Thai Government Plans to Establish Clean Drinking Tap Water
rovinman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I remember some 60 years ago { Yes I am that old }, being taken around our local Sewage works in the UK, {Family friend}, We finally got to the Outfall, which would then discharge into this local Brook, ! The Manager, dips a Clean glass into the water, and takes a drink ! There you are he said "only 9 parts per Million suspended solids, and we just throw it away !" It was discharging into a Red, Green, Blue, Discharge from a nearby factory ! A clear patch of water in the midst of this Techniclour stream ! If the UK could do that 60 years ago, why can't the Authorities here perform the same ? There are SO Many more modern methods of perfecting the drinking water ! -
Thailand smog sparks outcry, public anticipation for clean air act grows

Didn't King Canute { Cnut, Britain 1016 AD }, try a similar thing, trying to order back the sea ? Didn't work then did it ? NO Statement / Law, EVER works unless there is Enforcement, to go along with it ! Thailand is looking more like China every day ! -
Oh Yeah ? They are Security / Surveillance / Spies, answerable ONLY to Beijing ! With No respect for Thailand Sovereignty ! Everything gets reported back to Beijing, And when Thailand gets upset, China will Bluster and THREATEN Thailand of more "serious consequences"" Is there a ""RECIPROCAL"" agreement to allow Thai Police to patrol the streets of Beijung ? No ! I didn't think so !

Court Sets Up Fact-Finding Panel Over Grey Senator Getting Off The Hook
rovinman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The Criminal Court judge in question had reportedly excused that he had revoked the arrest warrant requested by the police and issued by him on the same day last October for the senator whom he had finally deemed as a “very important person.” I take it that there is NO, recognition of the term, "Without fear or Favour", here ? -

Thailand Acquires Wooden Buddha Statues from Australia
rovinman replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The statues were donated by Murray Upton, who informed the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra that he had inherited them from his father, who had them in possession since 1911. What he didn't say that they were acquired from somewhere on Sukhumvit Rd. -

Thai police to overhaul service pistol management and gun welfare scheme
rovinman replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
"GUN Welfare" ? Is this a Soi Dogs proramme ? Where the Sterilise the strays ? So they need to sterilise the "pet" guns of the Owners, by making them incapable of firing, then they can look after their cherished pets in complete safety ! -
Very Sad to see this kind of cruelty. The problem is though, the moment that he gets released, "into the wild" as it is, he will be dead within a very short time. Either by the "other gorillas" rejecting / killing him, OR, by him seeking the only company, that he has known for 30 years, and similarly dying as a result. Jane Goodall showed this, when a young gorilla's mother died, and shortly after the young gorilla died of a broken heart ! There is NO satisfactory solution to this problem ! Only constant human supervision/care, within a carefully controlled gorilla group, MAY have some possibility of success.

It's ALWAYS amazed me, that EV Charging stations are located separately from regular petrol stations ! They SHOULD be located at exactly the same place ! Seems obvious to me that if you need service, then you go to a service station. In fact the Petrol companies should set various ones up, on their forecourts that will shortly be empty, which of course they won't be, (until 2035 ?). Then we will still have the eateries, that we are getting more and more !

Beware the takeover of parts of Thailand that were originally part of Russia !
-
There's only one way this war will end, and that is when Russia leaves Ukraine entirely. Ukraine WILL NEVER accept part of their sovereign country being annexed by Russia, or any other country. If Russia doesn't leave, then be prepared for the next 100 years war ! Putin WILL be deposed, by the people. Kaderov will be deposed by Chechnya. All the neighbouring states, Moldova, etc. will seek independance, and possible entry to the EU. it's going to be a whole new world !

Suspended PM insists his term in office has not yet expired
rovinman replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
"he claims that his first term, under the Interim 2014 Constitution (B.E. 2557) expired along with the replacement of the interim charter by the 2017 Constitution." Surely therefore, he served his First term, which then expired. And the second term of 4 years began in 2017 ! Therefore, that second term of 4 years, should expire in 2021 ? Or is my Maths, not up to it ?
