You can swift transfer the money back to the UK in sterling because that's where it originated from but you won't be able to go to a branch in Thailand and take it out in sterling. They will only give you Baht.

No problem to withdraw in Sterling but they charge around 2%.

Apparently it is a case of a new officer being present at the office when he applied.

A friend has informed me he was at the office here in city last week for his 90 day report and there were none of the normal officers present. I am thinking that there might of been some temporary officers there due to the flooding.

Went there yesterday to get my one year extension stamp and it was the normal staff that are at the office. In and out in 15 minutes.

Joe I was there last week to do my 90 day report, took me less than 5min. All the staff present I had not seen before.

  3. Recently i had all my required stamps moved to my new passport, i have at present a 1 year retirement visa. I have previously never attempted to perform a online report. When i go to the webite and fill in all the details it informs me to contact my IMO.

When i fill in the details using my old passport number it lets me proceed to section 2

Would i need to depart Thailand and perform a border run and then receive a new TM-6 in order to get the new passport to be accepted on the online system.

    Why a submersible?

Look at a close-coupled motor/pump unit mounted next to the tank.

Sketch out rough plan of pump / watering location and distances for better idea for recommendations.

The two sides are 45m per side and the rear is 35m.

Would you have some idea on the pump i would require, also would there be any that has adjustable flow or can i just use a gate valve and open to adjust the flow.

    These are the tank connections.

  5. Tomorrow the guys will plant my hedge and at present the ground is nice and soft due to the rainfall. After rain ends i need to devise a watering plan. There is around 400 plants to water so need a decent feed from the tank.

My plan is to get a submersible and place in the tank then cross over from pump hose size to 5/8 plastic pipe. Just checking what spec of Submersible pump i would require or any other options to keep things as simple as possible.

  6. I have never used any garage in CR as yet so just checking for some info regarding a small garage that the owner has basic english. I am not keen on the main dealers as many will not allow you in the service area.

I'd say Technocom near the Overbrook Hospital.

Do they have 2 shops ?, in another link it mentions a shop beside Mengrai area. I can observe this one on Google maps

I am often at the market area beside the old clock tower, can you provide a link to the one beside overbrook.

Yes hes right. There are some excellent brick slip tiles usually sold at the same brick outlets.

Only 10mm thick. Ihave found though they are exactly the price as the equivalent brick.....still a lot cheaper than paviours

I went to a local granite shop and found the following the cost was 180 Baht per pack (5)

  9. Due to my lack of knowledge the wood man told me I should have made a contract when the house was new with the people that come for spray and hopefully eliminate these termites.

Before I carry out the repair work I have the boss of the termite company coming tomorrow and get the info before he sends in his people to do the needful.

These termites are everywhere when we pull up a damaged section.

  10. After waiting for ages for the wood repair guy he started today and cut out the termite eaten section. Some looks ok from the top but underneath is like powder. Now waiting for the wood shop to deliver the new replacement wood. The floor was new 17 years ago.

When you do the application it is sent to the local office for approval. They will send a email informing it has been approved. Then you can to back on the site to check the status of your application using the reference number for the report or entering your passport information and then you can print out the your next appointment date.

When entering your info on page one of application only enter the required info marked with a *. That reduces the chances of entering something incorrectly. Be sure you use the drop down menu for your nationality.

Many thanks for the detailed reply

500 Baht , although sometimes they accept $US10

Thanks for the info, I live in both Ubon and Chiang Rai and have been informed I must do my 90 day report in Ubon.

My normal rotation is 1 month x 1 month but now need to stay to observe some building work so looking at options to save the trip back to Ubon

No problem at all doing it online while in Chiang Rai since they would not know where you're at. By mail you would have to put your  Ubon address on the TM47 form and the return envelope.

    That is possible.

I have never done a report online, and have observed many people state they have an issue.

Can you point me to the website I would use for the online report, do they also confirm when your next report date is due ?

You would have to formally change your address to Chiang Rai to do your 90 day report there.

You could you 90 day report online or by mail to the office in Sirindhorn.

If this report is done online or by mail is there an issue on your location within Thailand, my residence address is for Ubon.

I was also thinking to get a re-entry permit and cross the border at Mae Sai to save me the trip back to Ubon, would this also work ?

  15. Would someone have a link to the type of pump i require with a timer included. The water storage tank is a must as the mains supply varies.

I would need to connect to the 1in tap as per the picture

All my tanks will go in a covered purpose built area when my building man gets going, but for now this is a temp set up in order to get my hedge planted.
