I filed my tax returns online as a foreigner a few years ago.

I was actually joking but so many question unanswered. For example, if I have income in Thailand and income abroad, why couldn't I gift my foreign salary to my children?

I'll just give all my salary to one of my kids then, it's under 20 million a year!

I've received valuable spiritual advice from a Rabbi here(on Skype and in person, even at his house). When I did religious tests ie what religion is most suitable for you, Judaism was no 1. I highly respect the religion. I am not going to be called a antisemite by ignorant trolls, who don't even know what it means. I am all for Religious harmony.

Thanks. My thinking: if I don't get my pension until I'm 70, the odds are I don't live for more than 10 years. I'm trying to find out how much the UK pension rises every year. Probably not enough to affect my decision to leave Thailand. I estimate after 5 years, I could be missing out on 10 pounds a week. Frankly, if I live to be 75, it's a bonus and I won't care about 10 quid a week. Same at 80, 20 quid etc.

When I was in Manila, the only food I liked was the American food like Big Mac. My point was we can get cheap, great food in Thailand for say $1, but in the Phillipines, more like $5+. So moving there to save $30 a week makes no sense at all.

I would never move to a country like the Philippines to save 30 quid a week. Also, how many years would I have to live for that? I don't get my pension until I'm 67. Try buying great food like Thailand has for 30 quid a week!

Good post. I agree. One thing I don't understand is why Israel are blocking those in Gaza from leaving. They destroyed the airport in 2001, they are blocking all the borders. Do they really plan to wipe them all out?

The longer Israel keep killing innocent civilians, including children, then the chances are we will take sides with Palestine. However, what happens in Palestine has really nothing to do with Thailand, so no need for a stance. Similarly when China invaded Tibet, the US didn't take a stance as there was no oil there it was nothing to do with them. Why do Americans in Thailand, who are obviously biased towards Israel want Thailand to take a stance?
