Hoi Tony,
Company HR re-applied my visa on Nov 16, 2011. Before, I had a half year visa that expires on Dec , 31, 2011.
Since my husband has contract here for a few years, so my visa also follows this. Category "Non-IMM" (Not like in some countries, they have "Spouse" vsia etc)
When I got my new visa, I noticed the officer did not put in a "90 days reporting" remind slip with my visa, like last time.
But the 90 day reporting is a must, no matter how long is your visa.
I dont like to to the reporting because anyway I leave again (exactly on the 91st day )), and also want to save some space on my passport ))

My Visa shows I can stay till 31, Dec, 2013. But I still need to do report if I stay over every 90 days.

hmm, that is an important clue! Will defenitely go to Huay Yai to have a look. Ja, price is not problem. I know they often charge "farang price " here , he he

My calculation is:
Nov 29, Nov 30+ Whole Dec and Jan+ Feb 27 days=91 days
Of course, if it is precise to 24 hours/day, then surely my stay is less than 91 days.
.......We are all mathematicians now, ha ha

Went there last night. Not too many choices, most are grown up hamsters...
Checked one shop on 3rd road today, a dwarf hamster is 200 baht, and a cage is 800 baht....In my hometown, the same hamster and house cost only 35 baht and 150 baht....(of course, in cold country there are more hamsters ))))
Anyone knows where can find a shop with more choices of hammy ?
Thanks

Cool... still much cheaper than 800 baht airport taxi if I fly one day earlier alone , ho ho

Hi,
Anyone has ever been charged for this penalty?
My last arrival day was Nov 29, 2011.
And my next flight is Feb, 27, 2012, fly together with my husband.
So, theoretically, Feb 27 with be exactly my 91st day in Thailand.
Will I have problem in airport? Do they calculate the days so precisely? (just a few hours overstay.......)
How much is the penalty per day? I'm a bit lazy to do the "reporting", giggle
Thanks
Susan

Feb 6 is "Lantern Day" in China. It is another important Chinese festival.
I guess you heard "Feb 5" is because Feb 6 is a Monday and Feb 5 is Sunday, better to have party.
If Naklua has celebration, they will also put out the posters a few days in advance.

Guess my answer is too late.. But still worth posting, for next year!!!
At the end of the Nakula Road, there was big market and performance on the 2012 Chinese Luna New Year eve.
I went there and enjoyed it. There were western music show, thai traditional show and Chinese performance.
In Nuklua Park, they set up a big Chinese style stage for the little girls to do performance.
If there are Chinese holidays, Naklua road will also have some celebrations. I heard people say Naklua area used to be a China town in Pattaya.

Hallo,
I was "legitimate" in China, but hard to be "legitimate" here in Thailand ))
I did TCM for years in China. And here in Thailand, I still occasionally do treatment for people in need.
If you are interested, pls PM
Best Regards

Hallo,
Anyone was in BKK airport recently?
In the past, it took us 1 hour to drive to airport, and 40 min to finish all check in process.
I'm not sure if the above time gets longer due to the flood.
Will fly on this Sat... not want to get up too early and sit in airport too long....
Thanks

I know Bangkok Hospital Pattaya is the best in facilities etc and I go there quite often. But I do have some negative experience there:
1. Early this year, I had a cyst problem. The doctor there suggested me do operation. As I am also sort of doctor in my home country, I did not take his advice. Now, my cyst problem is gone due to good care and healthy life style. Operation is easy.. But if you dont solve the root reason, cyst will appear again quickly. Same like the stone problems in gall bladder and kidneys.
2. Last month, I went there again for some pre-pregnancy advice and folic acid too....The doctor gave me a bottle of 5mg each pill....... Later I realized these large doze pills are for anemia. If pregnant women take this every day , as the doctor suggested, there could come serious consequences.
Am 36 and never had baby before. I have to be very careful in choosing a good hospital....or, even more important, a good doctor. I keep gathering info around Thanks for all the above info !!!

Penalty For Over Stay Than 90 Days
in Pattaya
Posted
I got a stamp on Nov 29, 2011 on my passport, when I retured to Thailand. The custom officer filled "31/12/13" in the blank column.
Mine is a "multiple" re-entry visa, valid till 31, Dec, 2013, same as that of my husband. (applied with the support from company HR)
To be honest, I still dont know how they define "90 days". But the bottom line is, my overstay (if there is an overstay) is a few hours only if I leave on Feb 27, 2012.
PS: If I enter the Thai custom at 11:59PM, or exit the custom at 00:01AM, is the currenty day also counted "one day stay"?!?!?!?!?
