They are blocking the uptake of flight connections not the airport itself I guess. It is not understandable that there is no connection between Hua Hin and BKK for example. They even extended the runway in HHQ. This should be a highly profitable route as the train takes 5 Hours and taxi 2.5 to 3 hours. From the outside this looks to me like the taxi problem in Phuket where incumbents feel happy the way things are.

I think there are some shenanigans going on that government is actively or passively blocking the development of HHQ and other small airports. In europe and US you have tons of small airport. Using an agent is a grey area that I do not like to enter and besides takes time as well. Will wait till december and then decide. Your passive agressive tone is not nice.

Apparently you do not even read your own posts: You stated "You are really over playing the privilege/inconvenience card. " "Stop complaining" etc. It is obvious that if you spend a lot of money in a country you should be able to do an easy borderrun from a major city such as Hua Hin. I said nothing else. But the sad facts are the facts you are right about them.

Apparently you are used to being treated badly, that is your problem not mine. If I spend several thousand EUR per month in a country I at least expect something else. BTW your post is not helpful at all with the topic of a visa run at hand so pls stop posting in this thread and annoy someone else, much obliged.

Thanks for you post! Bus to Malaysia is at least a 10 hours ride one way that is out of the question for me as I will not sit 10 hours in a minibus or car . I rather take a plane from BKK. Still hope that Hua Hin gets back a flight to Udon Thani so that I can go to Laos or HH Airport gets an international flight. Any ideas if maybe border to Kanchanaburi will be reopened? Visa run situation is a disaster for all HH residents. Thanks!

Thanks Joe! I was not aware that ALL crossings to Myanmar are closed. Train to Malaysia is 14 Hours and was not on my radar but this is even longer then flying out of BKK, so I guess I have to via BKK. My E OA visa (issued by consulate) is still valid until end of Dec 2022 for another entry, so a quick hop would suffice I understand to get another year out of the visa. My health insurance is valid for 4 more years. Is there any way to extend 45 days without a border run? I will maybe wait until end of December if they reopen the land border at least at kanchanaburi or if flights come up from HH. Another option was flying from HH to Udon Thani but apparently those flights are cancelled as well to my surprise.

I just realised how lucky I was. My doctor send me back the health certificate by mail without seeing me in person. Maybe you should have tried another doctor that does not test for stuff that does not exist in the UK/western world. Anyway good luck. I got my OA visa approved within 10 days but had to call them. I guess sometimes they wait so that the visa date is close to your flight date.

My multiple OA Visa lasts until Jan 23 and I would like to stay until March or April. 1. What is the shortest option I have travel time wise? Spending 2 times 3 Hours in the cab to BKK and flying out is not fun, at least not for me. Pls no comments on how nice travel is etc... ???? 2. Hua Hin Airport has stopped servicing internatinal destinations and is only flying to China Mai to my understanding. Correct? 3. All nearby borders border checkpoints to Myanmar (3 Pagoda and PKK) are not for foreigners. Correct? So my current guess is I have to go to Kanchanaburi. Which organisers are recommended? I understand 4 hrs one way trip. For reentry to Thailand I need the proof of health insurance and my eVisa printed out. Are any other documents needed? Can I extend the visa 45 days at immigration? I am not looking for a complete extension of stay, as I do not have a bank account in TH etc. Thanks!

Your post hits the nail on the head! Fusion is not british, instead it is a blend ???? I am German so it is either Muesli or Black Bread for breakfast, but agreed apart from bread the German kitchen is not great as well as it lacks spices. The italian indian and japanse cuisine tops the world for me. Anyway the funny thing is taste is "learned" while being a kid. The learning determines what you like to eat as well as what music you like to hear. Cheers to the british people!

I love the UK and lived in London myself. But the British have not the faintest idea what the rest of the world thinks of their food . I always have to lough if I see on Facebook what the british consider a good breakfast. No offense again I love the UK and the british people but the food is just terrible! Always have to think of the radiation green peas in the UK, no idea what you do to them...

No I did not! Where exactly is the shop located? Usually I enter from Phetkasem road.

Thanks for all the great advice! So I will get cbd oil? So this is legal in TH I understand correctly? Was not aware that edibles are not allowed for example. How can I lay my hands on some good product ideally regularly tested and free of pesticides etc. Order online I assume, any pitfalls regarding breaking the law. Would much prefer to buy cash somewhere in Hua Hin in a reliable shop . Thanks again and as I staated a complete newbie.

MJ? Weed sort? I have a mixture of joint and muscle pain though, the more I think about it I would say it is ligament pain. Cookies seem not to be very popular here.

Complete newbie looking for advice where to buy which cookies. Not trying to get high just to relieve muscle pain and trying to relax. Smoking is not for me, I would rather go for cookies. Is it safe to mail oder or where can I buy in Hua Hin. Villa Market shop has only weed to smoke. Much obliged!

Regarding capital gains. Is there actually someone using a thai based brokerage account to trade shares if yes which one? I am talking about a reputable broker and not some broker pretending to trade with CFDs and other garbage. Thanks! To be honest I am more concerned about being targeted as a rich falang by some authorities to get money out of me in case of accident etc. Lets say you live in Mexico it would come quite handy to know the maximum ransom. My gut feeling tells me the thai tax authorities will not be interessed in taxing me on my capital gains as anyway I do not transfer them to Thailand in the same year. In addition even the german tax authorities have so far not able to create much out of the CRS data flood they are receiving.

Are the requirements for the LTR Visa as a wealthy citiziens cummulative or is it enough to fulfill one criteria i.e. 1 M in assets? Price is 50K Baht for the LTR? Then indeed OA would be on a par or an even better option at around 7500 Baht at least if you do not know how long you will stay or if they close the country because of Covid 23. You can get 2 years out of 1 OA Visa. Thanks!

Tax residence certificate

Thanks a lot! My returns should be really simple as I enter a zero everywhere where one is needed as my capital income was not transfered to Thailand in the same year and I have no work permit nor have I worked in the pineapple fields ????. How long does it take to get the final results? Any chance to get the return by Mid/end of February in 2023 for 2022. Is it mailed back by email i.e. could I get while living in another country? Final questions is it possible to apply and get the tax certificate via mail/email cause in 2023 for 2022 as it is quite likely I will not be in Thailand in 23. Thanks!
