Yea Scratching at Mandalay recently put in this policy about farangs paying 300b to get in. Also the 300b gave you a bottle of beer or a cocktail. What a joke and yea. Tired of the discrimination at these places.

have been thinking about getting an off road type bike to fuc_k around on.
Where is there a Lifan dealer in Chiang Mai? Im thinking about getting a use one tho.
-
I figure Im too much of a newbie to tell the difference. yea just as I was entering the bend I geared down and started slipping straight for the ditch. Wasnt sure what I should do and just slid into it straight on.
Gotta go to Mae Sai to get some armored pants now, after I get the NSR fixed up + new tires.
Thanks for your thoughts

I have two little MP3 players, they are each several years old. One is a Creative Zen Stone and the other is a Phillips Go Gear Mix. The Zen Stone is a great little unit but has no display. The Phillips has a small display to tell you which song or book chapter you are on. Both use the same audio cable size and ear phones connector (3.5 mm) and both work great through my car stereo. No possible way would I use a proprietary Apple. I can put any MP3 format on either of them with my computer and the Zen even can use Audible book format. I did buy a good set of Sony ear plug speakers. The little Sony ear plug speakers cost more than either player.
Where did you buy them and for what price?

ah shiet. Crashed my bike (again) going up Doi Suthep yesterday.
Slipped in a bend and ended up in the ditch. Left leg scraped up.
Think I had ridden like 13k+ km on those tires.
-
Yea I think I used mine a bit too much
How many km are they good for?
-
Well if I only buy an mp3 player then I dunno. Something around 2-3k baht I think. Really dont wanna pay more than that just for listening to music.
-
I heard those tires suck and ppl crash on them all the time!

ok def dont need to dish out that much. I guess Ill go to the local gym and ask

ahh man. I just feel bad spending so much on a phone tho
Even tho I know how awesome an iphone can be. I owned the first one and have had couple of android phones as well. After the last one broke I swore not to spend too much on a phone again.
I dont miss any of the apps on the phone, but do miss having a nice camera + now I need a mp3 player as well.

Slimming down atm, and would be nice to know how much my bodyfat % is at.Anyone know where I can get this done? Im thinking gyms might be first place to check, but if anyone knows for sure and how much it would cost, please reply. Thanks
-
Ill be using the mp3 player mostly for riding my motorbike.
Ability to take pics would be nice of course, while out riding.
I do need a new phone since the one I have now doesnt have a camera which sucks.
The only thing im worried about getting the new iphone is that the battery will get drained fast if I play music on it while out riding.

Want to get an mp3 player, but really want to see whats out there.
I know we got the Ipod etc.
What other mp3 players are there out there. Specifically want to see how cheap they get before making my decision wether just to get an ipod touch/nano or something else thats much cheaper.
Basically just want to see how much value I can get.
Thanks.

at least take the picture without the tankbag man

Sucks to ride in the rain. Being a new rider, Im extra scared of wet roads.

I just tried using ear plugs today while riding. Those normal foam plugs that take off 30 DBs.
It feels kinda surreal like youre in a video game with the volume turned all the way down.
My experience was that I had less of a feeling with the tachometer as I couldnt hear it as well as I do when I dont use earplugs. I had to look down at it several times.
I was also less sensitive about revving up the engine more, as I would be when Im at a stop light. Most inhibitions I have about revving up too much as not to be an annoyance to others seems to go out the window when im wearing earplugs.
The biggest thing was def the tachometer tho. I do feel like Im driving while deaf.

Where do i find information about road situuations down there?

Why is it so bad that facebook knows that kinda ads are relevant to you?

Can attest to KRS1 painting skillz.

Don't do it
Get a playstation or go to a track-day somewhere. If you record a DNF it won't hurt as much.
Isnt the closest track near bangkok somewhere? I heard its pretty far.
Very sound advice! +1
My fastest time up there?
No idea! Fast enough to enjoy the ride & slow enough to be safe!
BTW, isn't Doi Sutep where you had your recent spill after painting your bike?
It it was!
What was your weapon of choice Alex?
NSR 150 SP

Woah, anyone recommend some good earplugs?
-
haha I guess thats my excuse
Doi Suthep surely seems the safest route in the vicinity of the city to time yourself. Theres no crossroads and as long as you arent doing anything overly stupid it seems pretty safe. Also there seems to be enough challenge as there are lots of bends etc.
