  2. Due to her warmth, good looks and charm, Yingluk was, and no doubt still, remains popular upcountry, but I wonder whether she's ambitious enough to want to be PM again. Plus her lack of political experience, poor English and geography skills would mean more criticism on social media. I'd expect Pheu Thai to use her more for boosting their image, campaigning during election time, etc But she may prefer a private life, after all Tony owes her a lot.
  3. What a load of tosh. Thai- Israel government contracts for Thai labour have existed for years. For a long time, decades, it's been a legal way for working class Thais to earn enough money to build a house, etc back home. Many stay for years, sending money home every month. Comments like som nam na betray posters' ignorance and worse.

  9. Netanayu supporting Hamas . In 2019, Mr Netanyahu told colleagues in his ruling Likud party: "Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas… This is part of our strategy - to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank." Keeping Hamas strong enough to be an effective rival to Fatah - its West Bank rival - would prevent the possibility of a "unified Palestinian leadership with whom you would have to negotiate some kind of final settlement", says Khaled Elgindy, senior fellow on Palestine.
