They are your kids also, you don't need their mothers permission to take them anywhere. Do the kids have your name and dual nationality?
Brigante7.
If you are not married and you didn't apply for shared custody you have nothing.
https://www.siam-legal.com/legal_services/Child-Custody-in-Thailand.php
And taking away the child from the person who have sole custody ( unmarried mother) is a crime which can be punished by law. Your name on the birth certificate gives you no rights at all.

When I visited Germany with my son( 1.5 years old) we organized a letter from the Amphoe that stated that I have the permission of the mother to travel to Germany with our son. On top I had court papers to show that we have shared custody. The Thai Immigration wanted to see the letter from the Amphoe and the German Immigration wanted to see a translation of the court papers.

I have a son with my Thai national GF. We were/are not married. I am identified as the father on my son's Thai birth certificate as well as the birth abroad document from the US Consulate.
In order to be recognized as the legitimate father under Thai law I had to also register as the father at the local Amphur. Amphur required the GF's approval as well as two witnesses, one plus the village headman, confirmed I was the father. Still not sure how either were positive I was the father.
Research what (hanuman2543) stated regarding child's age. This may/will determine whether you go only to the Amphur or to the Court.
Again, the US consulate had only a few questions. The man simply asked the GF if she was sure that I was the child's father and asked me the same question. Both answered yes and he directed us to the pay window.
My son has dual citizenship and passports from Thailand and the US.
How/why did you get recorded as the father on the birth certificate and then the mothers family name recorded as the Childs legal name?
It is the same with my son. He has the family name of my GF and I am the father on the birth certificate. Normally the hospital is informing the authorities and doing the paper work. My stepson had the family name of his father from birth till the day my GF changed it at the Amphoe. My experience in Thailand is that a name change is really easy so nothing to worry.

Im confused by all of this as I do know of Thai women who have children with a forefinger and simply stated the father's name on the birth certificate at the hospital with the family name of the father then registered the birth at the AMPOR without being married the children are dual citizens and have passports for both countries.
This isn't true. If you are not married and the child is under 7 years you have to approach the Family court to gain parental rights. I did that when my son was born. What Nino3 wrote is correct.
And btw I have full parental rights like the mother.
And for dual citizenship. My government(German) insisted of going through the Family Court route before granting dual citizenship for my son.

For indicas and hybrids depending on what size you want and what traits the strain have , but lets say you want a 5 feet tall sativa dominant hybrid, that would need about 1 month of veg time and then 9-11 weeks of flower. This means you would harvest the plants around 3-4 months after planting. It would be even faster in Thailand because it would start to flower earlier if you grow it outside since we only have 10-13 hours of daylight.
A pure indica or a indica dominant hybrid would be even faster since the flowering times for most of them is 7-9 weeks depending on the strain. That would mean that you would be able to harvest around 3 months after planting.
Then we have autoflowering hybrids, these are even faster. However you would have to use additional lights because these need longer hours of sunlight than Thailand can provide so they would end up pretty small.
However, pure equatorial sativas(like in thailand and laos) can take up to 200 days of flowering to be fully finished, this is because they re-veg and flower at the same time.
What you wrote is true if you have access to artificial lighting, a greenhouse and a proper seedbank which in Thailand isn't the case. You kindly forgot the time which is needed to dry and cure the cannabis to make it smokeable. If you grow outside in Thailand because of the weather( rainy season) you can have only one harvest. Fact is if you use a Thai sativa strain you need at least 6 months to make a proper product. My point is that if they will only allow the production and consumption of CBD Hemp than very quick people will try to make a quick buck by turning CBD oil into THC oil with the method I mentioned in my OP or use one of the other available methods.

Who would go through all that when you can put a seed in a pot lol.
If you can wait at least 6 months and nobody steals your harvest.

It is only a question of time until clever people here will come up with this method or several others to change the CBD I to THC. Easy and cheap:

Maybe you should complain here. Even in Thailand a doctor cannot send away someone in pain. I complained about 2 lawyers with the " Lawyer's Council of Thailand" and both were punished/ had to compensate me:

Meanwhile my little tiny state I live in 1/2 the year called Massachusetts just announced they sold 1.65billion $$$ in marijuana/ products in 2021! Over 20,000 new jobs created! Thailand who loves $$$ will never ever do it right. Unfortunately I feel the Netherlands has never done it right either. I've never understood that.
Cannabis isn't and never was legal in Nl, it is only decriminalised for personal use. Recreational consumption is tolerated and it is available in "coffeeshops".

Issan is 60% of the Thai population, so hardly surprising there's so many around.
From Wikipedia:
Isan's total population as of 2010 was 21,305,000. Forty percent of the population is concentrated in the provinces of Khorat, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, and Khon Kaen, known as "big four of Isan"
To me it looks more like 30%.

If you are sued by them it is possible that the court will not allow that you leave Thailand. Keep in mind that the whole case can last quite long and there is always the possibility of an appeal to a higher court.
Remember a case of 2 foreigners who have to stay here around 5 years because of damage in a condo they rented.

No, I do not "stand corrected". The subject of my comments was personal items purchased online, or sent from overseas, such as a laptop, via a courier company, being incorrectly assessed for import duty. Your links do not relate to my comments.
Your typical lousy excuse when somebody proofs you wrong. You are making things up nothing more and you can't admit when you are wrong. The OP got the laptop sent to him by his employer. How is that importing personal items? Last time when I wrote about importing my dog sent from overseas you said the same. Are you covered in teflon?

As you "suspect it's a racket", is it safe to assume that you've got something to back up your suspicions?
Here you go:
And here:

And if you Google "Thai customs bribery" you can find many more examples.
You stand corrected.

I was a volunteer and a veteran of some 25 years in the UK RAF as I see it there is no obligation to their country to do national service. In fact there is no need for a bloated Thai military with minimal overseas commitment and there is no reason for national service.
Thailand has no real enemies in SEA and I doubt that they have the ability to attack any of their neighbours. From what I have read and seen here in Thailand over the past 20 odd years is that the Thai military, if in a real war fighting a real enemy, they would lose.
If you want an example, just look at the southern region where there has been a guerilla war for decades and the army still haven't won yet.
Not so long ago they lost against Laos:

"How could he have done it himself?"
By asking the vendor to state a false value would be one way. By agreeing to the vendor's suggestion would be another. No need to travel to China, for God's sake. There's absolutely no reason for the vendor to do it without collusion from the OP.
The discussion is about Customs action and duty rates/VAT where all charges are laid out in detail (and can be queried) in connection with postal/couriered items with falsely declared values, nothing else. An entirely different subject to bringing a dog here.
This is just pure speculation from your side. The OP stated very clear that the vendor did it and nowhere is written that the vendor suggested it and he agreed
What about the other examples apart from importing a dog?
Only picking what fits your agenda isn't a proper discussion.
And my experience with importing a dog illustrate that Thai customs make some rules as they see fit. Have you ever been to a Thai customs office. What do you think are all the normal people doing there approaching you to help with the formalities for a fee.
I can't help myself but you sound like you are working for TAT?

Incidentally, why would any vendor (illegally) understate the value of the items unilaterally, i.e. without the buyers input? That makes no sense?
How could he have done it himself? Travel to China and send the package himself? Don't know why the vendor did it? Maybe want to stay under the radar? In any case the OP did nothing wrong.
And I can tell you from personal experience that the Thai customs is a law to themselves ( brought my dog with me, had all paperwork and the info from the Thai Embassy was that there is nothing to pay. I had to pay 15,000 Baht under the table to get the dog out of custom. I was there when a couple wanted to import a container of household goods which is tax free for Thais returning from abroad. They charged a " fee" of 40,000 Baht).
I confirmed only that you didn't read proper and falsely accused the OP of wrongdoing.
And maybe you want to read up on the subject why Toyota went to court and the SEC in the US. It has something to do with Thai customs not honouring the Japanese/Thai free trade agreement about importing tax free parts for cars.
