  1. I want to renew my UK Passort. I live in the North East and have absolutely no desire to go to Bangkok. Can anyone recommend a good agent who offers a full service.
  2. Everytime some guy takes his own live out they come........."The police did it".........Wasn't exactly you everyday normal joe was he? He'd have been taken to the Croc farm and never seen again and we would be told he was realeased if the police had something to hide.
  3. Have you tried telling Interpol you are coming.......they have been very busy lately and may have missed you last time???? BTW no payment is required
  4. I can't say I saw the words "Famous Thai lawyer" did you? Could have been Denny Crane or Perry Mason :0)
  5. I moved up country and everyone told me I would have to do my new 90 days report at the immigration office which is hours away and a full day is gone.. So I called and asked if I could post my info including a copy of my lease a TM47 and a TM30 and the young lady said no problem. In 3 days they sent me back a new 90 day report and as my house is on the mother in laws land they sent her copy to me also. Since then I have done all my 90 days reports on line and I get an email confirming its in motion and one saying it has been done as quick as within 24 hours....Just download them, print and stick it in my passport. One thing I did notice......I applied early because of Songkhran and my new 90 days was valid from the day after I applied NOT from the date my previous one ran out.
  6. Hope you got sorted ok. I had to copy everything..My 90 day report my arrival card and of course my visa. What a strange question or is it me? 100% you need a valid visa in your passport????
  7. I wondered the same thing maybe both have yo do seperately and the foreigners never. Also that American..how on earth did immigration know he was on overstay? It can only have been a few days after his due date as they had been looking form him. Maybe someone has had something aginst the guy and reported him?
  8. If they were half awake as a company they would ask for these things when you open your account and no have you wasting hours trying to find out what the hell an IC number is when asked to add your bank account. Someone suggested phone your band I did a nd they had no idea what the letters IC stood for, It's like me asking a Thai for his PN and expecting him/her to know what the hell I am talking about. My advice is go shopping to laxada who are much more organised and foreiner friendly
  9. I thinks it's a case of Thailand saying we don't want any part in your silly war because to them one lot is as bad as the other.
  10. Yep Tuesday the 4th
  11. Well I definitely had to..don't get confused with Covid waiting time, you can book today for tomorrow now.
  12. When I got my 2 year motorcycle licence and renewed my 5 year car licence they asked for 2 separate letters confirming my address and would not accept a copy. You book your appointment here https://gecc.dlt.go.th it has every office in Thailand in a drop down...once you do I suggest you take a screen shot (Windows key + prtsc key. open paint and paste) then print a copy. Also you will be asked to watch a 1 hour long video and asked a couple of questions like when do you start to signal (30mt) once you pass that again take a screen shot of the certificate that shows up and paste it into Paint....save both a JPG's. and take those with you. It's a piece of cake if you can get there before it opens you'll be in and out in an hour.
  13. 100% they will NOT accept your yellow book..good idea to take it with you to immigration when going to get a letter. Also take a couple of passport pics as they glued mines to the letter and stamped over it
  14. Nothing new in Thailand Memories of an ex-cop who was in charge of purchasing of computers for all police stations in Thailand His wife allegedly opened a computer company and he bought all the computers from her instead of IBM 136 million baht was pocket change to him
  15. Typical mistake frang make. They think all it takes is money. Once lawyers get involved and the media buying your way out becomes near impossible. The egg lady is not some farm hand (no disrespect meant) that will lie down quietly She's obviously a well healed intellegent business woman. In short the Lambo guy is in deep doo-doo and it will cost him plenty.
  16. Just got back today from renewing my motorcycle licence........what a nightmare it could have been if not for pure luck. First stop was to get a medical certificate ..cost 50 baht which was blank and had to fill my own name in and passport number Duh!! My friend went to the same place to renew his licence and they didn't want a medical certificate but anyway they took mines. Next step was go online AT HOME sit the test, took a screen shot of the pass and printed up a copy. Then it was to book an Appointmenent with DLT Sakon Nakhon and I got one for 9am to 11am screenshot and printed that up. Printed up and signed visa and info page of passport signed every copy in blue ink. Now it was just a simple case of getting up at 4.am to be at Thai Immigrartion for 8am. Her indoors parents decided they would come for a day out. Now I had already sent a copy of my lease etc etc and was regisred with Thai immigration for my 90 day report So they had confirmation of where I was staing as they sent us receipts for the TM30 and the TM 47 for my landlady who just happens to be my g/f mother..it's complicated. We get there at 8.am and a Thai immigration policeman pulls up a few minutes later and asks what I want. Nice guy very polite takes my passoprt and by 9.30 am I have a letter confirming my address but not without an unexpected glitch. The guy comes out and asks me for a copy of my land ladies house book. Considering I am registed there already I am left wondering why as I have never been asked for this before in BKK or Phitsanulok. So two things..By pure chance my Landlady has come with me and lo and behold she has her blue book with her or I was goosed. Then he asked me for a photo of myself and by chance I had 4 old ones in my wallet. Again the last time I got a letter was at Phisanulok and there was no photo requirement. Lady just looked me up on compater saw my 90 day reprt was in order and proted a letter up boss signed it done. Anyway we get to Sawan Daeng Din DLT and we have everything. One problem!! there are two DLT offices in Sakon Nakhon and we are at the wrong one we passed the other about 45 minutes beforehand. However this very cute young lady gave me a smile and said don't worry I will put it through here for you. Great go to the counter hand over everything and the guy checks everything is in order. But alas!!!! he says I need a copy of your landladies ID and I am gobsmacked. She doesn't have it with her. Why I don't know but he insists he must have it despite the fact Thai Immigration have given me a letter confirming my address with my photo attached and huge red stamp over it and signed by an officer, However Father has his ID so I take that copy it he signs it and give it to the guy. He barely looks at it and takes it with the rest and tell us to come back in the afternoon for the test. She points out colours and you do that old brake test so very easy. My curent licence runs out in October but my birthday was in September so I get my licence 6 years. Very advabced by the way with holograms to stop faking them I suppose. I don't know if this is nationwide now but fair warning to anyone who rents. get copies of your landladies ID and hpusebook plus take a few passport photos with you to immigration and to DLT or you could end up having to go through the whole thing again. This seems to be a new ruling as there is no mention of this requirement on either BLT ot immigration websites
  17. We got Falangs and Farangs falling out of buidlings or ar they being pushed? BTW it is F̄rạ̀ng neither of the above
  18. After reading that you could go to your local police station to confirm your address I thought I'd chance my arm and call dlt in Sakon Nakhon. Their English was limited but after about 20 minutes a young sounding female confirmed I needed a letter from my Embassy (No chance I'm flying to BKK for that) or a letter from the police in Sakon Nakhon city. After a few questions she of course meant Immigration not the police. So this poor old guy has a round trip of 280km to look forward to unless does anyone know if agents can do this for you by post?
  19. I did my own report and did my landladies TM30 for her which she signed and supplied a copy of her ID. Immigration stamped signed and returned the bottom sections for office use only for both the TM30 and the TM47 I gave my landlady her copy to keep. When I do my next reoprt there is no need for a lease or a TM30 The list above is what you send once your initial registration. That is the only difference it's got nothing to do with which office it's to do with your personal situation. For example if you have just moved and obtained a yellow book you obviously don't need a lease for your first application in the area..
  20. Photocopy of passport pages with following pages front page showing name / surname / Passport No., etc. current visa last entry stamp of immigration last extension of visa Copy of arrival/departure card TM. 6 (front and back) Previous notifications of staying over 90 days (if any) Completely filled in and signed notification form TM. 47 Envelope with 5 Baht stamp affixed and return address of foreigner for the officer in charge to send back the lower part of form TM. 47 after having received the notification. This part must be kept for reference and for future notifications of staying over 90 days. 90 day reports by mail need to be sent by registered mail Mailed report must be received within 15 to 7 days before the report date. From Thai Immigration. Now in your experience show me something that disagrees with that from any Immigration office in Thailand. Please anyone reading this simply call your local office who will confirm that they accept mailed reports. These people who just open their mouths and let their bellies rumble is what gets this forum a bad name.
  21. In certain matters yes, for example how much you are charged for a letter of residence can vary, appointment making is required by some but not in this case they do not. The rules are the rules end of story. The only difference is if you live in a heavily populated area like BKK or Pattaya you make find your new 90 day report takes time to come back. Spoke to my friend today who told me he got worried and called Pattya when his never came back and they told him not to worry he was registered on their system/computers and it will come eventiually. At the end of the day the question is can I apply for a 90 day report by post when moving to a new province.. The answer is YES!!!
  22. No I haven't Main page of PP and arrival card are there
  23. I found it hard to get information or a response on here to this simple quetion so I hope this helps someone. I moved from Pattaya to a village in the north east and was 150km to the local Immigration office. The thought of a 300km round trip on my motorbike did not appeal to me one bit. Someone had said you need to go personally to do your first 90 day report when moving to a new province This is absolute rubbish. I was lucky to get a phone call answered immediately and the immigration officer could not have been more helpful She told me to send the following by post. You can not do your first one in a new province online but your next one you can. A copy of your lease if you don't have a yellow book. If you have a lease date it from the day after you intend to post everything. A completed TM30 signed by your landlady if you have one and a copy of her ID signed. A completed TM47 both the TM30 and TM 47 you can download. A copy of your latest Visa and a copy of your current 90 day report A copy of your arrival card (that's the white slip pinned to your passport) A copy of the main page of your passport. A stamped adress envelope for them to send your new 90 day report to you. . Make sure you sign all copies in blue ink. I sent everything on the Monday morning and had my new 90day report by Thursday afternoon.
  24. Hi all, I am moving from BKK to Sakon Nakhon where I will be renting a house. The Thai Immigration Office is over 150km from there. Can I send the relevant documents, like a copy of my visa aTM30 and copy of my lease etc. and do my new 90day report by mail (I don't mean online) or do I have to go personally?
  25. Does anyone for one minute think that Biden and Co actually care about the working class or students. Everything he does is geared to try and get votes and to hell with the cost. He appoint a black woman who in no way is qualified to be VP but it got him famale votes and black votes the fact she's near on useless..well that doesn't matter. Now he's aiming at getting students to vote for him and fool the people into thinking he's Santa Clause. The truth is the Biden days are a disaster and the entire world is suffering one way or another because the media propoganda, the constant attacks on Trump and the deep state money put an idiot in charge. Trump is no angel but at least things were good when he was in....no wars for akick of because no one would dare cross him Let's not mention fuel.
