You could look into taking hydroxyzine, when needed. I think that is pretty safe and easy to get for immediate relief of some symptoms.

Interesting …so she did it because you promised to help her improve the land and use her name on the land/house you wanted to buy to live in, right? But if she decides she wants to leave before 30 years, or you die, or you decide you want her to leave, she will have nothing …not even what she had when she met you?? And your little kingdom has increased along with all her hard work. Seems like your number one criteria might have been to find someone you could exploit easily??

Please note, I asked you WHY did you do that, not for confirmation that you said it. If you didn’t buy it, you don’t need to protect it. If you don’t live there and have a place where you do live, you don’t need to protect that. You have just clarified that they are lots, not buildings, and called them farms before. If a child offers you her favorite toy, do you take it? There must be a reason she felt the need to try to please you and also possibly does not understand the real meaning of what she has done. Anyway, why do you need that control??

Why would you have a usufruct on your girlfriend’s TWO properties, that you say she paid for herself, before you, as well as your house …that makes 3? Was that some negotiation …if you put her name on the place you paid for, you wanted something from her??

I really can’t stress enough how important it is to rent for maybe 3-5 years, if not forever, in order to learn about Thailand. It is very doubtful that there is any house you will find now, that you will be happy in for 30 YEARS. Things change quickly here, in ten years your location might be unrecognizable. If you rent some homes and live here for some time, you will learn for yourself. I moved every year due to problems the first 3 years. Also, you are not in a good situation to be a buyer right now. You know nothing, everybody knows you nothing, why do you think the number one question is “how long have been here?” It was so hard for me to find a good rental house the first time, even though so many “friends” wanted to help me, they all wanted to help me rent things that didn’t meet my needs, but that paid them good commission or that was owned by their family, and they would charge me 3 times normal rent. I was so depressed to keep seeing such terrible or inappropriate things. This was before the Internet had ads. I had dogs and needed certain things. I guess it is just a process, you refine your skills over time. I bought a house and by the time I did it, I was ready and I didn’t regret that house. I rented 3 houses before that. You aren’t ready!!

Maybe the French landlord does not know anyone is renting his place. Maybe the agent has rented to you off the books …??? The years I rented, I can’t tell you how many strange stories I ran into, I later figured out, 90 percent or more, due to lying commission seeking people. They will happily misdirect you for larger commissions …I always wondered after I bought a house, why anyone would bother to forward rent to me rather than just tell me “nobody has rented it yet.”

There is a poster in Chiang Mai, a long time expat, who is looking for a new dog or two. She just wrote a thread, Elena Edwards. While not ideal, it is difficult to find people for all the strays, I know, I had 8 of them! Maybe you could write her, send photos, and arrange to send her the dog??
