Its the standard look in the UK now.
Not in most parts of the UK, except for a fairly narrow age group (or wannabees ).

Will this have a bad effect on the majority, good teachers of English ?

BUT now, the only Chinese police in LOS will be working undercover

It is not related to providing assistance to the Thai police.
What has been omitted from this press release is that the Chinese police will probably operate out of a Chinese 'Police station' sited locally. This has happened in other countries. Using body cams for facial recognition, they can remove any 'undesirables' into the secure facility from where they can (will) be secretly repatriated.

For that amount of money, one could stay a few times a year in a high quality hotel.

So many injuries, so wondering if the passengers were wearing seat belts ?
Doesn't prevent all injuries but often reduces their severity.

The Dublin Regulation has not been adhered to be many countries ...........
""The Dublin Regulation (also known as Dublin III) is EU law setting out which country is responsible for looking at an individual’s asylum application. This is usually the country where the asylum seeker first arrives in the EU. ""
Why should the UK be the recipient of other countries 'passing the buck' and not following this Regulation ?
And, the DR is specifically concerned with Asylum Seekers , not economic migrants.

This isn't an advertised event and also an annual event raising funds latently until Kumar decided to draw attention for all the wrong reasons. Are you okay?
yes. this EVENT is never reported in the media, so no-one ever gets to hear about it(!) Would these generous patrons not donate to charity if it weren't for the EVENT ?
BTW - who is Kumar - didn't he used to live at #42
-
Why do we need an EVENT to give to charity? What's wrong with giving anonymous donations? Nothing to do with being seen to donate, I am sure.
"Look at me, Look at me, everybody. Can't you all see how generous I am ?"
.
But, then again, I might be wrong.

'English Speakers' is not the same as 'English Teachers'.
Knowing how to teach is just as important as what to teach, and the 'Conversational' English, which is the limit for many of us, is hardly adequate for a serious teaching role.

I would trust ONS more than your characterisation of fake news.
and the ONS is not beyond reproach, as any check on 'Prof. Google' can confirm. Their sampling methods have been questioned many times.
Not saying they are wrong in this instance, just be careful with anyone who relies on statistics to bolster their case.

All retail is in business to make money. Buy what you need, not what you want.
Caveat emptor.

Not sure the Chinese are 'propagating' corruption here, rather than exploiting a pre-existing situation for more than it's worth ( to the Kenyan economy).

why transfer the sum into Thailand until you need it ? Most Western countries have easy-access accounts offering better rates than many Thai banks.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes ? It's not a new problem - first written about 2000 years ago. Who controls the people in power ?
Only an independent judiciary, the Rule of Law and with Rights enshrined in law can protect the people.

Did the Language school check if this person was on the UK Sex offenders registry before employing him ? That sort of behaviour is often a life long obsession.

so, when will they begin true and total democracy in the EU ? e.g. recent Italian elections and the newly - elected coalition's choice of Finance minister - not pro-EU enough, so barred by EU place men (unelected). And, many more examples.
This visit is not about reviewing Thailand's level of democracy, It is nothing more than a freebe holiday at tax-payers expense.

I've actually met Germans who speak better English than English people do.
Fair comment. There is some truth in that, because English language is so poorly taught in schools these days.
As for language used on TV, surely that is not necessary, or the monosyllabic world of computer games ........... ( signs of a grumpy old man writing this ☺️ )
