  1. Have you looked at the Toyota Yaris Cross? I was looking at it yesterday and looks very good. I am seriously thinking about it.
  2. Why was the policeman crying? Quote: Sittupunt told the police officer in tears.
  3. Whichever party agrees to increase my pension along with the same increases they get in the UK I will vote for, otherwise they can go suck.
  4. As a foreign teacher in Thailand I often hear about poor teachers. I have been teaching here for 25 years and have seen many reasons why this is so. It's not always the teacher that is at fault. In many cases the teachers are dictated on what and how to teach by the people in charge that think they know better. Many of these 'dictators' have very little knowledge of what goes on in the classroom. Yes, they have a masters degree or even a doctorate degree but have never been in the classroom long enough to understand the problems. They have read books that others have written, so they know everything. Many teachers want to teach the way they have been taught but are not allowed to do so because the school want it done their way. I do not profess to have all the answers but there are so many basic things that could help to improve the life and learning of students at school. I think students have too many subjects in one day. To have 8 different subjects in one day in my opinion is at least 3 too many. Students and indeed humans in general are only capable of processing a certain amount of knowledge each time, therefore much of it is lost and not remembered. There are weak students (not poor) mixed with good students, therefore holding back the good students from more advanced learning. Schools do not (in my opinion) segregate the weak and better students. There are those students that are just bad students that are not interested to learn. I have had students that do not listen to teachers for whatever reason. In one instance I have heard a student comment that their parents said they do not need to listen to foreign teachers. I could go on but as I said, I don't have all the answers. Many may disagree with what I wrote but again it is my opinion. Unless the whole nation changes it's attitude about learning, they will never improve only go backwards. Thanks for reading. Stop blaming the teachers.
  5. Hi, I am interested in buying a protein meal supplement for weight loss and was wondering if anyone has used them and what results did you have. Also would like to know the brand name. Many thanks in advance.
  6. Yep! I had the same problem except I don't drink. It turned out to be gall stones and they were blocking my bile tubes. Nearly got jaundice over it. Had the bladder removed, now much better.
  7. I design and print tee shirts, mugs or anything that can be printed on basically. Or I print for others if they have a design or photo they want printing. It can be time consuming but the results are worth it. I also dabble in genealogy, but that is getting a little difficult from here (Thailand) as I am British.
  8. Just had similar problems. My Int. Hospital where I have spent loads of money refused to sign it. They just say "cannot" ask why "cannot" In the end I had to go to a local lawyer and they wanted 3,000 baht. I said I would pay 2,000 baht. I did this because I knew I would just get the run-around. So frustrating, they just do not understand there is no accountability towards them. Pathetic. On top of that DWP sent the certificate in January, I never received it. I emailed DWP as they postponed payment, and they sent another through email (this week) Just sent a completed form today. They will not accept electronic mail so have to wait for post again. So frustrating.
  9. Yes, on the top floor of the Mall Bang Khae.
  10. Well I consider myself as normal. Been here 25 years. Drink only on occasions, married, 1 son, 72 years old and still working (legally). Is that normal or abnormal?
  11. Darn it, you beat me to it. Free alcohol. Oh! but I don't drink.
  12. Not Thailand but one time I asked my delivery driver to be in bright and early. Well, he called me and told me he was in Brighton early and what he should do. I told him to get back as soon as he could hahaaaa!
  13. A bit further. I ordered through AliExpress. Item was for 2 pieces at 600bht. Received and paid, opened the package only 1 item. Tried contacting the seller, no response, tried Ali, they said send it back. Yeh sure, send the one back to a company that does not respond, I will settle for the one I have in hand. Ali don't want to know. Useless pieces of dirt. Ordered from Ali again, different item, ordered in September, had to pay first, no COD available. Item never received, Tracking showed delivered. Asked for POD, they do not respond. Told Ali, they say item already delivered, nothing they can do. Contacted the seller, item delivered, not interested, still no reply from shipper (YOUSUN) still an on going thing. Going nowhere. Never will pay for anything in advance again and will always check delivery before paying. Bunch of thieves who don't care about the buyer.
