  1. If they break their promise they don't have to worry. They can just go give a temple some money and food and make merit and all is forgiven. Just ask YL. She has done it many times

They don't have to worry anyway because with the amnesty they gave themselves, anything they do is not considered wrong or ilegal. They can't be judged or prosecuted.

    Yingluk's amnesty wasn't passed.

Yes I know that, but the amnesty for Prayuth and his group was. It deemed the coup legal and anything they did during the coup and time in office will be legal and they can never ever be charged or judged.

  3. All these comments because of a silly news article and people twist and turn it into something unreal.

There is often a follow up story which usually contradicts or makes sense of the original article. Here is an update on TV ---

" The prime minister then turned his gun on wellknown astrologer Warin Buaviratlert who earlier predicted that the prime minister might have to stay longer in the office beyond the timeline set in the roadmap. He insisted he would stick to the roadmap and had no intention whatsoever to stay longer. He said there was no need for him to follow every forecast of an astrologer ...."

Now, how true are some of the members' earlier posts?

yea like he insisted that there would be no coup and he won't be P.M along with his other long list of lies. The man has absolutely no credibility left if he ever had any. I think I will go along with other members than a compulsive liar.
  4. I thought it was illegal for the government to promote themselves through radio and television.

Could someone explain to why pug nose had to step down because of the cooking programme .

    Isn't this the same.

    Can somebody enlighten me please.

Prayuth and his crew gave themselves amnesty and nothing they do whilst in control can be deemed ilegal.

  5. What exactly have they done apart from the coup, banning orgies, happy endings, selfies, mini skirts, bikinis unless your fat and ugly and introduced Artical 44 along with threats to execute people.

This is exactly what they have done----- NOTHING ----- this is what you want to hear ??? problem is you are not interested in whatever improvements are made........picking out the above examples you posted are ridiculous.

Quote " threats to execute people" you are a person living here (or not) are amongst the type of people that need shutting up. IF your posts are balanced you would gain respect.

NO I am not in favour of all that is or has been done so far BUT it is better than Thailands money being thrown into PTP etc pockets, and at least IF you care to listen and look around you may be able to see some real improvements, but I have a good idea you are not interested.

Most of his posts mention 'execution' - it is a fixation.

AND he does not live in Thailand, he lives in Australia.

Really, damn Australia is so much like Thailand these days. When exactly did I return to Australia to live? You know more about me than I do.

Watch the programs and you can find out! Maybe Mrs Chooka can translate for you.

No doubt they will be as riveting as the party political broadcasts in the UK and as informative as Yingluck telling everyone prices weren't going up, only in your imagination.

All ready asked the missus and unfortunately she couldn't name a single thing, her answer was they do nothing for the people. She comes from Chai Nat and not Isaan

She's watched these planned shows already - wow. impressive.

And did you ask her what the PTP or previous Thaksin controlled parties did for the people?

I didn't realise we actually had to wait for the shows to find out what he has done. Are his achievements closely guarded secrets for television ratings?

No didn't ask her what Thaksin did as she hates the guy with a passion and didn't want to get her started. I didn't ask her what the government of 1984 did either as I didn't think it was relevant. I seriously thought the shows were about Prayuth's achievements and not the achievements of governments throughout Thai history.

  8. Wasting Australian tax payers money on his training when he is going to resign his commission at the end. What is the point and why not spend this money on another young aussie officer who is in it for the long haul. No time for these royals as they are a waste of money and past thier use by date.

So you're telling me that in your final year of service you stopped attending or partaking in any training or seminars? You were so righteous that you didn't want to waste taxpayers money that could have been used for new officers? If so, I salute you sir. BTW 10 years is not exactly a 'short stint' in any career.
This is nothing more than a royal PR stunt underwritten by the government les by our bunyip aristocratic loving pro monarchist PM.

Not denying Harry's commitment and service, but being in oz in this capacity and what he represents is archaic.

Then I suggest you recall the Australian military personnel serving in the Canadian and UK armed forces as there are a large number who are on exchange. You are probably unaware of just how extensive the deployment of Australians to the US, UK and Canadian militaries (and vice versa) is.

    Don't believe me? Here's an example: http://news.defence.gov.au/stories/2015/02/combined-task-force-150-overall-story/

You are not alone in not appreciating the extensive integration. Most Americans are not even aware of the presence of a permanent RN officer onboard some of their ships or that the deputy commanding officer of he US Army III corps has been a Canadian general for many years with several other deputy commanding positions of US forces held by Canadian military officers. The Australians have been providing naval officers to the RCN and RN for some time. In Canada alone there are hundreds of exchanges with the Australian military over any given period.

There are two valid reasons for the exchange:

    - Harry is most likely going to be in the military or a military role for some time. As a veteran of active service during 2 deployments in Afghanistan, he will be serving with Australian veterans of Afghanistan and engaged in training members of specialized units, passing on his own experience and knowledge. This in itself is not unusual as multiple Australians are in the Canadian and US forces doing the same. He will also be serving with the aboriginal infantry regiment (NORFORCE). Parts of Australia's outback where the regiment is deployed has terrain similar to Afghanistan. His presence is a morale booster to regiment that is sometimes neglected, He wanted the assignment as it offered him something in line with his working in difficult places.

    - There are a number of important commemorative events on the calendar, and having someone on hand to represent the UK, is an effective way of sending a message to Australians that the sacrifice of efforts of Australia was/is appreciated.

It is not as if the guy sits around picking his nose doing nothing. He earns his pay. Apparently he turned down a Canadian deployment in favour of Australia, so it seems he really wants to go to Australia.

Actually Harry isn't going to be in the military for some time. He has already announced his retirement in 4 weeks when this junket is over. Yes there are many military personnel on exchange programs and these are generally those that intend to soldier on and not those that have submitted thier discharge papers.
  9. <<The suspects said they worked for a man called Te and were paid 500 baht to do the job.

All the money they earned from the extortion would be given to him, they said.

Police are hunting for Te and other members of his extortion gang.<< Quote

Clearly the police don't like competition......................coffee1.gif

why make it public that they are hunting for him giving him the heads up. The other guys were suppose to hand the money over to him so just tag along.

I thought it was the poms who were the whingers? This is good PR for the Austrian forces and will probably be good for recruitment. Stop moaning.

You have to understand where Chooka comes from. Victoria, home of the whingers. No matter what you give them, they will moan and never have a good thing to say about anyone.

We are the envy of the entire country, the garden state, restaurant capital, melb cup, motor G.P, Australian Open, Grand prix, AFL grand final which comes with a public holiday, best surf beaches and the list goes on and on. We are a happy lot in the former capital of Australia.

  11. Didn't anyone really believe they weren't going to stick around in definately. Prayuth has article 44 and answers to no one. Anyone who opposes his reign can be rounded up, locked away forever or executed. He has his family heirloom which he intends to pass down to his children and god have mercy on anyone who doesn't adore and worship him.

  12. Our goal is to show the broader community and our visitors to Phuket, that we are just like them, by showing the many faces of our local Thai LGBT communities".

"Just like" couldn't be further from the truth.

True they couldn't possibly be any more different than the broader community.
  13. I do not believe any facts produced by ant Thai Government or department

But you believe the pro government and government facts, because Prayuth has given the order that all statements, polls etc must be pro prayuth and the government. Anyone not towing the line faces execution. After these orders I don't believe a single pro government statement as they are made under duress.
