The oldies are coming over soon and we will drive around the north. Want 3-4 nights somewhere in Chiang Rai or Golden Triangle area.
Have looked at places on the main hotel booking sites and there doesnt seem to be a great deal of choice for somewhere 4 star, stylish, but not a huge resort and not super luxury. Around the 3000 Baht a night per room bracket is fine.
Any recommendations for places that arent listed on Agoda, Wotif, Asiatravel etc
Thanks

Anyone else like to recommend their friends places
Mate just came back from Koh Mak - very quiet there now. Easy to find rooms on the beach or at any resort. Not sure about Koh Chang though.

Whatever your choice of career, you need to be a real mans man if you are exploring dark and sometimes off putting alleyways.
At the end of the day this definitely isnt a job for pussies.

This being Thaivisa you will now probably get a few negative posts from guys complaining about how annoying it is to have people like you lot banging on their backdoors at all hours of the day & night.
Then others complaining about the health and safety aspect of allowing large loads to be deposited out of site without first checking the quality of the goods.

When male models get into trouble in clubs I always wonder what Derek Zoolander would do in a similar situation

Why would the govt be pushing the CAT to do a deal with True?
The PM is Abhisit, Abhisit's father is a Director of CP group, CP own True. That was easy.
Where did you get this information, do you have any reference or did your Thai wife tell you... so it must be true.?
Next you will be telling me that you didn't know that the CP Chairman's son in law, who wasn't a politician previously, was given a Cabinet post when the Dems took power.
Maybe your wife can fill you in with the details or teach you how to use Google.

Somebody might know about the situation around Hat Lek or Koh Kong ?
I have to go there next week ...
I was there yesterday and it was fine. Quiet, no different from normal. Nothing out of the ordinary at all. No more soldiers, nothing like that.

Hat Lek border business as usual - saw a couple of Thai soldiers helping some Cambodian traders push their carts over the border onto the Thai side this morning. Smiles all round.

The Canadian lawyer in question got a 60 day single entry visa - which should be good enough for most people. She is in Thailand now. She is one of these people who flies in when there is trouble in Bangkok or a border area and tweets and take pics to show her followers.

So when does the guy in the second video get to 160kmph. The speedo shows 115 at one point and then he is overtaken by a Triton carrying half a dozen people in the back.
Whoop di whoo - he almost did 80mph on a sports bike.

I would just try starting it, if it goes then great. If it doesn't, then change stuff.
( Maybe I've been here too long.)

When we thought about it, we wondered why isn’t there a standard docking connector for Android devices?
Could it be that Android devices are made by more than one company.

an evaluation will be conducted throughout the first month of closure to see whether there are signs of coral recovery and whether the closure should be short- or long-term.
i.e. if boat companies and tourist organisations want the dive sites open quickly then maybe a donation to the powers that be is in order.

Big bungalows at KC Grande are your only real option if you want to be on White Sand beach. Otherwise try Paradise Resort in klong Prao.

I think we need lots of pictures to help us really understand the issue at hand here - lol
Excellent idea!
Nice to see a thread on TV for the old pervs once in a while.

I've got two step daughters. I'm setting the bar at 1mil each. It keeps the neighbor boys away. Paid 60000 for mom so I will net a bit over 1.9 mil.
Sounds like a reasonable tradition from where I'm setting.
When they are 18, post some pics and auction them off to TV members. Contact Thaivisa marketing for more info

The one-bedroom building will provide both tourists and expats with a place to stay in case of an emergency.
Should be cosy

The admission fee was Bt400 per person but corrupt officials offered a 30-per-cent discount if operators did not ask for receipts.
Looks like the tour operators are making nice money from the scam as I am pretty sure none of the 30% discount will be passed on to tourists.

Coffee club Royal Garden Plaza, Corner bar soi 6, sportsman soi 13
There's definitely none in Carrefour Food Court, I'm in there every Saturday and check.
Bit of a sad way to spend your weekends, try to get out more. Or perhaps find another hobby.

Thanks guys, The Legend is Plan B, seems a bit nicer than the Dusit that looks a bit faded. But both a bit pricey. Siam Triangle looks good - hadnt noticed that before.
