Just another empty threat. Not having a valid license is unlikely to stop many Thai people from driving.

how can the search and filter be corrected so i can see posts from 2022. every page i open is 2021 and there are no visible search items to show the latest topics first.....EG. i was looking for a car in the clasified section and every advertisment was over 1 year ago....or is it that there is no new news and classsifieds, its all carryover from 2021???

I'm a long time resident of this country and in Pattaya for business at the moment and i can see many foreignness milling about in Pattaya klang many of whom don't wear face masks and i'm thinking that this could be a problem if someone would see it as breaking Thailand's health rules will make an issue out of it...
the same is said for both phuket and koh samui....100% of foreigners i have seen since december 2021 refuse to use masks, yet it is the thais that always have masks on......

The one millionth 'tourist', is coming back to his wife, rather annoyed 'coz he quit smoking and now vapes, and he also can't visit his favourite bar for a drink, he also will risk skin cancer as he's not allowed to use sun-screen on his favourite beach and must wear a mask at all times. Welcome to Thailand have a nice day.

I have been here for 22 years and I am still a tourist.
ok, fair call and i stand corrected.....but you have insurance??

Yes and if he came 9 months ago, did he not "have to" have insurance then to enter using the Thailand Pass??
correct, and even if he extended his visa that would have been 6 months ago, still at the time when restrictions were tight. i was lucky on my extention, as i bought 12 months axa insurance, and bikes are not included

Yes, the first thing tourist do when they come here is let their hair down and do things that they never done before. It's sad he got into a accident but we have good doctors here as long as you don't need brain surgery.
he was not a tourist.......been here for 9 months

been here for 9 months at the height of all the travel restrictions where they were the most tightest, then to extend his visa past 90 days he would have had to prove insurance for the additional time, just done the extention and yes they asked to see coverage.
no, most insurance does not automatically cover motorcycle use, you in most cases have to do additional coverage

If these numbers are true, 'Awesome job Thailand!'
Nice to see such a fantastic improvement.
I just hope they didn't change the reporting criteria in stupid ways like only to include those fatalities that died on impact.
changed it to died before impact

What kind of music is "duff duff duff duff" ? Techno or..... ?
hard to tell cos i dont listen to techno music but the continual deep base rattles the windows and when the kids that moved into the village during covid, and their super loud car systems that are loud enough to even get the bar owners upset. the noise down here is out of controle sometimes. sounds similat to the bass tones used for tuning big car systems or cinemas

i live in the little southern community of thasala and it is perfect, no polution, good fresh sea air all the time, not much traffic and no tourists.
but i hate living here now......the duff duff duff duff <deleted> music in this area has made me hate thailand, and the stress of this <deleted> misic playing 24/7 makes it worth never returning.
so no, thailand is not a healthy place to live, kings cross in sydney was quiter than this

of corse there would have been a little scripting...the kid would not have known what to say. just a bit of extra to get the clip out into the public and get attention.
just the same as all the redcross and unicef advertising.
it got people talking and thinking didnt it!!!!
now do your part in your village....

its difficult not to know, many places have it plastered every place, and it is a fair routine, if you dont like the food then dont keep ordering it

i talked to him just few min ago, he decided to go back to his country and get a new passport and get a new non-o from there. That will finish all problems.
thanks

Good advice but the problem is he extended using old marriage papers almost 2 years. So immigration will fine him 20.000 baht and i think 1 or 2 years ban from thailand. Because he is overstay
well that is a problem, either wayhe is open to being overstay and recording, although adhoc sometimes, I have found to be accurate and a new passport will not fix this problem. as such, admiting guilt, paying the price is better than being caught at the gate.......up to you, but the system works best when it is used to your favour

for an error as simple as this, had you thought to just ask the immigration office for correction, wai and say sorry, i forgot. the truth often lands favour.

Concidering lack of flights and border closures, who are the remaining 30% of tourists.
Do they concider flights transiting swampy as tourists even though they never leave the airport?

The rules and regulations are in place to control the import and spread of Covid-19 in Thailand...not to facilitate travel to the country.
No need to point that out, that fact is very clear in my post.....however it is not thailand that are slow or overcharging for the flights. The embassy and dfat has been extreamly helpfull but they dont control australian boarderforce or the cost airlines are charging

Delaying air travel for me is not an issue as i fall into married and have child......the delay in getting home is the financial cost of getting from sydney australia to nakhon si tammarat. Having been quoted $16,500 for a 1 way flight, still waiting 2 months now for australian boarder force permission to travel, and its impossible to get a covid19 test done within 72 hours of flying.
Yes there is a cheaper flight that has a stop over in china....for australians it is a do not travel zone due to the changes in the laws............
