This article reminded me of visiting rural areas in Ireland almost 40 years ago. Middle of nowhere up on a hillside stood villas that wouldn't look out of place in Puerto Banus or Sotogrande in Spain, and their roadside entrances were built like the ones we saw on tv when watching Dallas at the entrance to Ewing's Southfork Ranch. I asked ChatGPT In the 1980s, the people building fancy villas in rural Ireland on remote farmland were often: 1. Returning Emigrants – Many Irish people who had emigrated to the UK, US, or Australia in the 1950s–70s returned home with money saved, wanting to build large, modern homes. 2. Successful Businesspeople & Farmers – Some local farmers or business owners, particularly those involved in construction, transport, or cattle trading, invested in big houses as a status symbol. 3. Developers & Speculators – A few wealthy individuals built large homes as part of early rural property speculation, though this was more common in the 1990s. 4. New Professionals – The 1980s saw some doctors, solicitors, and other professionals choosing scenic rural locations for large homes, though this became more common in the Celtic Tiger era (1990s–2000s). At the time, these houses often stood out as extravagant compared to traditional Irish cottages and farmhouses. Some were built with styles inspired by homes seen abroad, featuring large bay windows, brick or stucco exteriors, and extensive driveways.

My understanding was that the red bull car was brught in in 2010 for a show. https://www.autoevolution.com/news/webber-does-red-bull-showdown-for-thai-king-28558.html Then this F1 race for Thailand all of a sudden came up very soon after a certain Red Bull heir had more than just a regular run in with a policeman, that may have involved a Ferrari on 3rd Sept 2012. At the time it was rumoured that bringing an F1 race to the country, which would have been looked upon as such a great gift to the country that there could be 100% immunity for a young family member, without that young family member having to go into self exile (aka going on the run) -
I wonder what percentage of the components of the "Scania bus" were actually genuinely Scania? So often it's only the badge

Go for the Mankini as it's bound to work out cheaper than a leotard, given the fabric cost has to be minimal in comparison, although to be frank you may need to use more sunblock which may offset any potential cost savings over the leotard

Please correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Australia using dollars and cents? If so why do you convert that to penny's in order to watch them? Just curious 🤔

Seems like you spend more than necessary on buying 100' of t-shirts, have you tried comparing the cost of laundering t-shirts versus the cost of buying a new one each time you've worn one?

From memory, back in the height of HIV/AIDS in Thailand, there was an effort made to have wife's/partners join their long distance driving husband in the cab of their trucks in order to avert the perceived impending disaster. This article touches on it and indeed the case of Saraburi. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9010509/

If you left Thailand without a Re-entry permit in your passport, then the departure stamp in that passport is effectively cancelling the visa/extension in your passport. -
