Preposterous circus affair. Can you imagine in most countries a double bomb event in the most tourist populated and traveled areas of a city like Bangkok where the police authorities are clueless and helpless? Only in Thailand, yet they claim that Bangkok is secure and safe.

Thai press doesn't have anyone capable of investigative journalism. Digging, fact checking, logic, ethics, structure, professional standards. All goes against Thai culture and character. No such thing as investigative journalism in Thailand.

Thais and the Thai press are obsessed with Yingluck and this rice pledging scheme.

Preposterous Thai tripe. Terribly written article. Surprising that a newspaper would even publish such tripe.

Thai authorities should bear down on them. Water hoses, tear gas, whatever it takes. No free speech should be permitted, no political opposition allowed. Zero tolerance. We can't have a happy society in Thailand if these pesky students and intellectuals are permitted to speak out and protest. The Thai government should stick to its mission to bring order to Thailand and suppress these demonstrations. The world will understand that Thailand is merely doing what is right for the country and preventing civil disorder.

This is a Thai news laugher. Thais essentially have no work ethic. They have no management leadership and developmental skills, so no Thais are actually trained in to a productive environment. The are merely given tasks to perform with no understanding of their need and value to the organization. Thai managers don't really exist. They perceive their role as "supervisors" pacing up and down waiting fr work to be handed in. They have no leadership skills or ability to create a vision and sense of purpose for workers. So shape up or ship out means what by Thai standards? Since they don't have standards or an understanding of true quality, who would be eligible to be shipped out? A fish stinks from the head.

The islamic terrorists went to a kosher super market to be certain that there wouldn't be any pork in the store. Had they gone in to a Carrefour for example, they would have run a huge risk of coming in contact with slabs of bloody pork and ground pork while running up and down the aisles.

Prayuth "clarifies," a Thai euphemism for attempts to justify and rationalize.

Where did they get the train carriage in the photo. I have never seen one of these comfortable and clean looking ones in Thailand and never saw passengers in suits.
It's a train in Japan.

Thais should have implemented a real estate property tax first, then the inheritance tax. How can you have an effective inheritance tax without first an assessment, and then an annual real estate tax? Or is this inheritance tax based on liquid assets only, cash, securities, gold..etc?

Rightly so, this Thai writer calls in to question the faulty "strategy" of Thai tourism advertising. Its mixed messages and confusing targeting. Other than this single observation, it is typically content free.

Thais "repairing" an unexploded RPG. Defies all logic.

I wonder what the full text of what he said reads like ?
Hard to imagine he was so definitive without an escape clause starting with words like ' providing, but only if ' and so on.
Thais always have buts, ands, becauses, ifs, and providing thats. If they are not explicit in the documents or transcriptions , they are always "implicit." Thais always look at a contract as something to be "interpreted" based on what the Thais were intending/thinking. The foreigner relies on the written English contract law, but the Thai "interprets" the written document to suit their needs later.

The Thais mve from done deal state secret to offering a piddling reward to the general public for "any" useful information. Don;t the Thais ever become ashamed of themselves?

"Sit Down." Clear fluency in English as another poster already pointed out.

In typical Thai aloofness and self absorption, Thais could not consider the plight of this on other nations or people. Thais only view any event in the world whether joy or tragedy as an event that either benefits or hinders Thai economics. Thais have no concern for the well-being of any nation or people outside Thailand.

The Thai public is "nodding." Thais nod and sign, they don't articulate.

The sharter draft is in good surveillance hands with Seri, Saree, Sombat and Pramon keeping a watchful eye on it. They believe, they're happy, and they agree.

More quick, instant Thai survey figures validating the way it will be. Thais know how to compile and statistically analyze surveys faster than any other professional survey firm or nation. Thais are amazing. It's so impressive that survey results can be produced so quickly and accurately in Thailand.

A hand tailored and manipulated instant Thai survey showed that exactly 94.7% opposed these floats. Who in their right mind would ever take Thai surveys seriously?

A panel of "Thai experts" is "calling on" the Thai government to take a leading role in cyber security. Whatever happened to the SONY hacking that supposedly originated from servers and IP addresses at a Thai five star hotel? The Thai press never followed up on that.

Too bad the Thais can't set up sting operations to bag Thai bank money launderers, counterfeit property racketeers, major pimps, Thai human traffickers. But they can set up a sting to entrap a small time foreign ice street dealer. Thai priorities.

"Secret Thai probes" in to public bombings in popular tourists locations should make everyone feel very secure about Thai security and that we are all in good hands with Thais.

The Thai press loves to aggrandize Thaksin and his family.

Three senior Bang Na police officers axed after a casino raid by troops
in Thailand News
Posted
Thais perceive that "being axed" is analogous to "transferred to an inactive post." It is not. The criminal Thai police should be arrested, jailed and indicted. Put on trial and if/when found guilty, jailed for long terms, fined, and stripped of all pay and benefits. The current Thai process and procedure of dealing with corrupt/criminal police is a joke. Everyone knows this. Thai enforcement of police criminality can't be taken seriously until Thais start really enforcing.
