Thanks for responding. As usual we will have to wait for the full story to evolve. Depending upon his motive he may well be charged with murder or vehicular homicide later.

I did not ascribe fault. It was the decision of the police to take the easy way out by, block rather than arresting, that I was referring to.

Failure of policing once again. Instead of (unsuccessfully it seems) blocking access to the highway, the police should have gone down there with a couple of tow trucks to drag those blockading vehicles away, and with a big bus to arrest all of the trespassers.

We might have laughed or cried when Wuhan welded people into their apartments but this is no different. The high-rise housing consists of low income families and migrants. They are being held as virtual prisoners. Damned if I know how they are going to manage the variety of dietary requirements.

Sky AU is indeed right-wing [thankfully] and, yes, they sometimes go OTT, but it is the only outlet to counter the rest of the left-wing news outlets. CH7 and 9 get most of their US news clips from CNN and their US reporters are based in LA and NY, so it is no surprise that we need an alternate viewpoint. It is not mandatory to believe everything Sky says. Some of us can think for ourselves.
