Watching the video again, I can only say that the rider was driving dangerously and without regard for other road users regardless of their nationality.
An experienced and qualified rider would never ride that close to the back of a car then pull out in the way they did when they hit the stationary bike turning right.

I agree it is not nice to call people names, but the post is correct, you do want to post on almost every new topic and contribute 'something' 'early on'. Possibly to get more 'likes'.
As per the original post the guys caught aren't the main operators and the army/police should be following the money.
Completely irrelevant post by The manic?

A simple question.
Just how difficult could it be for the Thai police and military assigned to these operations, to surreptitiously follow these suspects until they reach their final destination?
Can they not do covert operations using unmarked vehicles and plain clothes officers that are not obviously cops or soldiers?

I posted this reply: Are you sure about that or is it 99.3% in the UK?
We also need to ask ourselves why the 'refugees' from Syria etc. are all male?

Maybe a reaction to the 'Super Poll':

Of course it is a 'Super Poll', normally no one is allowed to express their opinion.

From a Samui perspective the tourist numbers may be incorrect but the revenue figures may be correct based on the amount of tourists that can't ride a bike so will have inevitably ended up in an accident, paying for extortionate bike damages and extortionate hospital bills.

Would you have a girlfriend in the UK as good as your Thai GF? (pick your own criteria).
Which one...the liar, the cheat, the backstabber or the thief?
Are we talking UK or Thai here?

Oh do keep up Lobster, many many old people are entitled to something like 600 baht a month pension plus the 30 baht medical stuff
19 minutes ago, Golden Triangle said:That's because they want the locals to keep killing themselves, a whole lot cheaper if they die early, no pension or any other benefits, the junta are smart, be like the junta
So they want the locals to kill themselves to save the 600THB/month pension for the many, many people?
I can't see how it helps with the 'medical stuff' either as the alcohol consumers/alcoholics are more likely to require hospital treatment until they pass away.

Didn't realise that there was a pension and benefits in Thailand (for anyone). Please point me in the right direction to find them.

Why is everyone overworking their brains trying to work out the increases? It's already published and reported more than once on this forum. 50 satang on a can of beer, 2 baht 66 on a bottle etc etc
Seems about right but there are small and big cans/bottles so double it for a big one

This is not based on any rational math, this is voodoo...

Last year in preparation for a 'Tesco Finest etc. Thailand PR Spectacle' there were big stocks of Tesco Finest Foods and Tesco 'farang' goods stalls put out in stores.
There is virtually nothing left from the 2016 range now and the Tesco Lotus Chaweng superstore looks more like it is shutting down than being 'open for business'.

I was at the border with Myanmar last weekend and shocked to see the duty free price of Marlboro cigarettes - 72 THB/packet, at least 50THB less than in Thailand. The current and future tax in Thailand is aimed at tourists/farangs who the government still expect to come to Thailand or live in Thailand to provide one of their major sources of money.

I have a Seiko watch I like so much, so I keep it going. I used Central department store, inside Central Festival in Chaweng, they have a watch department (ground floor). Go to the Seiko counter, and they will gladly help you. I had a self-winding anchor replaced in my Seiko watch for a modest fee (think to remember something around 600 baht); they send the watch to Bangkok, and less than a week later they called and said I could pick-up my watch – has worked perfect so far for around another two years...
Thank you khunPer, do you know if they have a Citizen counter?
-
I did a visa run last week and bought Marlboro at 72THB/packet. So in Thailand currently there is already 50+THB tax which will be much more than 80+THB tax then as these guys tend to target 'farang' brands for the highest tax rates and less for the brands that the Thais smoke.

Sorry. I meant to add that I anticipate a rapid closure of this topic in order to avoid other awkward questions.

Agreed she is not. Apparently she 'disappeared' before the verdict so didn't appear in court. She isn't stupid.
The lie is that they are both killers, but propaganda is an amazing thing.

Yes, something Tesco not known for its regular restocking.... months and months sometimes, that's why Big C has recently become my first choice, to shop... especially in the last few months, since the new ownership.
The range and stocks of 'finest' and other imported 'farang' foods are now dwindling at Tesco Lotus Chaweng. Also it appears that they are gradually clearing everything out. The goods shelves at the checkouts were missing yesterday. I'm wondering what the hell is going on?
Meanwhile the Big C range seems to grow every week but not so much of what I'm looking to buy but better than nothing.
