I renewed my UK passport in July a year ahead of time. They didn't run the new one from when my old one expires but from the date they received it. That was not made clear to me so In affect I got 9 tears instead of 10. Such is life but my QUESTION now is:- my retirement visa is due for renewal mid mid January 2024 but I was thinking about going to immigration mid December 2023. If I do go in December is it the same as the passport?.............would my new visa run from December or when the old one runs out in January

MY own situation is my UK passport expires in June 2024 but I already applied for and have a new passport. {Incidentally when you apply a year early like I did it runs 23 to 33 so you lose a year} My current retirement visa runs out in Jan 2024. I have to visit Immigration for a proof of address to register a motorcycle for DLT. Is it likely they will transfer my visa at the same time or do I have to wait till my next visa in January.

Around where I live and it's not a big place there's about 25 guys seperated from their gf/wives. To be honest most of them would argue with their own shadow and appear to me as they would be impossible to live with. Ages vary but most of the women involved in these relationships would be 40 to 50 and the men around 60. However I have a couple of other friends still with their wives and they are around 70 and the wife not yet 40 and they seem very happy....never see one without the other. If the question is have rellationships between a couple withan age difference of 20 or even 30 years more likely to fail I would have to say no. As long as their are no finacial problems and they guy has a good heart and has grown out of his Peter Pan trousers they are very likely to survive.

I bought a bike and the local tax/mot place said I have to go to DLT in Sakon but they have someone can do for me. He takes paper first time then takes the bike on his pick up. My problem is I don't have a yellow book but they said get a copy of my mother in laws book and that will be enough.........my problem is everyone else say I need a letter from immigration. I am 74 and have no desire to drive my bike 130km there and 130km back....what is your take on this?

Surely the court/powers that be can release him on the condition he stays out of politics along with a gag order preventing from speaking to the press about any current issues? Then he can go home to his family and he will soon be old news and all but forgotten.

I have freinds who married Bar girls and have been togrher for up to 20 years. Sure there are some real lying slags out there but only the desperate and the dumbest guys are taken in by them. Rule number one if you get involved is visit the parents and if you get the want want want impression you have most likely backed the wrong horse. There are many many good girls who fall head over heels with farang and would die for them but you must be at leasst be able to support them especially if they have a child. If you can't make end meets she will by any means possible even if it breaks her heart to do it. Never forget most girls end up in bars because they had little choice back in the same financial situation most will revert back to that life. Getting a job selling hamburgers or in 7/11 without a University degree is very tough for Thai girls. I do know of one friend who lost everything and his girlfriend now his wife went out selling shoes and supported them for 3 years until he got back on his feet. I also know a lady who worked in our office about 15 years ago had 5 guys on the go at the same time. One bought her a car another a massgae palour and the others a monthly allowance. Then out of the blue she meets a guy from Hong Kong and dumps them all and now she lives there with 2 kids.....granted he could buy this forum at one emd of the street and sell it at the other so hardly surprising she's still with him.......to be fair according to her fiends she is very loyal to her hubby..........Bar girl office girl it doesnt make an ounce of difference there's good and bad everywhere

Or how about CNN......Trump news before these indictments was found on the front page but the Biden story hidden away in the politics section. Be in denial if you like but the Election that put that dummy Biden in charge was rigged by people like Soros and the fake news media. Trump wass doing great things for America and the first thing Joe Biden was instructed to do was tear down everything Trump had done. Hi. This could be a dumb question but here goes. I have just renewed my British Passport. My old one was valid yntil June 2024. My retirement visa runs out in Jan 2024 My question is re 90 day report which I do on line. When I next apply in October do I give my new passport number or do I use my old one? Thanks in advance NOTE: They say you can apply a year in advance to make sure you have your passport in time. What they din't tell you is your new passort does not run from when your old one expires it runs from when they recieive your application
