then.
Maybe one day you will have offspring and realize that you can give them the best in life and they can still get a disease such as alcoholism or drug addiction.

Your incisive questioning has put me on the ropes. I give in, GI.
No, I don't support impeachment. I'd rather the next Congress, if the House goes Democratic, and in the rather more unlikely case that the Senate does, start legislating popular bills that Trump and other Republicans stifle. Show the country what real populism looks like, not this counterfeit of making the powerful more powerful and the middle and working classes weaker Even in the exceedinglly unlikely event that Trump gets voted out of office by the Senate, that would only mean President don't-leave-me-alone-with-a-woman Pence, who actually seems to actually believe in all the causes of the social conservatives and then some.
Thanks, a simple, "no" would have sufficed.

I realize you'd love to make this topic about anything other than Trump, but stop claiming my posts say things they don't.
You said Trump supporters are less intelligent that Clinton ones, even giving a website saying such. There are similar ones saying different races have lower IQs, so what does this prove? Your vote is worth more?

This is off topic.
I asked the guy a simple question which is related to the thread title. He refuses to answer it for some reason.

Why are you citing Trump's motto?
Stop the BS, do you support impeachment? Hardly a difficult question. If you don't want anyone to know, just say so.
Keep this on topic please.

Actually my post was far less offense and arrogant than yours. I made no comment on the intelligence of Trump voters, even though research on their average education levels would have made that easy. http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/11/09/behind-trumps-victory-divisions-by-race-gender-education/
Wow, you'll be saying black people are less intelligent than white next?
Would you think a fair democracy would be to give intelligent voters like yourself 2 votes and a lower IQ person 1 vote?

In 1979 President Jimmy Carter brokered a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt that was, in part, bought with the promise of significant aid from the US. Since then Israel and Egypt have been the two biggest recipients of US aid. I'm not aware of any significant change in the amount of aid to Israel since Trump took office but was unable to find current figures.
The only US president I liked. I admired JFK, until I found out the truth about him.
Trump promised Israel $13 billion over the next 10 years. next year an increase of $200 million.

I disagree. The OP states the 3rd tradition in full, one must be an alcoholic(suffer from the disease of alcoholism).
Tell them to stop being so stingy and pay for professional counselling. AA is not a self-help group.
