I have been with this bank since 1999 and I now hate it. I have told them they are now the worst bank in the world as far I am concerened. Why do they call it 'Bangkok Bank?' As it is a Chinese bank I beleive. Hate their Union Pay card.

Thailand's Tourism Soars with 20 Million Visitors in 2025
Well I went to Jomtien for a three day break and what I saw tells a different story. From my balcony I counted 5 people on the beach and I could see for quite a distance. I walked along the beach for about 1km and one part did not even have any umbrellas let alone people. Restaurants were mostly empty with just a couple of people if they were lucky. So where are these tourists going?

Yaris Cross
Hi, I am considering buying the Yaris Cross Hev Premium Luxury and would love to have any comments from the owners. Is it reliable? Are there any bad things about it? What are the plusses and minusses? Please refrain from making comments if you have never driven one or don't own one. Many thanks. 😊

Termite infestation
There is a spray you can do yourself: Taurus SC: Best Overall Active Ingredient: Fipronil Lasts For: Up to 10 years Works As Fast As: Less than three months I used a garden spray around the house and between the floorboards both upstairs and downstairs. This is what the professionals use, must have Fipronil as this sticks to the termite's legs and transfers it to the nest in turn killing the queen. Haven't had any problems since. I respray once a year just to be safe. dilutes something like 1 to 100, very effective. If you can't find this then get one with Fipronil. Here is the guide but I didn't dig a trench: Taurus SC is a highly concentrated, liquid termite killer that is applied to a trench around your house’s perimeter. For best results, dig a six-inch trench around your home’s perimeter, pour the solution in approximately every ten feet, and wait for your results. Taurus SC is a highly-effective termite killer because termites cannot detect it, so they walk over the liquid and bring the poison back to the termite colony with them. This leads to other termites being contaminated with Taurus SC and eventually eradicates the colony. It also works against wasps, ants, centipedes, roaches, and other pests as well.

Experts say lowest ever PISA score is a wakeup call for Thailand’s failing education system
As a foreign teacher in Thailand I often hear about poor teachers. I have been teaching here for 25 years and have seen many reasons why this is so. It's not always the teacher that is at fault. In many cases the teachers are dictated on what and how to teach by the people in charge that think they know better. Many of these 'dictators' have very little knowledge of what goes on in the classroom. Yes, they have a masters degree or even a doctorate degree but have never been in the classroom long enough to understand the problems. They have read books that others have written, so they know everything. Many teachers want to teach the way they have been taught but are not allowed to do so because the school want it done their way. I do not profess to have all the answers but there are so many basic things that could help to improve the life and learning of students at school. I think students have too many subjects in one day. To have 8 different subjects in one day in my opinion is at least 3 too many. Students and indeed humans in general are only capable of processing a certain amount of knowledge each time, therefore much of it is lost and not remembered. There are weak students (not poor) mixed with good students, therefore holding back the good students from more advanced learning. Schools do not (in my opinion) segregate the weak and better students. There are those students that are just bad students that are not interested to learn. I have had students that do not listen to teachers for whatever reason. In one instance I have heard a student comment that their parents said they do not need to listen to foreign teachers. I could go on but as I said, I don't have all the answers. Many may disagree with what I wrote but again it is my opinion. Unless the whole nation changes it's attitude about learning, they will never improve only go backwards. Thanks for reading. Stop blaming the teachers.
