let's see how the liberals defend this "unexpected" turn of events.

only punishment for those criminals is repatriation. no reason for taxpayers to shoulder the costs of their incarceration in germany

but, many of these "refugees" have no ID papers,  so, which country can they be returned to, and which country would accept them with no ID ?

All the "refugee" needs to do is destroy any ID and deny their country of origin.

Yes of course they do and they made that plain from day one, in fact even before the referendum should it go that way.  They want to send a warning to other member countries that  leaving the EU comes at a cost and although there is room for some negotiations and concessions they will never be preferable to staying in.  The Brexiteers love pointing out that leaving the EU will hurt them so what do you expect?

If the UK had a realistic plan then maybe we could come out of this with limited damage but so far they haven't and they seem pretty clueless.  There are no surprises here, we were all warned that this would be result, time to swallow hard and brace ourselves!

The reality is no other state can afford to leave, bar very few.  The majority of states are so dependent on cash inflow from Brussels.  The English saying is "beggars can't be choosers".

Having travelled widely in many EU countries,  it is really surprising how little is known by most people one meets,  about the workings  and (mis-) management of the EU.  These matters are seldom aired in their national Press or TV.

  3. So,   if he now resides  in a country with no extradition treaty with Thailand, what next ?

http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/translation-police-documents-boss-extradition-done The OAG will send the request for Mr Vorayudh’s extradition to the country where the fugitive stays.  He did not mention the country by its name, saying only that the country has an extradition treaty with Thailand.

so,  he moves on to a country with no extradition treaty, what next ?

On reflection I do have some (not a lot) of sympathy with the police especially those charged with policing some of the more "challenging" places in the US where the streets are awash with weaponry some of which out-guns the Police sidearms.

Sadly though I have to conclude there is a discipline/attitude problem infecting Americas police.

European police (the vast majority of whom are armed) do not recurrently experience poor policing which results in civilian "death by cop" cases.

but,  the report states "" home in a quiet, upper-middle-class neighborhood "".        so, not the challenge to which you refer.

  5. There was a time when Jaguar was one of the few manufacturers producing  elegant cars.   Now,  most manufacturers, Jag included, employ designers whose design criteria are either akin to the Tonka-toy,  or are stuck with a 'futuristic' design appealing to the boys who read  space comic books back in the 20th century.

  6. Not sure that Theresa May has ever promised a Hard Brexit.  She promised to pursue whatever was considered best for the UK.   The term "Hard Brexit" has been coined by other Political Parties as a term of abuse.    The "Hardness" of Brexit will depend on the attitude of the remaining EU members.    Naturally,  before any negotiation begins,   firm sets of proposals are prepared from each side,  and it's all down to negotiation thereafter. Anyone who as ever been involved in business negotiations will understand this process.

Quote : Theresa May has since distanced herself from her spokesperson’s remarks.

    So :

1/ she doesn't have the guts to acknowledge that Britain is the US's little dog on a leash, and has been ever since the days of Margaret T.

2/ she hires a spokesperson who speaks only for him/herself ? It's either cynicism or amateurism, and both stink.

That is the way most governments operate. Spokespeople do most of the speaking.

Kerry hired a Spokesman for the US government to make the response.

  8. if young children cannot keep up with simple maths,  it is more likely to be a teaching problem,  rather than a learning problem.  Teachers and parents should modify their ways !

What ever the background of the parents,  the teachers should know better.

Are there teacher training establishments in this country which endorse this action ?
