  1. Do they give random porof of life tests in the UK??
  2. https://www.amazon.com/Natrol-Melatonin-10Mg-Gummy-Count/dp/B079TD7HG2 I'm weaning myself off this drug. There are better options for sleep, not masking the root cause.
  3. Why do you tip a policeman doing his job?
  4. Hmm, Brits can enter the UK with an expired/no UK passport, the issue might be at the Airline check in desk going to the UK.
  5. Actually, last year I never needed to show a passport when leaving the UK. Maybe a one way flight to Thailand would just require showing Thai passport/ID.
  6. Strangely I wake up in the morning now with a very dry mouth and a horrible taste in my mouth, kina metallic. Maybe as I breath through my mouth, maybe antibiotics/omeprazole?
  7. It wasn't optional, think of it as a tax.
  8. I wonder if a dual citizen leaves the UK on their Thai passport, will the govt know they are out the country?
  9. Ah, that explains so many Thais married to Germans.
  10. Oh dear, if you hang around prostitutes, you'll know a soapy massage costs around £50. How much would you pay in the UK?
  11. State pension I'll get at 67. Chances are I live to 75, how many increases will I miss? Are there yearly increases? Surely only those living to 90 will see a difference.
  12. You can't have your cake and eat it.
  13. Leaving unions affects finances in a big way. Of Scotland leaves UK, the English will lose lots in oil revenue, and Scots will get better pensions, for example.
  14. I thought it was only youngsters my kids age that had a sense of entitlement.
  15. Stop moaning and get a part time job. I only worked in the UK for 5 years but will get the full pension if I continue to pay £160 or so a year in voluntary class B contributions. Great ROI unless I die. UK state pension is a bonus, it's all about perspective. I can build a 4 bedroom house with a pool here for under £50,000, for example. I can live in a hotel and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner in a restaurant, and a bottle of whisky daily all for £170 a week. Better than a council flat in Aberdeen, with sideways rain, wearing a wooly bunnet, eating beans on toast.
  16. I have a debit card I buy everything with in Thailand - I top it up with BTC.
  17. In Thailand nowadays you can cash bitcoin easily, P2P. I wonder if there's any way the government can keep track of cryptocurrency transactions?
  18. Good point, thanks.
  19. Maybe not. One can make a decision to do something and not do anything. Reminds me of the frog story. 3 frogs sitting on a log and one decides to jump off, how many frogs are on the log? three, as one just decided to jump off
  20. I don't care so much, what gave you that idea?
