The guy in the light blue shirt can be seen on many pics. Who is he ?? Seems the two boys are scared of him.
Could he be the interpreter ??

Thanks for this forum I didn't know there is a Thai rolling tobacco! Hope there are better than Krong tip
The best known Thai rolling tobacco is probably Asia Gold. It's OK, but quite strong. Price has gone up from 150 to 190 now.

if you want the 5 bath tobacco you need to have a look at the small mom and pop shops. Menthol or normal in a small plastic zip-lock back ( terrible to smoke )
The one I like is called Premium. It is similar to Samson or Drum Mild, but costs only 35 Baht. Excellent quality.
For the 5 Baht one, I agree it's awful.

I'm thinking of buying one of the condos in One Plus Condo (3 Buildings) in Chiang Mai Business Park (behind BigC extra). Internet is provided by the condo and is included in the maintenance payments. Owners are not allowed to set up his/her own connection.
Can anyone who is living there advise me about internet speed & reliability. Cheers.

There is a liquor shop at the Chang Klan Rd night-bazaar almost opposite the Dusit D2 Hotel.
My favorite is Asia Gold 190.-THB per pack.
Look for the big red sign above the shop , Johnnie walker or Smirnoff , can not remember
Good luck
Thanks, been there already. They havn't got what I'm looking for. Seems that the shop on Moomuang has a monopoly on this tobacco.

Which post office is the main post office? The one on Charoen Muang?
That's the one.

Public transport in Thailand is dangerous. Not only for women.

It's a bit of a drive, but Tuesday mornings there is a large market in Chiang Dao (until the turn of the new year) right on the main road. There is a man there who sells kilo bricks of Thai tobacco. The market is very interesting to visit as most of the shoppers are from the various Hill tribes in the area, and the mix of the different costumes makes for a delightful morning's excursion. Closer to home, inside Warrarote Market, there is a table selling tobacco as well as beetle nut packets.
Thanks for that, a bit out of way indeed. Will have a look when in the area.
Where in Warorot is it ?? First or second block from the river ?

Any other places ??

I don't know where to tobacco shop is. I can only help you find the Duncan Donuts. But rakchiangmai says that it is at that intersection.
Thanks Julie !!
-
The Duncan Donuts is past Nimmen. It's on the south-west side of the Canal Road.
So its on huay Keow past canal road and DDonuts ??
-
The booze/beer/ liquor shop on the phucome intersection sells most tobacco products near dunkin donuts on huay kaew road .
Thanks, is that on Huay Kaew before you get to Nimmanhemin Rd. ??

I am looking for THAI rolling tobacco, not the imported ones.

Does anyone know a shop that sells cigarettes and thai rolling tobacco, etc., other than the one on Moonmuang road close to MadDog?
-
Well ... if he's got lots of money, Thailand is a good place for a criminal to live.
Unfortunately it is.

That's the way to attract quality tourists. I bet the plastic surgery business will take a hard hit from this.
All in line with a non existing road/rail safety. Banning sales of alcoholic beverages at railway stations and fuel stops is not a solution.

We want the truth!!
Until then... BOYCOT KOH TAO!
An interesting idea. Boycot the island. That would bring prices down and change the locals attitude towards people who visit and spend money there......if it only will last long enough.

Priceless !!

Quality service and safety all in line with the quality tourist.
-
So why do they continue to throw things out of their car windows, dump crap in the klongs, pour cooking oil into the drains.....etc
Good question.
