I bought a bike and the local tax/mot place said I have to go to DLT in Sakon but they have someone can do for me. He takes paper first time then takes the bike on his pick up. My problem is I don't have a yellow book but they said get a copy of my mother in laws book and that will be enough.........my problem is everyone else say I need a letter from immigration. I am 74 and have no desire to drive my bike 130km there and 130km back....what is your take on this?

Surely the court/powers that be can release him on the condition he stays out of politics along with a gag order preventing from speaking to the press about any current issues? Then he can go home to his family and he will soon be old news and all but forgotten.

I gave up on reading posts on page 1. I get an email saying he's been arrested and is in jail but when I open the site it says some says he will be arrested. Is someone taking the mickey or did I miss something?

I have freinds who married Bar girls and have been togrher for up to 20 years. Sure there are some real lying slags out there but only the desperate and the dumbest guys are taken in by them. Rule number one if you get involved is visit the parents and if you get the want want want impression you have most likely backed the wrong horse. There are many many good girls who fall head over heels with farang and would die for them but you must be at leasst be able to support them especially if they have a child. If you can't make end meets she will by any means possible even if it breaks her heart to do it. Never forget most girls end up in bars because they had little choice back in the same financial situation most will revert back to that life. Getting a job selling hamburgers or in 7/11 without a University degree is very tough for Thai girls. I do know of one friend who lost everything and his girlfriend now his wife went out selling shoes and supported them for 3 years until he got back on his feet. I also know a lady who worked in our office about 15 years ago had 5 guys on the go at the same time. One bought her a car another a massgae palour and the others a monthly allowance. Then out of the blue she meets a guy from Hong Kong and dumps them all and now she lives there with 2 kids.....granted he could buy this forum at one emd of the street and sell it at the other so hardly surprising she's still with him.......to be fair according to her fiends she is very loyal to her hubby..........Bar girl office girl it doesnt make an ounce of difference there's good and bad everywhere

An Example: A huge story: The President of the USA is being accused of taking bribes and selling out his country BUT go find the story on MSNBC one of the nations biggest news companies. Or how about CNN......Trump news before these indictments was found on the front page but the Biden story hidden away in the politics section. Be in denial if you like but the Election that put that dummy Biden in charge was rigged by people like Soros and the fake news media. Trump wass doing great things for America and the first thing Joe Biden was instructed to do was tear down everything Trump had done. America immeditaly lost people their lives in Afghanastan Putin with Trump gone attacks Ukraine Little rocket man starts playing with his toys again the world is in chaos thousands dying and even in sunny Thailand the cost of living has gone up more athan at any time oin the last 20 years thanks to Biden messing everything up. Hi. This could be a dumb question but here goes. I have just renewed my British Passport. My old one was valid yntil June 2024. My retirement visa runs out in Jan 2024 My question is re 90 day report which I do on line. When I next apply in October do I give my new passport number or do I use my old one? Thanks in advance NOTE: They say you can apply a year in advance to make sure you have your passport in time. What they din't tell you is your new passort does not run from when your old one expires it runs from when they recieive your application

I moved up country and everyone told me I would have to do my new 90 days report at the immigration office which is hours away and a full day is gone.. So I called and asked if I could post my info including a copy of my lease a TM47 and a TM30 and the young lady said no problem. In 3 days they sent me back a new 90 day report and as my house is on the mother in laws land they sent her copy to me also. Since then I have done all my 90 days reports on line and I get an email confirming its in motion and one saying it has been done as quick as within 24 hours....Just download them, print and stick it in my passport. One thing I did notice......I applied early because of Songkhran and my new 90 days was valid from the day after I applied NOT from the date my previous one ran out.

I wondered the same thing maybe both have yo do seperately and the foreigners never. Also that American..how on earth did immigration know he was on overstay? It can only have been a few days after his due date as they had been looking form him. Maybe someone has had something aginst the guy and reported him?

If they were half awake as a company they would ask for these things when you open your account and no have you wasting hours trying to find out what the hell an IC number is when asked to add your bank account. Someone suggested phone your band I did a nd they had no idea what the letters IC stood for, It's like me asking a Thai for his PN and expecting him/her to know what the hell I am talking about. My advice is go shopping to laxada who are much more organised and foreiner friendly
