  1. If they want to live like cavemen in the mountainous Afghan / Pakistan borger region . Then good. Seal them and cut them off. That is thier corner of the earth so let them do with it what they will.

Exactly, and the same with all other muslim countries who want to live under a law of the middleage. Forget them, and lock the western borders.

  2. Tried the new Indian place down the bottom of Loi Kroh last night with a friend.

We had starter, main course, rice & Garlic Naan each with a small Singha & Large Leo each.

    Total cost 990Baht.

Very nice food and very good service (we were the only people in there though lol).

Food is all cooked fresh so takes a while but it's a nice enough little place to sit and have a drink & chat whilst it's being cooked.

I consider it good value for money and will be eating there probably on a regular basis.

Can't remember the name of it though, sorry.

Now if you could locate it on Google Map it could be useful for some of us who would be happy to try this restaurant. Thanks.

  4. Today is back to normal, but I've never seen such a crystal clear sky like today in march for seven years. I have a wonderful view on the mountains near Mae Wang. Rarely so clear.

Happy it's hot again, i just cannot stand 18° with cold winds and rain here. :)

  5. ad's should be placed in cooperation with thaivisa support .. aren't they ?

It's not an advertising, I'm a macuser as many others. But I thought this Bundle could be useful for some other macusers.

Up to you , but from now I'll not share anything more in this forum. Even if I will know how to resolve some problem on your Mac, you'll have to find out by yourself. I'm bored of some kind of people on TV, bye bye !!!!!!!!!

  6. I have absolutely no interest in this promotion but just want to let you know about a very interesting bundle of 11 apps as you can find Here.

If I din't had already the license for Parallels Desktop 6, 1Password, DVDRemaster Pro 7 I would buy it. Hands Off is a kind of Little Snitch, an application to monitor and control the access of applications to your network and disks.

  7. Hi there,

I just wanted to let you know these 2 free Mac softwares:

    MPlayerX

MPlayerX is a open-source project under GPLv2, which aims to be the most powerful, beautiful, easy to use multimedia player on Mac OS X.

    AND

    VideoSpec

VideoSpec is a free AppleScript studio App (Xcode 3.0 on Leopard) making use of MediaInfo CLI, MPlayer, FFmpeg, qt_toolsand AtomicParsley binaries to display detailed informations on video files.

MPlayerX can be downloaded free from the AppleStore or from the link provided.

Worth a look at the websites.

  8. And I'm curious to know why so many muslims come to Pattaya where nearly 100 % of the food and entertainment is haram.

Haraam (Arabic: حرام‎) (often haram) is an Arabic term meaning "forbidden". In Islam it is used to refer to anything that is prohibited by the faith. Its antonym is halal.
    .

I'm just curious, why do they don't stay where the women are so sexy under a burka and where it's such a place of peace, love and tolerance ?

  9. All the mess in North Africa is plotted from the White House & Friends. Their goal is to weaken Europe by a massive flood of muslims, and poor and uneducated people.

Tell me I'm crazy, but it's not yesterday the US began to build and destroy dictatorships.

  10. Siam Electronics has a banner up for a Lenova 14.1, Win 7, 2G, 500G HD - 9,900 baht.

Now that's cheap and Lenovo is a good brand (unless it's a Lenova ??? ). I guess it comes with Win Seven Starter ? Anyway, a good deal.

  11. Im 29, lived here nearly 6 years, and I prefer Chiang Mai over any other place in Thailand. True, its not the craziest place for a party but it has a good selection of scenes and it doesn't take too long to get the hang of it. Depending where you go, places can range from the feeling of a small village type pub to a Unni neighbourhood club. Best yet, just come up here for a week and see how you like it! These are lots of old dudes around for sure but you'll meet younger people too, and find that a lot of the old guys are cool as well.

I agree, just spend a few time here and if he don't like it he can give a try to Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Samui or Bangkok. So many poeple love Paris, but I wouldn't live there. ;)

  12. I think you can find a decent 13 " notebook (heavier than a netbook though and maybe not much savy on the battery life) around 13-14 K. Most of the shops are on the ground and 1st floor, have a look.

  13. It's a 10,1 " Asus netbook like the one in this LINK. I didn't look very close for the specs but at this price it's not a bad deal.

Take time to visit the panthip Plaza and you'll maybe find what you are looking for but new for a couple of bahts more.

  14. I just saw a brand new 10 " Asus EeePC with 2Gig of Ram and a 320 GB HD for 9900 bahts at Panthip plaza the other day.

I don't know if it is worth to buy a 2nd hand laptop for 8000 ? There is some 2nd hand laptop for sale in the same Panthip Plaza though, just have a look.

  15. I am planning to move to Thailand very soon, and from what I can tell Chiang Mai seems like a perfect fit for me.I grew up in the U.S.A. spend many years in central america moved to Israel like 8 months ago,and the people here seem a little stressed out .I think thats because there know real peace in this part of the world.I would like if any one could tell me more about Chiang Mai.Before I get there.I am kinda a laid back guy, enjoy different things.I do think that after a short trip to any place and to say what they think is well I am LOL. Just my 2 cents

My 2 cents, I don't live in the city and it's perfect for what I'm looking for. Only 27 km to Chiang Mai (20-30 min on bike) when I want to meet some people or buy some western food, no one westerner around and I live in a nice thai moobaan with few people. Quiet, clean and friendly neighbours, only 3 houses inhabited all the time.

Usually no noise after 10 PM and no traffic near the house.
