Why do we need an EVENT to give to charity?     What's wrong with giving anonymous donations?               Nothing to do with being seen to donate, I am sure.

'English Speakers'  is not the same as 'English Teachers'.

Knowing how to teach is just as important as what to teach,  and the 'Conversational' English, which is the limit for many of us, is hardly adequate for a serious teaching role.

Fair comment.  There is some truth in that, because English language is so poorly taught in schools these days.
