People die crossing the road regularly on Samui, it's <deleted> dangerous. This incident is unfortunate but not unusual.

If you ride, ride cautiously if you value your life.

I ride a bike and have done for 25 years but much slower on Samui, with my hand on the back brake so by reaction I hit that first.

Was at BigC in Chaweng today and noticed that they have a small Seiko and Citizen counter. It is up the escalator on the right hand side if looking at the building from the main road.

In court the RTP testified that they did not investigate the rumour of altercation, therefore they cannot have requested information from the NCA about the altercation. 

We know the NCA passed information to the RTP about an alleged altercation, taking into account the RTP court testimony that they did not investigate, then this information can only have been iniated by the NCA , and we are left with the conclusion the NCA information must have come from somebody with knowledge of the altercation.

I pretty sure that the RTP wouldn't have admitted to any of this in court unless you can prove otherwise. The NCA stuff has only recently come to light.

Equally as important, you've failed to mention the recommendation of a DNA test of a potential suspect that was again ignored by the RTP.

We all do know now that there was an altercation in AC Bar and that was the last place anyone (in testimonies and evidence so far) saw David and Hannah alive.

You are right. There was a hair in Hannah's hand when she was found that wasn't examined or tested by the RTP. Why was that?

It wasn't bullsh***t it was the truth but the evidence had been destroyed. It was more to do with infamous Thai laws than the truth.

That is quite possible, the CTV of the early morning ferry was ignored by the investigators and was deleted by someone.

As I recall he was unlocatable  for a few days after the murders , and then three days later he shows up in BKK with CCTV footage showing that he was in BKK all along .

In an earlier post I said a case of Leo beer big bottles at the Lotus I use was Bt588 before the new rate and a few days after the new rate the price was Bt584...went down 4 baht.  However I noticed a few days later that their stock of beer on the store shelves was really low or Leo and Chang cases....I mean like I had never seen it this low....almost out of stock...no normal at all for this Lotus store....but the price was still Bt584 for a Leo case. 

 

Now I haven't been back to since to see if they have restocked and check the latest prices....maybe I'll go tomorrow out of curiosity .

 

 

Leo large bottles have gone up to 650THB/box in our local Tesco Lotus Express.

On the last religious day we went to the Temple in Bangrak on Koh Samui with our 'offerings'. We were not welcomed nor our visit appreciated by the 2 'monks' residing there. TBH they looked more like Thai gangsters in an orange robe.

I took the ferry from Donsak on the mainland to Samui last week and saw one fish during the whole crossing, many more plastic bags and plastic bottles.

On the same day I also took the ferry from the Andaman Club, Malaysia to the Ranong Pier, thousands of fish and no plastic bags!

No they weren't over the line. They were actually doing what they should be doing, stopping and waiting for oncoming traffic to pass before turning. The rider behind was riding like an idiot pulling out when they had no clear view of the road and caused the accident. End of.

From my experience if you have a booking they will make you wait until your booking time even if you arrive early .... unless they are not so busy. I have seen people drive up and buy a ticket on arrival that have got onto a ferry in front of us despite us booking in advance. Having said that we have always got on at least at our booked ferry although at the odd occasion it may have been delayed/late.

There is a UK telephone box on my street, although it looks like a bit of an imitation. PM me for details.

Power cut at the weekend for 2 hours overnight and at BigC when we visited the other day.

Today we had an all day outage, presumably for works or tree cutting. Not notified by the owner who doesn't seem to give a hoot about his residents but fortunately by our local laundry shop.
