  1. I suppose that you mean Seaview, rather than Oceanview.

The best way to find out what condo's there are with seaview, is to come down (or up?) here and check them out.

OK, the most of the ViewTalay Projects offer seaviews, but there are also "seaview" condo which cause only twisted necks when trying to catch a glimp of seaview

  2. Lawyer is in no position to offer a visa, neither is immigration, all they do is extend an existing visa that was issued overseas.

Visas can be issued (changed) at immigration.

    rsgs2001uk is right.......immigration can't issue a visa.

They are able to change the status of a visa or change the status of a "permission of stay".

Visas are only issued by Embassies and Consulates which are the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Immigration is the responsibility of the Ministry of Home Affairs in cooperation with the Royal Thai police.

  3. just because people think supercar driver types are often wan*rs doesnt mean they can't afford to buy a supercar.

i can assure you i have the money to buy one but i have no interest in buying a supercar as a c**k substitute or to seek status....i have no trouble in either department.

as for those fantastically rich bangkokians.....lol...there are a few but the percentage of rich bkk'ers is far smaller than it would be in say, london. there are a few people that bought land/property years ago and have become rich...but that isn't business savvy or foresight...just dumb luck.

    I'm a wanke_r, but I can't afford a super car........which means.........that owners of super cars are wanke_rs, but not all wanke_rs are owners of super cars. laugh.png

  4. Read the article before posting - A Swiss guy from Switzerland reported a German guy from Germany - two people - two nationalities - two countries.

Did you read the articles? One of them says the 'Swiss faker will be offered jail time...' Can't blame the reader for careless journalism.

I met a Singaporean on a bus in Vietnam a few years ago who swore that New Zealand was in Europe. She laughed mockingly when I told her that it was on the other side of the world and said that she must know better because she went to a "very expensive school in SIngapore".

Not "new" but Zeeland is a Dutch province. She wasn't that far off. whistling.gif

  5. does anyone think that the Swiss guy was bitter at paying the 15k price tag for a bad, outdated copy and then decided to grass up the german as some sort of revenge??? just a thought coffee1.gif

to be honest...........I think that the Swiss guy got caught with a fake DL by the coppers and probably the Swiss guy offered to report the scam to the police in exchange for a waiver of fees, fines and jail time.

Again another example that doing "business" with colleague-farangs most of the time sucks!!

  6. And why does it matter that he was the son of an Englishman, more sensationalism in reporting, what quality press we have.

Because, if it wasn't stated that he is the son of an Englishman, everybody would have said: "Stupid Thai <deleted>!"

Now responses will be more specific........"Stupid look kruung!!"

  7. If you need this certificate to prove your address for Thai officials, then a certificate of the immigration will do.

It's often misunderstood by people that when buying a property of motor-vehicle, they need a proof of address of their own embassy; a certificate of address from the nearest immigration is sufficient.

Copy of passport, 2 photo's, some utility bill with your name and address on it or a rental contract showing name and address and the application form.

Holders of a WP or being registered in a "yellow book" or having house-registration papers can do without a proof of address.

  8. Yesterday evening, driving along 3rd road in Pattaya towards the junction with Pattaya Klaang.

2 Rows of cars; one for going straight on and one for turning right.

Lights get green and the traffic starts moving slowly...........too slow for Pegas minivan number 24..........he passed the row of slowmoving cars, driving against the traffic in opposite direction and NOT to turn right......no......this action was just to get first in line to go straight on..........

The traffic lights turn red before he reaches the junction and we happen to stand side by side.......my on the right turning que and PEGAS NUMBER 24 for the going straight on que.

A use my horn to get his attention and open my left front window......he opened his window and I asked him if he was all right.........nobody hurt?

He gave me a real freakin' big mouth, but before he could end his story I closed my window.............

another example of freakin' minivan drivers.
